feat(recovery): make rollback-recovery image lifecycle visible and controllable (#1753)
* feat(recovery): make rollback-recovery image lifecycle visible and controllable GitHub discussion #1751 asked why Sencho creates sencho-rb/<id>/<service>:hold images during automatic updates and how to clean them up. That surfaced a real safety bug alongside the missing visibility: the manual single-image delete route did not consult the held-image predicate every other deletion path already honors, so a user could delete a rollback-protected image straight through the Images tab and silently break automatic recovery for that update. A short/truncated id also bypassed the predicate's full-id lookup. Fixes: - POST /images/delete now resolves the submitted id to its canonical form and checks the unified held-image predicate before deleting, returning 409 IMAGE_HELD_FOR_ROLLBACK for a protected image. - The Images tab no longer mislabels a protected image as plain "Unused"; a fully-synthetic hold image is kept out of the generic inventory entirely and surfaced instead in a new Resources -> Rollback tab, with an additive "Rollback protected" badge for images that still carry a normal tag too. New capability: - Two settings (Deploy Guardrails): superseded-generation retention (days, replaces a hardcoded 7) and a cap on retained generations per stack. - A new Resources -> Rollback tab lists every generation (stack, short id, state, retention) with an admin-gated manual release action, including releasing the current generation with an explicit warning that automatic rollback becomes unavailable until the next successful update. Release is a single atomic, server-revalidated transition so a stale UI read can never release a row that has since become ineligible. Also consolidated three near-duplicate implementations of the held-image predicate (two of which relied on a require() of a sibling .ts file that silently failed to resolve under the test runner and was never actually exercised by a real test before this change) into one shared module. Known follow-up, not fixed here: an orphaned sencho-rb tag whose recovery row no longer exists (DB restore, node re-add) is invisible in both the Images and Rollback tabs with no UI path to reclaim it. * fix(audit): add summary mapping for rollback generation release * fix(security): sanitize prune target in log sinks and cover release RBAC Closes two open js/log-injection findings on the system prune route by applying the same inline sanitizeForLog barrier the rest of the file already uses. The prune target is validated against an enum by parsePruneTargets before reaching these sinks, so the findings were false positives, but the barrier is cheap and removes the standing alerts on a file this change already touches. Also wraps the generation id in the release log line for consistency with the stack name beside it. Adds coverage for gaps a QA pass identified: - Release endpoint refuses a viewer and a deployer (Admin-only), leaving the generation and its artifacts untouched. - Viewer can still read the generations list, matching the sibling Resources routes. - The predicate the prune routes build reports full-stack rollback holds, not just service-scoped ones, and re-reads per call so a hold taken between plan and delete still gates the delete. - After releasing the current generation, no rollback point is claimed for the stack through any consumer of the current-generation lookup. |

* fix(dashboard): replace Stack Health update badge with an icon The pill badge duplicated space already used by the stack name column. A CircleArrowUp icon after the name signals an update is available without competing with the existing ArrowUp/ArrowDown sort indicators in the same table. * fix(dashboard): add accessible name to update-available icon Icon-only indicators need an aria-label directly on the icon; title on a non-interactive span is not reliably announced by screen readers. * test(dashboard): cover the update-available icon's accessible name The icon-only indicator and its aria-label fix had no regression guard, unlike the equivalent update dot in StackRow. * refactor(dashboard): compute the update-available label once per row It was being derived twice (title and aria-label) from the same row.outdatedServices input. * fix: drop Community-tier pricing upsells from settings Community operators no longer see the "See pricing" link in Licensing or the "Need direct support?" callout in Support. The pricing link now only shows for an expired paid license needing to renew. * fix: make Resources images/volumes tables actually scrollable The tables were wrapped in a Radix ScrollArea sized with max-h-[62vh]. Radix's viewport uses height:100%, which cannot resolve against an ancestor whose computed height is auto (max-height alone isn't a definite height), so the viewport silently grew past the visible box and the extra rows were clipped with no way to reach them. Verified live: several image rows were permanently unreachable, with no working internal scrollbar and not enough outer page scroll to compensate. Switched to an explicit h-[62vh], which the viewport can resolve correctly, matching every other working ScrollArea in the codebase. Falls back to h-auto below the md breakpoint so the bespoke mobile layout keeps shrinking to content and scrolling via the outer page instead of gaining a fixed-height inner scroll box. * fix: apply ScrollArea definite-height fix across remaining lists Radix ScrollArea needs an explicit height, not max-height, or the viewport collapses and clipped rows become unreachable. Extend the Resources fix to security, settings, git, and create/import surfaces, and drop redundant outer wrappers where ModalBody already scrolls. * fix: migrate Networking tables to Radix ScrollArea Networks and Findings used native max-h + overflow-auto, which worked but broke glass scrollbar consistency with Resources and the design system. Reading policies stays auth-only; mutations and exports stay admin-only. Frontend: always show the Policies tab and panel, the SARIF and VEX export actions, and the honor-suppressions toggle for admins. Detect 64-hex names and show a short prefix (e.g. 079dfda49f2c…) in the table cell and sheet title, with the full name available on hover and an "anonymous" chip so the truncation is self-explanatory. The volume browser sheet adds a band that keeps the full hash visible and copyable. Named volumes still display in full. The name is passed verbatim to the API; only the rendered label changes. |

Extend the effective-model parser with service network membership, extra_hosts, and label keys (key names only, never values), and add a key-space normalized network model with adapters from both the rendered model and the raw declared compose so the Inspector and drift share one comparison. Expose GET /api/stacks/:stackName/networking: advisory and read-only, it renders the authored model only and never returns or logs raw stderr, env values, or label values. * feat: store and edit per-stack and per-service exposure intent Add a stack_exposure_intent table (intent values constrained by a CHECK, unique per node, stack, and service) with DAO methods to read, upsert, clear one row, and clear all rows for a stack. The classification is stored independently of the generated networking facts so a later mismatch stays detectable; service rows are kept separately from the stack-level row (service ''). It reads each stack's compose with the light dependency parser and one Docker snapshot, so it stays cheap across a node's full stack set, and it skips drift when the runtime is unreachable rather than inventing it. Serve it node-locally at GET /api/networking/summary, and aggregate it fleet-wide at GET /api/fleet/networking-summary: the hub computes its own summary in-process and reaches each remote through its node-local route, degrading an unreachable or older node to a skip. Because the aggregate lives under the proxy-exempt /api/fleet prefix it is never wrongly proxied. The Fleet overview gains a networking filter chip backed by that aggregate, fetched fail-soft and detached so it never gates the grid. * fix: spin the Networking refresh button while it reloads The refresh button silently refetched the same data, so a click gave no feedback. Track a refreshing state and spin the icon while the load is in flight, disabling the button, matching the Compose Doctor preflight button. * fix: apply effective per-service exposure intent to unclassified checks The "unclassified exposure" decisions only consulted the stack-level intent row, so a service classified directly (with no stack row) was still reported as unclassified, and a service explicitly marked unknown over a classified stack was missed. Both the exposure-unclassified preflight rule and the networking summary's unknown-exposure bucket now resolve the effective intent per publishing service (service row overrides stack row), matching the precedence already used by the exposure-internal-published rule. * fix: resolve drift network names via the compose top-level name When a compose file sets a top-level name:, Docker prefixes resource names with that project name instead of the stack directory. The light dependency parser dropped name:, so network-drift normalization compared runtime networks against directory-prefixed names and reported false network-undeclared / network-missing findings. Threads isAdmin from useAuth() into SecuritySection, SuppressionsPanel, and MisconfigAckPanel. Updates the scan-result sheet caller in ResourcesView so SBOM and SARIF render only when paid AND admin; passes canManageSuppressions to the stack-misconfig sheet so admins can ack misconfigs from that surface too. Read paths remain visible to non-admins (policy list, suppression list, ack list, scan history) since the GET routes are auth-only on both sides. * fix(security): close 3 remaining scan-sheet parity gaps from review Code review surfaced three sites missed in the first pass: 1. SecurityHistoryView opened the scan sheet with canGenerateSbom set only on isPaid, so Skipper non-admins saw SBOM and SARIF buttons even though the backend requires admin+paid. Now ANDed with isAdmin. 2. ResourcesView passed onRescan unconditionally, and the sheet renders a Re-scan primary action whenever onRescan is defined. The sheet now probes /fleet/role internally and ANDs !isReplica into the effective canManageSuppressions, so the column hides on a replica regardless of how the caller wired the prop. * fix(security): clear isReplica state on every scan-sheet probe The previous probe only flipped the state to true on a replica response and never wrote false on a control, non-OK, or skipped probe. With the sheet kept mounted by ResourcesView, SecurityHistoryView, and ShellOverlays, an admin who first viewed a scan on a replica would keep suppress/ack controls hidden even after switching to a control instance, because the stale true value persisted across re-opens. The effect now resets isReplica to false at the start of every probe and assigns the result of /fleet/role directly. Probe failures and skips leave the state at false, so the UI is permissive and the backend blockIfReplica guard remains the source of truth. |

Final PR of the System Sheet (§9.11) chrome rollout, stacked on PR 2.
Migrates the last five sheet consumers and extracts the inline network
detail sheet from ResourcesView into its own file.
Sheets migrated:
* VolumeBrowserSheet: crumb Resources > Volumes > {name}, Refresh tree
primary, footer audit-log notice. Uses the new SystemSheet noScroll
prop because the body is a 2-pane file browser that manages its own
scroll regions; each pane (file tree, file preview) wraps its scroll
region in ScrollArea per §10 Scrollbars.
* ImageDetailsSheet: crumb Resources > Images > {name}. Three sections
(Overview, Config, Layers) flush against hairlines. Removed the
icon-prefixed title and per-layer card wrapping (replaced with
divide-y dividers).
* NetworkDetailSheet: NEW file extracted from the inline 150-line
network sheet that lived inside ResourcesView.tsx. Crumb Resources >
Networks > {name}. Five sections (Overview, IPAM, Options, Connected,
Labels). Re-exports NetworkInspectData so ResourcesView can import
the type. ResourcesView now renders the extracted component and drops
its now-unused Sheet, ScrollArea, copyToClipboard, Copy, and Container
imports.
* AppStoreView template detail sheet: crumb App store > {template}.
Tabs Essentials | Advanced. Deploy lifted from SheetFooter into the
toolbar primary slot. The remote-target signal (was a Badge in the
header) collapses into the meta line as "→ {remoteName}".
* BlueprintDetail: the §9.11 reference implementation, intentionally
migrated last. Crumb Blueprints > {name}. The kebab dropdown
dissolves into individual toolbar actions: Apply now (primary), Edit
(secondary, when not in editMode), Enable/Disable (secondary), Delete
(destructive). Body has Description, Deployments, Compose sections.
Primitive enhancement:
* Added noScroll?: boolean to SystemSheet. When true, the body is
rendered as a flex container instead of being wrapped in ScrollArea.
Caller manages its own scroll regions and body padding.
Final state: frontend/src/components/ui/sheet.tsx is now imported only
by TopBar.tsx (mobile nav drawer, intentionally out of scope per the
plan) and SystemSheet itself. The §9.11 rollout is complete.

* feat(volumes): add read-only volume browser Adds a browser for the contents of any Docker named volume. Click the folder icon on a volume row (admin only) to open a sheet with a directory tree on the left and a file viewer on the right. Backend ------- New VolumeBrowserService spawns a one-shot Alpine 3.20 helper container with the target volume mounted read-only at /v. The container runs as nobody (65534:65534) with a read-only rootfs, no network, all caps dropped, no-new-privileges, and capped at 64 PIDs and 128 MiB. The helper image is pulled on first use per node. Listing and stat use a portable busybox-compatible shell loop (find -printf is not available on Alpine). Reads use head -c with an explicit -- separator; the helper's working directory is /v so user paths are passed as ./<path> argv elements and never as flags. The container lifecycle is managed manually (create, attach, start, wait, remove) to avoid the AutoRemove race where dockerode sees a 404 on its post-exit container lookup. Path safety: relative paths are sanitized server-side, rejecting parent-escape segments, absolute paths, null bytes, and oversized input. Symlinks are listed but never followed on read. Files larger than 5 MB are truncated; binary content is detected via null-byte scan and returned base64-encoded. Non-zero helper exits map to 404, 403, or 500 by classifying stderr. Routes mounted at /api/volumes: - GET /:name/list?path= - GET /:name/stat?path= - GET /:name/read?path= All three require admin. The read endpoint always inserts an audit log row (success or failure) with the actual response status code, volume name, and relative path. Frontend -------- FileTree generalized to take a loadDir callback and a sourceKey instead of a hard-coded stackName. The single existing consumer (StackFileExplorer) was updated and its tests rewritten. The loader is read through a ref so re-creating the arrow on every parent render does not re-trigger the root fetch effect. New VolumeBrowserSheet renders the tree against the volume API, shows file content (hex view for binaries), and surfaces truncation. Rapid sheet open and reopen on different volumes is generation- checked to avoid stomping the visible result with a stale read. A persistent footnote reminds the user that file reads are recorded in the audit log, and the docs page warns about the typical contents of database volumes. Tests ----- 15 new vitest cases cover the pure helpers (path traversal, volume name validation, binary detection). When a lazy chunk fetch fails, the existing top-level ErrorBoundary shows
"Something went wrong" with a "Try again" CTA. "Try again" cannot succeed
against a chunk URL that no longer exists on the server (typical post-
deploy case where the user's tab was opened against an older bundle).
The right remedy is to reload the tab so the browser fetches the new
hashed chunks emitted by the current build.
Add LazyBoundary, a section-local error boundary that:
- Detects chunk-load errors via a substring union covering Chrome / Edge
("Failed to fetch dynamically imported module"), Safari ("Importing a
module script failed"), Firefox ("disallowed MIME type" thrown when a
deploy serves SPA index.html for a missing chunk URL), older Webpack
("Error loading dynamically imported module"), and Vite ("Loading
chunk/CSS chunk N failed").
- For chunk errors, renders a glass-card matching the LockCard aesthetic
with an AlertTriangle icon, a "This part of Sencho needs a reload"
message, and a Reload CTA that calls window.location.reload().
- For non-chunk runtime errors, falls back to "Something went wrong" +
the error message + a Try again CTA. Try again is safe on this path
because the lazy import has already resolved before the render error
fires.
- Logs to console.error in componentDidCatch so the underlying failure
is still observable.
- Has role="alert" so screen readers announce the failure.
Wrap every existing Suspense site (1 in SettingsPage, 7 in EditorLayout
including the security-history overlay, 1 in ResourcesView) with
LazyBoundary. The top-level ErrorBoundary remains the catch-all for
errors that escape the section-local boundary.
Includes a unit test enumerating each browser's documented chunk-load
message so a regression in any one runtime is caught early.
