Fail closed before editing unsafe credential paths, ignore curl configuration and retain diagnostic responses privately. Bound requests, reject redirects and publish the local installer path only after a complete HTTPS 200 download without overwriting existing files. Exercise the copied recipes against synthetic TLS peers and file failures.

Contract-Neutral: Harden existing PBS documentation recipes and their shipped mirror; no runtime, API, permission, installation contract or dependency change.
