Oliver Kieselbach ea81b1eca0 fix(backend): normalize V2 ingest event data to prevent DeviceSnapshot corruption
The V2 telemetry ingest path (TelemetryPayloadParser) skipped the
Newtonsoft-JToken -> native normalization the V1 NDJSON path applied. Nested
values (e.g. hardware_spec.disks/gpus) stayed as JObject/JArray and reached
System.Text.Json downstream in UpsertDeviceSnapshotAsync, serializing to corrupt
nested-empty-array output (e.g. "disks":[[[[]],[[]]]]). Verified on live data.

- Extract shared EventDataNormalizer (Normalize + NormalizeMap); both ingest
paths and the read path (TableStorageService.DeserializeEventData) now use it,
consolidating 3 duplicate copies of the same logic into one.
- TelemetryPayloadParser.ParseEvent now normalizes after deserialize.
- DetectHasSSD: exact Equals("SSD"/"NVMe") -> case-insensitive Contains. The
agent reports composite media types ("NVMe SSD") so the exact compare matched
nothing and hasSSD was false on every row, independent of the corruption.
- New EventDataNormalizationTests cover nested normalization, STJ round-trip
safety, the read-path map, and DetectHasSSD matching.

Autopilot Monitor

Status License Website

Advanced monitoring and troubleshooting solution for Windows Autopilot deployments. Gain full visibility into every enrollment session with a detailed event timeline, fleet health dashboards, and session reporting. Define custom analysis rules to automatically detect issues and gather rules to collect targeted evidence. Retrieve diagnostics packages on demand, configure agent settings like auto-reboot behavior and automatic timezone adjustment — all managed centrally from the web dashboard.

Overview

Autopilot Monitor provides real-time tracking, intelligent diagnostics, and automated troubleshooting for Windows Autopilot enrollment processes. It consists of:

  • Bootstrap Script — PowerShell script deployed via Intune that starts monitoring early in the enrollment process
  • Monitoring Agent — Lightweight .NET application that collects telemetry and evidence during enrollment
  • Backend API — Azure Functions-based ingestion and processing pipeline
  • Web Dashboard — Next.js application for real-time monitoring and fleet analytics

Architecture
