grub-probe scans all block devices even without --recheck. On N100 mini-PCs
with eMMC + NVMe, scanning the eMMC causes grub-install to hang. Also skip
NVRAM writes (--no-nvram) since --removable installs to the default EFI path
without needing to register a boot entry in UEFI firmware variables.
