Keep both bootstrap requests within curl's connection and whole-request deadlines, without ambient retry settings. Arm cleanup before allocation so a second mktemp failure cannot strand the first input. Exercise the emitted helper's signed success, partial download failures, allocation failures and signature rejection without native or production execution.
