The two race controls retained private manual temporary files because the command double exited before the production failure handler. Exact confined traces show that exit boundary. Capture and return the real external ln exit explicitly, preserving production cleanup and every file/directory race assertion. No product code, safety assertion, method count or deadline changes.

Contract-Neutral: Faithful closed-model external exit observation only; no runtime or contract delta.
