feat(fleet): add Node details sheet to the node card kebab (#1752)
* feat(fleet): add Node details sheet to the node card kebab Every Fleet node card now carries a "Node details" kebab item, open to any role that can see the card (previously the kebab only rendered for users with node-manage permissions, so plain viewers had none). The sheet shows connectivity, live capacity, Compose workload, version/capability compatibility, and governance info (labels, cordon reason and date, default-node flag, Compose directory, registration date) using data the Fleet page already fetches, plus one lazy call to the existing node meta endpoint for capabilities. Wired into both the desktop card and the mobile bespoke Fleet screen. * fix(fleet): correct Node details sheet timestamp units and update-status fallback QA against a live 3-node fleet found that last_successful_contact and pilot_last_seen come back from the fleet-overview endpoint in Unix seconds, but the sheet passed them straight into a milliseconds-only formatter, rendering values like "20647d ago" instead of "just now". Both are now converted before formatting. The Compatibility section's update-status badge also fell through to a confident "Up to date" whenever updateStatus was absent (e.g. on mobile, which doesn't poll update status) instead of reflecting that there was no data to back the claim; it now renders "Unknown" in that case. The local node no longer shows a misleading "Last successful contact: Never". Reworded the "read-only sheet" language in the docs page to describe the sheet accurately, since the Governance section's label picker stays editable for node managers by design. |

feat: account for VM memory ballooning in host memory reporting (#1750)
* feat: account for VM memory ballooning in host memory reporting Extend hostMemory.ts with a readBalloonedMemory() function that parses the Balloon: field from /proc/meminfo, following the same fail-open pattern as the ZFS ARC integration. When a nonzero balloon is detected, effective memory fields (effectiveUsed, effectiveFree, effectiveUsagePercent) are computed and exposed through /api/system/stats and /api/fleet/overview. All consumers that derive meaning from host memory now prefer effective values when present: the dashboard gauge, Fleet card RAM bar, mobile views, health verdict, health status bar stat tile, and host RAM alerts. Backward compatible: missing /proc/meminfo or absent Balloon: line preserves exact current behavior. Old remote nodes without the new fields continue rendering normally. * refactor: extract shared helpers for balloon memory wiring Extract readCandidateFile() and logSelectedPath() in hostMemory.ts to deduplicate ARC and balloon file-read logic. Add memoryToWire() to centralize the optional-field spread used by /api/system/stats and /api/fleet/overview. Add getNodeMemUsed()/getNodeMemTotal() helpers in nodeUtils.ts for frontend byte-text consumers. * fix: make desktop fleet masthead aggregate balloon-aware The desktop fleet overview's memory aggregate in useFleetOverview.ts still summed raw memory.used, while the mobile fleet aggregate and per-node cards already used effective values. Update to use getNodeMemUsed/getNodeMemTotal helpers. * fix: revert balloon adjustment from alerting and health decisions Ballooned memory is host-reclaimed (unlike ZFS ARC, which the guest can reclaim on demand). The guest cannot get ballooned pages back until the hypervisor deflates them, so treating ballooned memory as available for alerting or health can mask real memory pressure. Keep balloon parsing, wire fields, and the dashboard context line as informational-only. The memory gauge, health verdict, and host RAM alerts now use the standard ARC-adjusted working-set percentage regardless of balloon. Updated configuration.mdx and dashboard.mdx to document that balloon data is informational and does not influence alerting. |

feat(fleet): reapply Compose configuration without a version update (#1716)
* feat(fleet): reapply Compose configuration without a version update Add a distinct Fleet Reapply configuration path so Compose-managed nodes can recreate Sencho from the current on-disk project when already up to date, without pulling or rewriting the image reference. * fix(fleet): confirm remote reapply and close concurrent tracker race Require confirmation for remote compose reapply, and lock dispatch before the remote POST so a second request cannot overwrite a successful in-flight tracker. * fix(ui): icon-only Reapply control so Up to date badge can breathe Collapse the Node updates Reapply label into a tooltip so the status pill no longer wraps in the Status column. * feat(editor): Save & Reapply self-stack via fleet compose reapply (#1726) * feat(editor): Save & Reapply self-stack via fleet compose reapply Eligible admins can apply on-disk Compose edits to Sencho's own stack from the editor using the same confirm, dispatch, and reconnect path as Fleet Node Updates. * fix(editor): gate Save & Reapply label to self-stack only Ordinary stacks were labeled Save & Reapply whenever the node was reapply-eligible. Require the selected file to be the self-stack for the toolbar label and diff confirm CTA. * fix(ui): move compose diff action label helper out of dialog module Keep ComposeDiffPreviewDialog component-only so react-refresh Fast Refresh lint passes after the Save and reapply stacked merge. |

feat: node-scoped Networking operator page (#1603)
* feat: add node-scoped Networking operator page Adds a Networking view with overview, topology, inventory, and findings. Shared aggregate reads back the page; Resources keeps prune and redirects here. Includes fail-closed network delete guards, operator docs, and /nodes/:slug/networking routing. * fix: rename unused variable n to _n to satisfy no-unused-vars lint * fix: keep top bar search clickable when nav grows * feat: complete Compose-first Networking Phase 2 operator assistant * fix: move networking action visibility helper out of component module * feat(networking): complete Compose-first Networking operator page Finish the node-scoped Networking page (Overview, Networks, Topology, Findings) with design-system parity and correct finding semantics. - Rebuild detail sheets on SystemSheet/SheetSection; align the tab band, masthead, and mobile tone with Fleet and Security. - Encode the host-mode and exposure severity matrix; fix collision counts so intentional shared externals are not flagged; add one typed drift predicate shared by inventory, topology, badges, and overview counts. - Preserve per-container attachments and IPs on topology node clicks; drawer-only click with an explicit logs action; ownership and boolean filters; bound large graphs before layout. - Aggregate cached Compose Doctor findings into the Findings tab with honest source labels, structural merge and dedupe, staleness reconciliation, and a shared exposure-context helper both engines use. - Networks tab: privacy-safe service search, precise ownership counts, schema v3 with version-2 adapters on every endpoint, pre-confirm delete reasons, and the shared sortable table with an internal scroll region. - Interop: Fleet node-card networking signal with pending-intent navigation, stack-to-node backlink, and Dossier/Drift deep links. - Enrich sanitized inspect with an allowlisted connected-container list; fetch topology once and filter client-side. - Docs and tests across every new finding kind, adapter, and flow. * fix(networking): correct drift count, exposure fail-soft, and inspect crash paths Address code-review findings on the Networking page implementation: - Fix the Overview drift count to use the shared drift-kind predicate instead of a hardcoded list that omitted external-network-missing. - Gate Compose Doctor's unclassified-exposure and reverse-proxy-undocumented rules on exposure-context availability, so a DB read failure no longer fabricates findings (mirrors the live engine's existing fail-soft behavior). - Guard the per-stack exposure-intent read in topology aggregation so a transient DB failure degrades to unknown intent instead of failing the whole response. - Harden the network detail drawer against a partial inspect payload from an older remote node, and log the real error instead of a bare catch. - Remove now-duplicated severity-rank and drift-kind helpers in favor of the shared modules; drop dead backend-only exports; widen the frontend schema version type to a plain number instead of casting past a literal type. - Add coverage for the delete-guard precedence, the full host-mode severity matrix, the schema-2 compatibility adapter, and the sanitized connected- container allowlist; tighten two tests that were not exercising the behavior they claimed to. * fix: add missing onOpenNodeNetworking prop to FleetView experimental test The added required prop on FleetViewProps broke the merge-build when the test file (on main but not on this branch) was compiled against the updated FleetView interface. |

feat: add Admiral Hardened Build channel and business assurance surfaces (#1629)
* feat: add Admiral Hardened Build channel and business assurance surfaces Introduce Studio Saelix entitlement-backed Hardened Build switching, a single-flight image operation coordinator, Recovery Vault naming, Admiral Account settings, and typed Fleet update failures while preserving Community custom-repo and targetless pull-current updates. * fix: harden image-op paths and clear CI CodeQL/pilot flake Validate operation IDs before filesystem use, use hostname checks in Fleet fetch mocks, sanitize registry probe logs, and swallow expected TCP teardown errors in the pilot reverse-route post-handshake test. * fix: sanitize image-op docker config write and probe logs Allowlist-copy registry host keys and base64 auth before writing the temp DOCKER_CONFIG, and log registry probe failures with a fixed message so CodeQL no longer flags network-to-file and log-injection mediums. * fix: address Admiral Hardened Build audit blockers Expose imageChannel so hardened Fleet peers still POST for typed rejection, claim community updates before 202, terminalize helper failures, gate Hardened on paid, and align support/docs/e2e wording. * fix: terminalize image ops on helper survival and aborted claims * fix: prevent recreating persist from overwriting helper-exit failure * test: assert helper-exit failure lands before recreating persist * fix: keep current pointer when acknowledging a stale image operation |

fix(ui): lower-overhead Reduced effects for constrained GPUs (#1616)
* fix(ui): lower-overhead Reduced effects path for constrained GPUs Disable backdrop-filter glass and solidify chrome fills when data-effects is reduced (Calm default), with Appearance warning and docs for constrained rendering devices. Related to #1614. * test(ui): harden Reduced effects glass e2e and docs wording Parse Color Level 4 slash alpha so opacity asserts are not vacuously true, cover dialog/toast/overlay both ways with stable data-sn hooks, and soften troubleshooting copy that overstated the unmeasured diagnosis. * docs(ui): lead constrained-GPU guidance with Reduced Motion Rename the troubleshooting section to neutral GPU framing, point Appearance and docs at Reduced Motion first, and show the callout whenever Motion is off so Calm or Reduced effects alone do not hide the validated workaround. |

fix: UI polish - tooltips, masthead, tabs, settings, and layout consistency (#1563)
* fix: increase masthead rail shimmer visibility Bumped shimmer highlight opacity from 25% to 50% and reduced animation duration from 11s to 5s, matching the login page AuthCanvas shimmer precedent (via-white/60 at 4.5s). * fix: reduce masthead rail opacity to match login page pattern Changed all MastheadRail background classes from 100% to 70% opacity (bg-brand → bg-brand/70, etc.) so the shimmer highlight reads as a surface reflection rather than a detached floating bar. Matches the AuthCanvas login card precedent. * fix: improve masthead rail glow visibility Replaced the invisible inset box-shadow glow (10px blur inside a 3px element) with a white overlay that pulses opacity 0.15-0.55 over 4s. Sped up glow animation from 5.5s to 4s for a more noticeable breath. * fix: replace cursor-follow tooltip with standard Radix tooltip in sidebar rows Replaced the Cursor/CursorFollow animate-ui primitives in StackRow with the standard Radix Tooltip/TooltipTrigger/TooltipContent already used throughout the app. The custom cursor dot that followed the mouse is gone; tooltips now appear as static popovers on hover/touch. * fix: wrap tooltip icon triggers in span for Radix compatibility TooltipTrigger asChild requires a native element to forward props. Lucide icon components did not reliably receive data-state and event handlers, so tooltips on the check-failed and git-pending indicators did not open. Wrapped each icon in a span. * fix: rename Notification Routing to Routing in settings sidebar * fix: replace Timeline/All tasks buttons with SegmentedControl The two loose Button elements had indistinguishable selected/unselected states (secondary vs ghost). Replaced with the SegmentedControl component already used elsewhere on the same page, which has a clear active highlight indicator. * fix: standardize Blueprint empty state headings to font-heading Replaced manual font-serif [font-style:var(--heading-style)] with the font-heading class on the main heading and three step titles so the Deployments empty state follows the same heading convention as the rest of the app and respects the Calm/Signature theme toggle. * fix: remove custom tooltip styling, use standard TooltipContent defaults The RowTooltip wrapped its label in a font-mono text-stat-value span instead of using the TooltipContent base styling (text-xs text-popover-foreground) like every other tooltip in the app. * Revert "fix: remove custom tooltip styling, use standard TooltipContent defaults" This reverts commit |

feat: enforce singleton local node per instance (#1567)
Only one local node is allowed. Creating a second local returns 409, and the last local node cannot be deleted or converted to a remote type. Existing duplicate local nodes from older versions are preserved and can be cleaned up individually. Zero-local recovery auto-assigns the default flag. Frontend delete surfaces and the Add Node form respect the new invariant. Enforced in DatabaseService (addNode/updateNode/deleteNode guards) and routes (error translations). Legacy test fixtures use raw SQL helpers. |

fix: make Reduced motion gate overlays, standardize the tab band, and polish fleet/snapshots (#1504)
* fix: address review feedback on motion, fleet band, and snapshots - Reduced motion now also skips the animate-ui overlay open/close animations (dialog, sheet, popover, dropdown-menu) via a shared useReducedTransition that zeroes the transition when reduced motion is active; MotionConfig alone only neutralized transform/layout, leaving the opacity/blur fade. - Fleet tab band: flatten the list's own pill band so the tabs sit in a single full-width band instead of a nested second band. - Fleet Overview: label the node-update button "Node Update"; the add-node button becomes a ChartNetwork icon that opens Settings > Nodes (outline style, matching the node-update button) instead of the add-node modal. - Blueprint deployments empty state: drive the serif headings from the theme heading-style token so Calm drops the italic. - Snapshots: move the per-stack Restore onto the stack header row (right side), matching the ghost action style. * feat: standardize the tab band on Security and add a tab hover state - Apply the Fleet full-width tab band to the Security page (single band, the list's pill background flattened so the tabs sit directly in it). - Add a hover highlight to tabs so the band reads as interactive, not flat; the active tab is unaffected. * fix: drive reduced-motion transitions from the app setting, not the OS query useReducedTransition called framer-motion's useReducedMotion(), which only reflects the OS prefers-reduced-motion media query and ignores our MotionConfig / appearance toggle, so dialogs kept animating with the setting on. Read the app's useReducedMotion selector instead. Verified: with the setting on, the dialog opacity snaps 0->1 in one frame; with it off, it ramps over the spring. * feat: standardize stack-detail body text to text-xs and add a log expand toggle - Bump the anatomy panel body text (rows, field values, warnings) and the structured log lines from 10/11/12px to text-xs (12px), leaving the uppercase kicker labels and the log level/source badges as-is. - Add an expand control next to the log download button that collapses the Command Center so the logs pane fills the left column; toggles back to restore. |

feat: add Reduced motion setting and polish chrome, files, and stack-detail (#1501)
A batch of UI/UX polish: - New independent "Reduced motion" appearance setting (separate from Reduced effects). Drives framer-motion via MotionConfig and clamps CSS transitions via data-motion on <html>; toasts are unaffected. Defaults off (OS preference still honored). - Stack-detail Files tab: rename "Files & Volumes" to "Files", add a persisted word-wrap toggle to the file viewer (default on), and add a fullscreen toggle that collapses the Command Center + Logs column so the editor fills the width. - Create Stack > From Git: remove the nested scroll clamp so the deploy toggle and footer are reachable. - Fleet: full-width tab band with icon-only Refresh / Export Dossier, icon-only Check-for-updates / Add-node on the Overview toolbar, theme-aware empty-state headings (calm drops the italic), and fix the Actions card body overlapping the action-row divider. - Snapshots: restyle Restore and Restore all to the ghost button design used by View / Preview / Download, and right-align the per-stack Restore. - Settings sidebar: App Store gradient active style and standard font size. - Compose Doctor: dismiss the high-risk banner (and clear the tab dot) until the findings change, via a shared fingerprint-keyed hook. - Stack-detail Storage: link the "no recent fleet snapshot" warning to the Fleet Snapshots tab (FleetView tabs are now controlled to support the deep link). |

fix: clear stale node-update changelog notes when a refetch fails (#1494)
When the advertised version changed and the follow-up release-notes request failed (non-OK response, network rejection, or unparseable JSON), the previously loaded notes, version label, and link were never cleared, so the changelog kept showing the prior version's notes as if they described the new advertised update and did not retry. The settled-version latch then suppressed an automatic refetch. The changelog now drops the loaded notes, version, and link the moment it commits to fetching for a different advertised version, so any non-matching, null, or failed result falls through to the empty state with the online changelog link. The skeleton covers the in-flight gap, and the settled-version latch is preserved so a failure does not loop. |

fix: render node-update changelog only for the advertised release version (#1493)
The changelog recorded every settled release-notes fetch as loaded for the advertised version and rendered whatever notes came back, without checking that the returned version matched. Because the version lookup and the release-notes lookup use independent caches (and the version can fall back to Docker Hub while notes are GitHub-only), a drifted response could show one version's notes under a different advertised update. The changelog now binds strictly: notes render only when the endpoint confirms they belong to the advertised latest version; a mismatch falls through to the empty state with the online changelog link. The settled-version latch is kept so a mismatch does not loop the fetch. |

fix: bind the node-update changelog to the advertised release version (#1492)
The changelog tab fetched release notes once and held them in component state without tying them to a version, and the endpoint did not report which release the notes belonged to. When a newer release surfaced while the sheet stayed mounted, reopening the changelog could show the previous version's notes, and a GitHub/Docker Hub fallback or independent cache timing could leave the notes out of sync with the advertised latest version. The release-notes endpoint now returns the release version (normalized tag_name). The changelog keys its loaded notes to the advertised latest version, refetching when that version changes, and labels the notes with the version they belong to so the displayed content is always explicit. |

fix: render node-update changelog notes as formatted markdown (#1474)
The Changelog tab in the Node Updates sheet rendered GitHub release notes as raw markdown inside a preformatted block, so headings, bullet lists, and issue/commit links showed as literal markup and were hard to read. Render the notes with a small react-markdown wrapper styled to the design tokens (raw HTML is intentionally not rendered, keeping it safe). Also: - Replace the bare loading spinner with a content-shaped skeleton. - Add a graceful empty state when no notes are available, with a link to the online changelog. - Add a "View on Sencho" link next to "View on GitHub". - Stop the release-notes fetch from re-firing on every failure by tracking whether a fetch has settled, so a null result lands on the empty state instead of looping; Recheck resets it to force a fresh fetch. |

feat: add node update alerts with changelog tab and skip-version handling (#1463)
* feat: add node update alerts with changelog tab and skip-version handling - Add node_update_available notification category with blue/brand bell dot - Route node_update_available notifications to Fleet -> Node updates sheet - Add Changelog tab to NodeUpdatesSheet with GitHub release notes - Add per-node skip-version persistence (node_update_skips table) - Skip hides update CTA on node card and sheet; re-surfaces on newer version - Skipped nodes excluded from Update all backend filter - Add pulsating dot indicator on Changelog tab when updates available - Always-visible View changelog action in notification row bottom - Admin-only for all mutating controls (skip, unskip, update) - Backend tests for skip-version semantics (15 tests) - Update fleet-view.mdx, remote-updates.mdx, and OpenAPI spec * fix: address audit findings - nested button, stale changelog, semver normalization, mobile intent - Move View changelog button outside routable button (sibling element) - Fix aria-label for node_update_available notification rows - Support ?recheck=true on release-notes endpoint - Invalidate release notes cache on forced recheck - Store normalized semver (semver.valid strips v prefix) - Skip fleetUpdatesIntent on mobile (desktop only) - Add v-prefix normalization test * fix: restore View changelog on same line as timestamp, opposite sides The button is always visible at the bottom right of the notification card, on the same row as the timestamp (just now), using justify-between layout. * fix: update tests for node_update_available category and release-notes fetch - Backend: monitor-service tests now expect node_update_available instead of system - Frontend: NodeUpdatesSheet tests mock release-notes API call to prevent undefined then() * fix: resolve ci lint failures |

feat(fleet): refine the Fleet Overview toolbar (#1376)
* feat(fleet): tidy the Overview toolbar and shorten tab labels - Move the Add node button into the Overview toolbar beside the Grid/Topology toggle so it sits with the view it acts on instead of showing on every Fleet tab. It stays admin-only. - Collapse the node search to an icon button that expands to the full input on click and collapses again on blur once the query is empty, reclaiming toolbar width. An active query keeps it open. - Match the sort-direction toggle and the sort dropdown to the outlined dark fill of the Filters button for a consistent toolbar row. - Swap the Check Updates icon to the refresh-with-dot glyph. - Rename two tabs: Fleet Actions to Actions, Dependencies to Map (display labels only; internal keys unchanged). Update the feature docs to the new tab labels. * feat(fleet): move Check Updates into the Overview tab toolbar Check Updates is an Overview-specific action, but it lived in the shared Fleet header toolbar that renders across every tab. Move it into the Overview tab's own toolbar, to the right of the Add node button, so it only appears where it applies. The relocated button now spins and disables while a check is in flight, matching the Refresh button's loading feedback. The shared header keeps Refresh and Export Dossier. |

feat: Compose Network Inspector and exposure intent guard (#1360)
* feat: add Compose Network Inspector facts engine Render a stack's authored effective model and pair it with the live Docker snapshot to derive per-stack networking facts: project networks with external and internal flags, service-to-network membership and aliases, published ports with host-binding scope, network_mode, and extra_hosts, plus runtime drift (runtime-only attachments, foreign networks, and declared-but-unused or missing networks). Extend the effective-model parser with service network membership, extra_hosts, and label keys (key names only, never values), and add a key-space normalized network model with adapters from both the rendered model and the raw declared compose so the Inspector and drift share one comparison. Expose GET /api/stacks/:stackName/networking: advisory and read-only, it renders the authored model only and never returns or logs raw stderr, env values, or label values. * feat: store and edit per-stack and per-service exposure intent Add a stack_exposure_intent table (intent values constrained by a CHECK, unique per node, stack, and service) with DAO methods to read, upsert, clear one row, and clear all rows for a stack. The classification is stored independently of the generated networking facts so a later mismatch stays detectable; service rows are kept separately from the stack-level row (service ''). Expose GET and PUT /api/stacks/:stackName/exposure: GET requires read access, PUT requires edit access and validates the intent against the allowed set. Sending intent null clears that row, returning the scope to unset so a service inherits the stack intent again. Intent rows are cleared when the stack is deleted and when the owning node is removed, so a later same-named stack never picks up stale classification. * feat: add exposure-aware Compose Doctor findings Feed the Compose Doctor's effective-model context with the stored exposure intent (resolved into a stack-level value plus per-service overrides) and the dossier's documented access-URL ports, read fail-soft so a metadata read error skips these checks rather than failing the preflight. Add five deterministic findings on top of that context: - a service classified internal or same-node that publishes a host port (same-node tolerates a loopback bind), - a sensitive database or admin image published on all interfaces, - a port-publishing stack with no exposure intent set, - a published port not reflected in the documented access URLs, - reverse-proxy labels with no documented URL or reverse-proxy intent. The rules stay pure functions over the preflight context; the registry completeness test pins the new rule set. * feat: detect compose network drift in the drift ledger Extend the spatial drift engine with two network-level findings: a running container attached to a stack-owned or foreign network that compose does not declare (one finding per service), and a declared network that no running service uses or that is absent from the runtime (one stack-level finding, every network named by its resolved runtime name). The comparison reuses the same helper the Network Inspector uses, so the two surfaces never disagree. Network drift runs only when the stack has running containers and the runtime is reachable, preserving the existing missing-runtime, parse-error, and unreachable behavior. The findings persist through the existing drift ledger and surface on the Drift tab, which now labels the two new kinds. * feat: link a Docker network back to its owning stack Add a cross-component open-stack event and make the owning-stack badge on a managed network in Resources a link: clicking it loads that stack on its node and opens the editor, reusing the existing fleet navigation. A latest-ref keeps the window listener current without re-subscribing each render. Image and volume badges are unchanged; only a managed network opts in via the new optional handler. * feat: add the Networking tab to the stack detail panel Add a capability-gated Networking tab that reads the per-stack networking facts and exposure intent. It shows the project networks (with external, internal, and created-by-stack flags), per-service network membership and aliases, published ports with their host-binding scope, network_mode and extra_hosts, and runtime drift, degrading to the declared model when the runtime is unavailable. Users can classify the stack and each service (internal, LAN, reverse proxy, public, and so on) or clear a row to inherit; the controls are read-only when the user cannot edit, and a broken exposure response never tears down the facts view. A new compose-networking capability is added to both registries so older nodes hide the tab, and the tab cross-links to the Doctor for the deploy and security findings. * docs: document the Compose Networking tab Add a feature page covering the Networking tab: the network facts, published ports and host bindings, the exposure-intent classification and inheritance, the exposure-aware Doctor findings, runtime drift, and a troubleshooting section. Register it in the docs navigation next to Compose Doctor. * feat: add a redacted network summary to the Stack Dossier export Append a network exposure section to the dossier Markdown: the stack and per-service exposure intents, the networks with their external and internal flags, and each service's published ports with their binding scope. It carries only names, intents, port numbers, and scope, never an env value or a label value. The summary is fetched only when the user exports (copy or download), so opening the panel costs nothing, and it degrades to omitting the section when the data is unavailable. The whole-fleet dossier export collects the same summary per stack, rethrowing the unauthorized sentinel like the sibling loaders. * feat: add a Fleet networking filter for exposure and drift Add a per-node networking summary that classifies a node's stacks as exposed (a host port published beyond loopback), unknown-exposure (publishes ports with no exposure intent set), or network-drift. It reads each stack's compose with the light dependency parser and one Docker snapshot, so it stays cheap across a node's full stack set, and it skips drift when the runtime is unreachable rather than inventing it. Serve it node-locally at GET /api/networking/summary, and aggregate it fleet-wide at GET /api/fleet/networking-summary: the hub computes its own summary in-process and reaches each remote through its node-local route, degrading an unreachable or older node to a skip. Because the aggregate lives under the proxy-exempt /api/fleet prefix it is never wrongly proxied. The Fleet overview gains a networking filter chip backed by that aggregate, fetched fail-soft and detached so it never gates the grid. * fix: spin the Networking refresh button while it reloads The refresh button silently refetched the same data, so a click gave no feedback. Track a refreshing state and spin the icon while the load is in flight, disabling the button, matching the Compose Doctor preflight button. * fix: apply effective per-service exposure intent to unclassified checks The "unclassified exposure" decisions only consulted the stack-level intent row, so a service classified directly (with no stack row) was still reported as unclassified, and a service explicitly marked unknown over a classified stack was missed. Both the exposure-unclassified preflight rule and the networking summary's unknown-exposure bucket now resolve the effective intent per publishing service (service row overrides stack row), matching the precedence already used by the exposure-internal-published rule. * fix: resolve drift network names via the compose top-level name When a compose file sets a top-level name:, Docker prefixes resource names with that project name instead of the stack directory. The light dependency parser dropped name:, so network-drift normalization compared runtime networks against directory-prefixed names and reported false network-undeclared / network-missing findings. Carry the parsed project name through DeclaredCompose and use it when normalizing declared networks for drift, while still filtering containers by the stack directory. |

feat(fleet): tidy the Overview toolbar and shorten tab labels (#1361)
- Move the Add node button into the Overview toolbar beside the Grid/Topology toggle so it sits with the view it acts on instead of showing on every Fleet tab. Update the feature docs to the new tab labels. |

feat: move trivy auto-update, node labels, fleet topology, and single-scan SBOM to Community (#1336)
Rebalance several capabilities from the paid tier to the free Community tier: - Managed Trivy auto-update toggle is admin-only, no longer tier-gated. - Node labels (assign, view, manage) are available on every tier; cordon and FleetSync anchor reset stay paid. - Fleet topology layout modes (Hub, Grouped, Free) are available on Community. - Single-scan SBOM export (SPDX and CycloneDX) is admin-only on Community; SARIF export stays paid via a dedicated canExportSarif capability split out from the former shared SBOM flag. Backend route guards and frontend affordances are updated together, with tier and admin-role tests covering the Community-allowed and still-paid paths. |

feat(fleet): export a whole-fleet Markdown dossier (#1334)
* feat(fleet): export a whole-fleet Markdown dossier Add an admin-only "Export Dossier" action to the Fleet view that walks every node and stack, pairs each stack's generated Compose anatomy with its operator notes, and downloads a folder-structured homelab-dossier.zip (index, per-node and per-stack pages, plus fleet-wide port, volume, network, env, access-URL, and VLAN/firewall maps). Reuses the existing stack dossier and anatomy Markdown generators by extracting the shared Compose parsers into a frontend lib module. Unreachable nodes are recorded with a reason and never block the export; only env variable names and counts are ever emitted, never values. * fix(fleet): unique stack slugs and reproducible dossier archive Disambiguate stack names on one node that slugify to the same value (e.g. `Web` and `web` on a case-sensitive host) with a per-node slug map shared by the node-page links and the file emission, so neither overwrites the other. Pin a fixed entry timestamp on the zip so the archive bytes are a pure function of the file map rather than the wall clock. |

feat(pricing): collapse to two tiers (#1309)
* feat(pricing): collapse to two tiers (Community + Admiral) Collapse Sencho's pricing from three tiers (Community / Skipper / Admiral) to two: a generous free Community tier and a single paid Admiral tier. The Skipper tier is removed. Now free in Community: auto-heal, auto-update, scheduled operations, webhooks, notification routing, Fleet Actions and bulk operations, SSO preset providers (Google / GitHub / Okta), unlimited users with admin and viewer roles, and deploy safety (atomic deploys, auto-rollback, and one-click rollback). Admiral (paid) is focused on running and governing a fleet: blueprints, Fleet Secrets, deploy enforcement, vulnerability report export, audit log, host console, private registries, mesh networking, node cordon, managed cloud backup, LDAP / Active Directory SSO, and the advanced RBAC roles (deployer, node-admin, auditor) with per-resource scoped assignments. Internally the license variant distinction is removed so tier is binary (community / paid). License validation still verifies the Lemon Squeezy store and product before granting paid status. Docs and the contributor guide are updated to the two-tier model. * docs(pricing): correct licensing page to two-tier pricing and tidy stale tier wording The licensing docs page kept the old Admiral pricing plus a Founder Lifetime column and an Enterprise paragraph after the two-tier collapse. Update it to $12/month or $99/year, drop the lifetime and Enterprise content, and link to the pricing page for current pricing. Also fix stale "Skipper" wording in CLA.md, SUPPORT.md, one test title, and three test comments. Historical CHANGELOG entries and the retired-Skipper license-guard test are intentionally left as-is. * docs: align licensing and SSO pages with the two-tier model Correct the SSO overview so the Google, GitHub, and Okta presets read as available on every tier, matching the provider table; only LDAP and Active Directory require Sencho Admiral. Remove the lifetime-plan references from the licensing, settings, and troubleshooting pages so they reflect subscription-only Admiral pricing. * fix(rbac): omit scoped permissions from /me on the Community tier Scoped role assignments only take effect on the paid tier, but GET /api/permissions/me returned them unconditionally, so a downgraded instance with leftover assignments rendered per-resource affordances the API then rejected with 403. The endpoint now mirrors the permission middleware and includes scoped permissions only on the paid tier. Adds a regression test covering the downgrade case. * docs: use custom-pricing wording on the contact page The two-tier model has no Enterprise tier; reword the contact page's enterprise pricing/deals to custom pricing/deals so it does not imply a tier that no longer exists. |

fix(federation): gate node cordon control on node:manage to match backend (#1277)
* fix(federation): gate node cordon control on node:manage to match backend
The cordon and uncordon control on the node card rendered whenever the
instance held an Admiral license, but the backend route also requires the
node:manage permission. Non-admin users without that permission (deployer,
viewer, auditor) saw a Cordon action the API rejected with 403. Gate the
control on the same permission the route enforces, so it renders only for
users who can use it.
Add developer-mode diagnostic logging to the cordon and pin handlers, and
route-level tests covering the cordon and uncordon permission, tier,
API-token, and input-validation boundaries.
* fix(federation): reject non-numeric node ids in cordon/uncordon
The cordon and uncordon routes validated the node id with parseInt, which
accepts numeric-prefix strings (parseInt('1abc', 10) === 1), so a request to
/api/nodes/1abc/cordon would operate on node 1. Require a strict positive
integer before parsing, and add tests for both routes.
* fix(federation): sanitize user-derived values in cordon and pin diagnostics
Route the node id, blueprint id, target node id, and reason length through
the shared log sanitizer before they reach the developer-mode diagnostic
log lines, and switch the format specifiers to %s to match. The values are
already validated integers, so this is defense in depth at the log sink and
keeps the diagnostics on the same sanitize-every-interpolated-value pattern
used elsewhere. No runtime behavior change: the lines stay gated behind the
developer_mode setting, off by default.

fix(fleet): gate node update actions to admins and harden update tracking (#1272)
* fix(fleet): gate node update actions to admins and harden update tracking Node update affordances now render only for admins, matching the admin-only routes behind them. Previously a non-admin could open the Fleet view and see the per-node Update button, Update all, retry, dismiss, and Recheck controls, then get a 403 on click. Those controls are now hidden for non-admins, who still see read-only update status. Both update-status clear routes (per-node and bulk) now require admin, and the bulk recheck throttles its forced "latest published version" lookup so a caller cannot loop it to hammer the upstream registries; the response reports whether the refresh actually ran so the UI can surface a "checked recently" note. Completion detection no longer reports a node as Updated when it merely blips offline and returns on the same version with an unchanged process start time. That case stays in progress and is decided by the existing early-fail and timeout heuristics, so a momentary network glitch is not mistaken for a successful update. Failed and timed-out updates now emit an operator-visible warning, and a periodic safety-net sweep bounds in-flight trackers when no client is polling for status. * fix(fleet): harden update completion and recheck failure handling Refinements from review of the node self-update hardening: - Completion signal 1 now requires a valid version, not merely a different one. A node whose /api/meta momentarily omits or mangles its version (online, same process) reported version=null, which compared unequal to the previous version and falsely marked the update completed. It now stays in progress and is decided by the early-fail/timeout heuristics. - Terminal resolution is atomic: it re-reads the live tracker and transitions only if it is still in flight with the same start time, so two concurrent status polls cannot both warn or clobber each other's transition. - The operator warning for a failed or timed-out update now redacts secret-shaped text (bearer/basic/token/password, credentialed URLs) from the underlying error before logging, in addition to stripping control characters. - The Recheck button now surfaces an error toast when the request throws (network or auth failure), matching the existing non-ok-response path instead of only logging to the console. |

feat(fleet): show stack-label filtering in Fleet View on every tier (#1268)
* feat(fleet): show stack-label filtering in Fleet View on every tier Stack labels and their assignments are a Community feature: the per-node label reads are available to any authenticated user and are already used in the per-node Stacks view. Fleet View, however, only fetched the fleet-wide label palette and per-stack chips when the instance was on a paid tier, so a Community user who had labelled their stacks saw no label dots on node cards and no Tags filter in the Overview toolbar. Drop the paid gate on the fleet label fetch so the palette, the per-stack chips, and the Tags filter render for everyone who has labels. Node-level tag aggregation (used for topology grouping) stays paid and is unchanged. * fix(fleet): surface update-status failures and soften the reconnect timeout Three reliability fixes in the Fleet View update path: - The fleet update-status poll swallowed fetch errors in an empty catch, so a failing poll left a silently stale table with no breadcrumb. It now logs the failure (both thrown errors and non-ok HTTP responses) without toasting on every tick, and keeps the last-known statuses. - The local-update reconnecting overlay declared "Update timed out" after five minutes, which falsely reported failure when a large image pull simply ran longer than the reconnect window. It now shows a non-failure "Taking longer than expected" state with a "Reload to check" action, and the timeout is a named constant that mirrors the backend update timeout. - The fleet overview fan-out already logged a node that failed to report; the update-status and update-all fan-outs now log the rejected node and reason too instead of discarding it. * test(fleet): backfill Fleet View hook, component, and update-tracker coverage Adds unit and component coverage for the previously untested Fleet View surface: all six Overview hooks (overview, update-status, polling cadence, preferences, fleet labels, node labels), the NodeCard, OverviewTab, OverviewToolbar, NodeUpdatesSheet, UpdateStatusBadge, and ReconnectingOverlay components, and the FleetUpdateTrackerService state transitions. * test(fleet): assert update-status poll preserves last-known statuses on failure Adds an explicit case that seeds statuses from a successful poll, then fails the next poll, and verifies the table keeps the seeded statuses (and logs without toasting) rather than relying on the implementation implicitly. |

feat(fleet): move bulk Remote OTA updates to Community tier (#1151)
Drops `requirePaid` from `POST /api/fleet/update-all` so Community admins can dispatch bulk node updates. Per-node OTA was already Community- reachable (admin-only); this completes the move so the full Remote OTA surface ships at Community. Frontend mirrors the backend: removes `canBulkUpdate` from NodeUpdatesSheet so the "Update all (N)" affordance is purely data- driven on `updatableRemoteCount > 0`. Docs realigned to drop fence-spec and Skipper-only phrasing on the Update all bulk action: - features/licensing.mdx: Community line now lists Remote OTA (per-node and Update all); Skipper Fleet Actions parenthetical drops "bulk update all" - features/remote-updates.mdx: Note rewritten to role-only requirement - features/fleet-view.mdx: Update all (n) bullet drops the tier clause - features/overview.mdx: Fleet View and Remote updates blurbs drop the Skipper/Admiral fences - operations/upgrade.mdx: Note rephrased without naming tiers Test coverage: - fleet.test.ts: tier-gating spec flipped to assert Community access - fleet-pilot-update.test.ts: bulk-OTA dispatch suite now spies tier to Community so it doubles as a regression guard |

feat(fleet): add node management actions to Fleet Overview (#1064)
* refactor(nodes): extract node create/edit/delete modals into useNodeActions hook Pulls the inline Add/Edit/Delete/Pilot-enrollment modal stack out of NodeManager.tsx and into a reusable useNodeActions() hook in components/nodes/. Settings continues to consume the same modals via this hook, with an onTestResult callback used by Settings to render the existing connection-detail panel after a successful test. The hook also extends the auto-test-on-save behavior so that saving a proxy-mode remote node from the Edit dialog re-runs the connection test when the API URL or token has actually changed (skipped when only name or compose dir was edited). * feat(fleet): surface Add/Edit/Delete node actions on Fleet Overview Adds an admin-only Add node button to the right of Refresh on the Fleet header, opening the same Add Node dialog used by Settings. Each node card's three-dot menu now exposes Edit node and Delete node items (routed through the shared useNodeActions hook) alongside the existing Cordon item, so operators can manage node lifecycle without leaving the Fleet page. The card kebab is shown to admins regardless of tier; Cordon stays Admiral-only. Delete is hidden on the local default node. After any Add/Edit/Delete the Fleet overview refetches so the grid reflects the change immediately. * docs(fleet): document Add/Edit/Delete node actions on Fleet Overview Updates the Action buttons table to cover the new Add node entry point on the Fleet header, and adds a new Node actions menu section describing the per-card Edit/Delete/Cordon items, their tier and permission gating, and the auto connection test that fires after saving a proxy-mode remote. |

feat(fleet): multi-mode topology with label grouping and persisted positions (#1054)
The Topology view now offers three layouts so the canvas adapts to how the fleet is organised, not the other way around: - Hub: the gateway anchored on the left with remotes radiating right - Grouped (Skipper+): remotes cluster by their primary node label, with the local node in its own cluster and unlabeled remotes in an Unlabeled cluster - Free (Skipper+): drag any node; positions persist per browser via local storage Node cards gain label pills (Skipper+), a cordon banner with reason tooltip, a latency chip for online remotes, and a stale pilot-heartbeat glyph. All fields are sourced from /api/fleet/overview, which already returns cordon, latency, and pilot timestamps; no backend changes required. Community continues to see the single Hub layout (without the toolbar, no gating cues), matching the visibility principle that paid affordances are hidden from lower tiers rather than displayed as locked teasers. The backend /api/node-labels route is already requirePaid, so the data gate is honoured end to end. Includes unit tests for the layout module (hub/grouped/free coverage) and the preferences hook (round-trip plus corrupt-JSON fallback). |

feat(fleet): add Federation tab with cordon and pin policy (Admiral) (#964)
Ships the v1 MVP for the Federation tab as placement control, not
placement automation:
- Cordon a node: marks the node unschedulable so the BlueprintReconciler
skips it for new placements only. Existing deployments continue to
drift-check and redeploy on revision changes; cordon never triggers
withdraw or eviction. Toggle on the NodeCard kebab (Admiral, admin
role); Cordoned pill renders for all tiers.
- Pin a blueprint to a node: stores blueprints.pinned_node_id, replacing
the desired set with the pinned node regardless of selector. Pin
overrides cordon by design. Action lives only in the Federation tab;
BlueprintDetail and the deployment table show read-only Pinned
indicators.
Backend: idempotent migrations add nodes.cordoned/cordoned_at/cordoned_reason
and blueprints.pinned_node_id. New routes POST /api/nodes/:id/cordon,
POST /api/nodes/:id/uncordon, PUT /api/blueprints/:id/pin, all gated by
requireAdmiral plus requireAdmin. Audit summaries added so the existing
auditLog middleware records every operator action. deleteNode clears
dangling pins.
Reconciler: pin override evaluated before selector match; cordon filter
applied only to the new-placement branch (deploy/stateReview without an
existing deployment). 11 new Vitest cases cover cordon filter, pin
override, pin-overrides-cordon, missing pin target, pin shrinks
desired set (stateless withdraw + stateful evict_blocked), and pin
clearing on node delete.
Frontend: new FederationTab.tsx with cordoned-nodes summary and
pin-policy table. Federation moved out of the experimental flag into
{isAdmiral && (...)} + AdmiralGate, mirroring the Routing tab pattern.
Secrets stays under experimental.
Tests pass: backend tsc, full Vitest suite (1704 passed), frontend
tsc -b, ESLint (0 errors). Manual verification via the local dev
instance confirmed the tab is hidden at Community, the kebab and pill
render at Admiral, and cordon and pin endpoints round-trip end to end.

feat(frontend): SystemSheet §9.11 — security and scheduled sheets (PR 2/3) (#961)
* feat(frontend): add SystemSheet primitive and migrate mesh sheets to §9.11 chrome
DESIGN.md §9.11 codifies one canonical right-side detail-sheet shell (cyan
rail, mono crumb, italic serif name, mono meta, ESC chip + close glyph,
fixed three-slot toolbar, cyan-underline tabs, ScrollArea body, footer
freshness band). Today the 16 sheet consumers each render their own
header chrome with stock shadcn SheetHeader/SheetTitle.
Introduce <SystemSheet> + <SheetSection> in
frontend/src/components/ui/system-sheet.tsx, composing the existing
<Sheet>/<SheetContent> primitive. Add a backward-compatible showClose
prop to SheetContent so SystemSheet can render its own ESC chip + close
glyph instead of the stock cyan square close.
Migrate the four mesh sheets as the first batch:
* MeshActivitySheet: crumb Fleet › Mesh › Activity, footer freshness from
most-recent event timestamp.
* MeshOptInSheet: crumb Fleet › Mesh › {nodeName}, meta of opted-in
count, drops the redundant bottom Close button (ESC chip dismisses).
* MeshDiagnosticsSheet: removes the icon-prefixed title (forbidden by
§9.11), lifts Refresh/Restart buttons from the body into the toolbar
band, three SheetSection blocks for sidecar status, streams, cache.
* MeshRouteDetailSheet: adds Overview/Events/Raw tabs, lifts Test probe
into the toolbar primary slot, footer surfaces last probe latency.
* feat(frontend): migrate security and scheduled sheets to §9.11 chrome
PR 2 of the System Sheet (§9.11) rollout, stacked on the SystemSheet
primitive PR. Migrates six more sheet consumers and merges the Stack
alert + auto-heal sheets into a single tabbed sheet per audit §17.
Sheets migrated:
* NodeUpdatesSheet: crumb Fleet > Updates, Recheck primary, Update-all
secondary when applicable. Stat tiles and node rows lose their
card-in-sheet wrapping (forbidden by §9.11) for flat dividers.
* StackAlertSheet (now the merged stack monitor): tabs Alerts /
Auto-heal, crumb Stack > {name} > Monitor. New initialTab prop lets
callers open directly to either tab. Auto-heal tab is hidden entirely
for Community-tier users (matches the existing tier-gating on the
context menu trigger and keyboard shortcut).
* StackAutoHealSheet.tsx: deleted. Its body became the Auto-heal tab
inside the merged sheet.
* VulnerabilityScanSheet: removed the icon-prefixed title (forbidden by
§9.11). Re-scan, Compare, CSV, SARIF lifted from body cards into the
toolbar band. Tabs Vulnerabilities | Secrets | Misconfigs (counts on
the tab labels). SBOM dropdown stays in the body summary section
pending a primitive enhancement for dropdown-attached toolbar actions.
* ScanComparisonSheet: crumb Security > Scans > Compare, name Diff,
meta with the +added/-removed delta.
* SecurityHistoryView: the inner sheet only. Crumb Security > Scan
history. Compare (paid + 2 selected) and Refresh in toolbar.
* ScheduledOperationsView run-history sheet (lines ~847-935 only):
crumb Schedules > {taskName} > Runs, Download CSV in toolbar, footer
surfaces next-run timestamp.
Hook refactor:
* useOverlayState replaces three separate state vars (alertSheetOpen,
alertSheetStack, autoHealStackName) with one stackMonitor object
carrying { stackName, tab }. New helpers openAlertSheet(stackName),
openAutoHeal(stackName), closeStackMonitor(). Tests rewritten and
pass (11/11).
* useSidebarContextMenu and ShellOverlays updated for the new API. The
three other call sites (useStackMenuItems, useStackKeyboardShortcuts)
already use openAlertSheet/openAutoHeal and need no change.

* refactor(frontend): migrate Stack/Fleet confirms and Git source dialog
- LocalUpdateConfirmDialog -> ConfirmModal with kicker LOCAL · UPDATE
- GitSourcePanel form -> Modal with kicker {STACK} · GIT SOURCE; the
custom three-button footer (Remove / Pull now / Save) stays as-is

destructive action; ModalHeader provides the canonical chrome
- GitSourcePanel remove confirm -> destructive ConfirmModal with
kicker {STACK} · GIT · DISCONNECT
* test(e2e): scope git-source dialog assertion to the heading
The migration adds a kicker rune "<STACK> · GIT SOURCE" inside the
dialog. The previous locator getByText('Git Source', { exact: false })
matched both the kicker (uppercase, mono) and the italic-serif title,
producing a strict-mode violation. Use getByRole('heading') to target
the title specifically.

feat: open security basics, manual fleet ops, and basic fleet management to Community (#930)
Realign tier guards to the user-stated philosophy: Community covers
deploy/monitor at scale plus security basics, Skipper adds automation
and advanced fleet management, Admiral keeps enterprise control.
Community now includes:
- Trivy install / uninstall / update from the Settings Hub (admin role)
- CVE suppressions CRUD (admin role; replicates fleet-wide)
- Manual image scan with vuln, secret, and misconfig results
- Stack-config scan, scan comparison
- Manual fleet snapshots: create, list, view, restore, delete
- Per-node Sencho self-update (Check Updates + per-node Update)
- Fleet Overview search, sort, filters, node-card expand, auto-refresh
Stays paid:
- Scan policies with block_on_deploy enforcement (Skipper+)
- SBOM (SPDX, CycloneDX), SARIF export (Skipper+)
- Bulk Update All across the fleet (Skipper+)
- Scheduled snapshot create (now Skipper, was Admiral)
- Trivy auto-update toggle, fleet-wide policy push (Admiral)
The Settings -> Security tab is unhidden by setting the registry tier to
null. The SecuritySection no longer early-returns a PaidGate; the policy
list, Add Policy button, and policy dialogs are wrapped in {isPaid && }.
The Fleet view drops isPaid gates on the Snapshots tab, Check Updates
button, per-node update handlers, OverviewToolbar grid controls, the
NodeCard expand affordance, and the auto-refresh notice. The
NodeUpdatesSheet receives a canBulkUpdate prop and gates the Update All
button on it. useFleetUpdateStatus and useFleetPolling drop their isPaid
guards so polling runs for Community; useFleetOverview drops the isPaid
wrap on the filter and sort path.
Backend route guards are flipped per the matrix above. The scheduler
tick and requireScheduledTaskTier add 'snapshot' to the Skipper+ branch.
Backend test assertions are inverted for the now-Community endpoints
and a positive Skipper-snapshot-task test is added.
Documentation across features/, api-reference/, and operations/ is
updated to reflect the new tier mapping.

refactor(frontend): extract useFleetUpdateStatus + useFleetPolling from FleetView (F5-7) (#921)
Move the update workflow state machine and the polling driver out of the FleetView shell into two dedicated hooks under FleetView/hooks/. No behavior change. useFleetUpdateStatus owns updateStatuses + updatingNodeId + the four modal/dialog/reconnecting state slots, the synchronously-held updateStatusesRef, and every callback that touches the update workflow (fetchUpdateStatus, triggerNodeUpdate, confirmLocalUpdate, triggerUpdateAll, dismissNodeUpdate, retryNodeUpdate). The inline four- line "Check Updates" handler collapses into a single checkUpdates() callback returned from the hook. useFleetPolling is a pure side-effect hook that owns the initial-mount fetch, the paid-tier 30s overview + 120s update-status interval pair, and the 5s fast-poll accelerator gated on hasUpdatingRef. The polling hook does not know about update semantics; the consumer passes in updateStatuses and the fetch callbacks. Shell drops from 523 to 385 LOC. useState calls drop from 13 to 6, useEffect from 4 to 0, useCallback from 8 to 2, useRef from 2 to 0. Tested manually in browser: fleet view loads, masthead populates, Check Updates opens the sheet and fetches statuses, Refresh fires fetch-overview, no console errors from the refactor (existing unreachable-remote-node WebSocket failures are unrelated). Dev servers killed after validation. |

refactor(frontend): extract useFleetPreferences + useFleetLabels from FleetView (F5-6) (#920)
* refactor(frontend): extract useFleetPreferences + useFleetLabels from FleetView (F5-6) Move localStorage preferences and label palette/assignment fetching out of the FleetView shell into dedicated hooks under FleetView/hooks/: - useFleetPreferences: wraps PREFS_KEY, loadPreferences, savePreferences, and the prefs useState + updatePrefs callback. Defaults are merged on load so stale stored values cannot produce missing keys. Save is a side-effect-free useEffect rather than a setState updater call, consistent with React purity contract. - useFleetLabels: wraps fleetPalette, fleetStackLabelMap, labelFilters state, fetchLabelsForNodes callback, and the onlineNodeKey-gated fetch effect. The onlineNodeKey derivation is memoized. labelPaletteKey is exported for the shell processedNodes useMemo until F5-8 absorbs it. Shell useState: 17 to 13. useEffect: 5 to 4. useCallback: 10 to 8. * fix(frontend): add comments to empty catch blocks in useFleetPreferences Empty catch blocks trigger the no-empty lint rule. Add explanatory comments to both catch sites to satisfy the rule while keeping the intent clear. |

refactor(frontend): extract ReconnectingOverlay from FleetView (F5-1) (#913)
Move the inline ReconnectingOverlay sub-component out of FleetView.tsx into its own file under FleetView/. Pure file relocation; logic and rendered output are unchanged. FleetView.tsx: 1,630 -> 1,556 LOC. First step in the FleetView decomposition tracker. |
