Anso 739bbf990e feat: flag documentation drift in the stack dossier (#1349)
* feat: flag documentation drift in the stack dossier

Warn in the Dossier tab when a port written into a stack's access_urls is not published by the stack's compose, so operator documentation stays aligned with what Sencho can observe.

The check is deterministic, read-only, and frontend-only: it compares ports parsed from access_urls against the published ports the Anatomy panel already shows, never interprets prose, and stays quiet for port-less URLs, scheme-default ports (:80/:443), and ports published through a variable, to avoid false positives. Community tier, no gating.

* test: pin doc-drift handling of bare hosts and mixed variable ports

Make two deterministic-drift behaviors intentional and regression-proof after review: a scheme-less single-label host (plex:32400) is not checked, since it cannot be told apart from a plain note (add a scheme to opt in), and a stack mixing a variable-published port with fixed ports suppresses the whole check. Adds tests for both, a clarifying code comment, and a docs note with the http:// workaround. No behavior change.

Anso 52ff0725f4 feat: add Compose Doctor preflight checks for stacks (#1348)
* feat: add Compose Doctor preflight checks for stacks

Add an on-demand, advisory preflight that renders a stack's effective
Compose model with `docker compose config` and runs a registry of
deterministic checks before deploy, surfacing findings grouped by
severity (blocker, high, warning, info) with a remediation for each.
Findings cover unset env vars, host-port conflicts on the node, broad
0.0.0.0 exposure, missing bind-mount paths, a mounted Docker socket,
privileged and host networking, moving image tags, missing restart
policy and healthcheck, Swarm-only deploy fields, missing external
networks or volumes, and container_name collisions.

The report is node-scoped and stored as the last run per stack, and the
route auto-proxies to the active node so a remote stack is checked on
the node that owns it. A new Doctor tab on the stack detail panel runs
preflight and shows the grouped findings, with a severity dot on the tab
when the last run has blocker or high findings. The tab is gated on a
compose-doctor capability so older nodes hide it.

No environment value is ever stored, returned, or logged: only env key
names and structural facts are read, and render failures surface a
generic message or the missing required-variable names, never raw
stderr.

* fix: scroll the stack tab strip when its tabs overflow

Adding the Doctor tab can push the per-stack Anatomy tab strip past the
panel width on narrower layouts. Make the tab row scroll horizontally
with subtle edge fades that appear only while there is more to scroll in
that direction, so a panel wide enough to show every tab is unchanged.

* fix: add clickable arrows and wheel scroll to the stack tab strip

Hiding the scrollbar left mouse users with no way to scroll the
overflowing tab row: a vertical wheel does not move a horizontal overflow
and native rows do not drag-scroll. Replace the passive edge fades with
clickable chevron arrows shown only when the row overflows that edge, and
translate a vertical wheel over the row into horizontal scroll.

* fix: inline the path-injection barrier in renderConfig

CodeQL's path-injection check does not credit the wrapped isPathWithinBase
helper as a sanitizer, so move the containment check inline at the spawn
cwd sink, matching the canonical barrier used elsewhere in the codebase.
Behavior is unchanged: the resolved stack directory must be contained in
the compose base and may not be the base itself.

* fix: hoist the compose-config spawn into the path-barrier scope

The earlier inline barrier sat in a different scope than the spawn cwd
sink (separated by the Promise-executor closure) and used a compound
guard, so CodeQL did not credit it. Use the exact canonical startsWith
barrier and hoist the spawn into the same scope as the check. Behavior
is unchanged: the executor runs synchronously in the same tick as the
spawn, so handlers still attach before any event can fire.

Anso 842ee7dd0c feat(fleet): export a whole-fleet Markdown dossier (#1334)
* feat(fleet): export a whole-fleet Markdown dossier

Add an admin-only "Export Dossier" action to the Fleet view that walks
every node and stack, pairs each stack's generated Compose anatomy with
its operator notes, and downloads a folder-structured homelab-dossier.zip
(index, per-node and per-stack pages, plus fleet-wide port, volume,
network, env, access-URL, and VLAN/firewall maps).

Reuses the existing stack dossier and anatomy Markdown generators by
extracting the shared Compose parsers into a frontend lib module.
Unreachable nodes are recorded with a reason and never block the export;
only env variable names and counts are ever emitted, never values.

* fix(fleet): unique stack slugs and reproducible dossier archive

Disambiguate stack names on one node that slugify to the same value (e.g.
`Web` and `web` on a case-sensitive host) with a per-node slug map shared by
the node-page links and the file emission, so neither overwrites the other.
Pin a fixed entry timestamp on the zip so the archive bytes are a pure
function of the file map rather than the wall clock.

Anso 57fe430db8 feat(stacks): add Stack Dossier tab with operator notes and Markdown export (#1326)
* feat(stacks): add Stack Dossier tab with operator notes and Markdown export

Add a Dossier tab beside Anatomy and Activity on the stack detail panel. It
shows a read-only summary auto-derived from the stack's Compose anatomy
(services, ports, volumes, network, restart policy, env file, source) plus an
editable form for the context Sencho cannot infer: purpose, owner, access URLs,
static IP, VLAN, and firewall, reverse-proxy, backup, upgrade, recovery, and
custom notes.

Notes persist per stack and per node in a new stack_dossiers table, reached
transparently through the remote-node proxy so a remote stack's dossier
round-trips to the node that owns it. Reading a dossier needs stack read
permission; saving needs stack edit. The tab exports a single Markdown document
combining the generated facts and the operator notes, with copy-to-clipboard and
download actions; env values are never exported, only variable names and counts.

Available on all tiers. The standalone anatomy copy-as-Markdown shortcut is
removed since the Dossier export supersedes it.

* fix(stacks): gate dossier reads/writes on stack existence; clear dossier on node delete

A dossier endpoint validated the stack name but not that the stack exists, so an
editor could PUT a dossier for a name with no stack, leaving an orphan row that a
later stack of the same name would inherit. Require the stack to exist (existing
requireStackExists guard) on the dossier GET and PUT, returning 404 otherwise.

Also clear a node's stack_dossiers rows when the node is deleted, alongside the
other node-scoped cleanup, so removing a node leaves no orphan dossiers.

Docs: scope the "no secret exported" statement to the generated facts (which only
ever carry variable names and counts) and clarify that operator notes are
exported exactly as written.

Anso af4083175c feat(fleet): add read-only dependency map tab (#1324)
* feat(fleet): add read-only dependency map tab

Add a fleet-wide Dependencies tab to Fleet view that maps how stacks,
services, networks, volumes, and ports relate, with flags for missing
dependencies, port conflicts, orphaned resources, and cross-stack shared
resources. Read-only; filterable by stack, node, and flag; collapsed by
default with a list-view fallback at scale.

The graph is derived at request time from Docker and compose metadata, so
no new table or persisted state is introduced. A per-node graph endpoint
feeds a hub aggregation endpoint that fans out across the fleet and
degrades gracefully, surfacing unreachable or unparseable nodes inline
while the rest of the map still renders.

* fix(fleet): harden dependency map flag detection and remote merge

Address review findings on the dependency map:
- Port-conflict detection now does pairwise host-scope overlap, so an
unrelated bind on the same port and protocol but a different specific host
IP is no longer flagged, and the flag lands on the exact scoped port node.
- A running service's depends_on target is only considered satisfied when it
is actually running, so a crashed (exited) dependency is surfaced while a
  deliberately stopped stack stays quiet.
- Declared external networks and volumes are reported missing when they do
not exist on the host instead of being assumed present.
- The hub deep-validates each remote node-graph payload before merging, so a
reachable-but-malformed remote degrades to a single node error rather than
failing the whole fleet map, and the validation failure is logged.
- Searching or filtering on a network, volume, or port now also reveals the
services that claim it and their stacks.

Anso 13b6acab16 feat(stacks): copy stack anatomy as Markdown (#1323)
* feat(stacks): copy stack anatomy as Markdown

Add a "copy md" action to the Stack Anatomy panel that exports the parsed
compose summary as a deterministic Markdown document: services, ports and
volumes tables, restart policy, env file with its variable count, missing
variables, network, and source. Useful for pasting a stack's wiring into a
README, a Git repository, Obsidian, BookStack, or a support thread.

The export carries only env variable names and counts, never the values
stored in .env files.

* fix(stacks): escape backslashes in anatomy Markdown table cells

escapeCell escaped pipes but not the backslash itself, so a backslash in a
cell value (for example a Windows path) could defeat the pipe escaping and
break the rendered table row. Escape the backslash first, then pipes, then
collapse newlines. Adds a regression test.

* fix(stacks): correct git source attribution and CR handling in anatomy export

Gate the Anatomy panel's git source on its owning stack so a slow git-source
response for a previously selected stack can no longer render or be exported
under a different stack. Also collapse lone carriage returns (not just CRLF and
LF) in Markdown table cells so a stray CR cannot break a table row.

Anso d03d97d964 fix(nodes): close capability-gating gaps in node compatibility (#1261)
* fix(nodes): close capability-gating gaps in node compatibility

Vulnerability scanning is now gated correctly on whether the active node
advertises support for it:

- A node without the Trivy binary stops advertising the scanning capability.
Previously the capability was toggled only on a state change, so a node that
booted without Trivy kept advertising scanning it could not perform.
- The control node's own capability list now reflects features disabled at
runtime, matching what it advertises to peers.
- The scan history surface shows a clear "not available on this node" card,
with its header actions hidden, instead of attempting a request that fails.

A node's version and capability metadata now refreshes immediately after a
connection test or a completed update, rather than waiting out the cache.

Capability gates fail closed to the unavailable card when a node's metadata
request errors, instead of staying open until the next fetch.

Adds a test that fails if the frontend and backend capability lists drift,
plus coverage for the metadata error path, the runtime-disabled local meta,
the scanning capability sync, and the metadata cache invalidation paths.

* fix(nodes): refresh node metadata client-side after a connection test

A connection test dropped the server-side metadata cache, but the dashboard
kept its own cached copy until the client TTL expired, so version and
capability gates could stay stale in the browser. The test now forces a
client-side metadata refresh for that node, so the version pill and gates
reflect the node's current state immediately.

Also strips any URL userinfo before logging the metadata fetch target, and
makes the scanning-capability detection test deterministically exercise the
no-binary disable path rather than depending on whether the runner has Trivy.

Anso 5dea040ec8 fix(deploy-progress): decouple deploys from the live progress stream (#1246)
* fix(deploy-progress): decouple deploys from the live progress stream

The deploy progress modal streamed compose output over a WebSocket, but
the deploy itself was coupled to that socket in two ways that could break
or silently abort a deploy:

- The deploy request was gated on the progress socket connecting, so any
upgrade failure (a reverse proxy blocking WebSocket upgrades, or the
admin-only stream rejecting a scoped deployer) left the modal stuck on
"Connecting..." and the deploy never fired.
- The backend terminated the running compose process when that socket
closed, so minimizing the modal, navigating away, or a network blip
  aborted an in-flight deploy.

Make the progress socket output-only: the deploy is owned by its request
and runs to completion (or the existing command timeout) regardless of
the stream. The modal now degrades to a "Live progress unavailable" state
and still reports success or failure from the request result. Connect
failures, drops, and a connect timeout all release the deploy instead of
blocking it.

Also route progress output per deploy: the frontend sends a correlation
id on both the connectTerminal message and the deploy request header, and
the backend keys progress sockets by that id so concurrent deploys from
different tabs or users no longer cross-stream each other's output.

Cap the in-memory parsed log rows so a very long deploy cannot grow the
modal's state unbounded.

* fix(deploy-progress): generate the deploy session id with a CSPRNG

The per-deploy correlation id keys which WebSocket receives a deploy's
live output, so a guessable id lets one authenticated client register a
victim's id and read its compose output. It was built from Math.random()
plus a timestamp, which is not cryptographically secure.

Generate it with crypto.getRandomValues (128 bits, hex). That is the one
Crypto member available in insecure contexts, so it still works over LAN
HTTP where crypto.randomUUID is unavailable.

* fix(deploy-progress): stop headerless ops bleeding into a keyed progress modal

Address review findings on the progress-stream routing:

- Only an id-less connectTerminal registration may become the id-less
fallback socket. Previously every connectTerminal (including keyed deploy
modals) set the fallback, so a headerless operation (bulk update, rollback,
or a legacy client) resolved via getTerminalWs() into another user's keyed
deploy modal. Keyed sockets are now excluded from the fallback, and a socket
that adopts a session id is removed from it.
- The connect-timeout fallback now also flags the modal as "Live progress
unavailable" instead of leaving it on "Connecting..." while the deploy runs.
- Log only a short prefix of the deploy session id in developer diagnostics,
  not the full capability value.

Anso d8b6f8cf3b feat(stack-files): force-text override for misidentified binary files (#1215)
* feat(stack-files): force-text override for misidentified binary files

The binary-detection heuristic (30% non-printable / NUL in the first
8 KB) sometimes flags UTF-8 files that happen to carry an embedded NUL
or a high non-printable ratio, locking the user out of inline editing
with only a Download fallback.

readStackFile now accepts an optional { forceText: true } that bypasses
isBinaryBuffer on the small-file path and returns the bytes as UTF-8
content. The route exposes this as ?force=text on GET /files/content.
The oversized branch deliberately stays untouched: returning a multi-MB
file as JSON-encoded text is wasteful regardless of the heuristic.

SpecialFilePanel grows an optional extraAction slot. The viewer's
binary branch wires Open as text anyway, which refetches with the new
flag, clears isBinary, and routes the content through the existing
Monaco editor path. A failed override surfaces both an inline error
panel and a toast so the user knows why the click did nothing.

Backend tests pin the heuristic-vs-override behaviour pair on a file
with a literal NUL byte. The frontend test asserts that the second
readStackFile call carries forceText: true and that Monaco mounts.
Troubleshooting accordion entry updated to mention the new affordance.

* fix(stack-files): guard the binary-override path against oversized files

The override on the binary panel could open Monaco against an empty
content buffer if the backend's oversized branch ran (files past the
2 MB inline-preview cap intentionally carry no content even when
force=text is set). Saving that empty buffer would wipe the file on
disk.

Two reinforcing changes:

- Initial load now checks result.oversized before result.binary, so a
file that is both oversized and has binary bytes in the 8 KB probe
shows the Download panel rather than the binary panel. The size
signal stays in front of the operator and the override button never
surfaces for a file that cannot be safely opened inline.

- The handleForceText handler now respects result.oversized on the
refetch and transitions to the Download panel instead of clearing
isBinary and copying result.content ?? '' into Monaco.

Same handler also gains a stale-request guard via a selectedPathRef:
a slow override for file A no longer stomps on file B's state if the
user navigated away while the request was in flight.

Two regression tests pin the new behaviour: oversized+binary surfaces
the Download panel on initial load, and an oversized refetch from the
binary panel routes to the Download panel rather than Monaco.

Anso 4964320f50 fix(stack-files): optimistic concurrency on file-tab writes via mtime ETag (#1206)
* fix(stack-files): optimistic concurrency on file-tab writes via mtime ETag

PUT /api/stacks/:name/files/content previously did a blind write; two
operators editing the same script lost one of the saves with no
warning. The compose-file editor already had mtime optimistic
concurrency (PR #1183); this brings the file-explorer write path to
the same shape.

GET /files/content now also returns mtimeMs and sets a weak ETag header
derived from the stat. The matching PUT reads If-Match, asks
FileSystemService.writeStackFileIfUnchanged to compare against the
live mtime, and returns 412 PRECONDITION_FAILED with the current
content and mtime when the stale-write check fails. Successful writes
echo a fresh ETag so the client can pin the next save without re-GET.

readStackFile and writeStackFileIfUnchanged each open the file once
and stat+read through the same handle so the mtime returned to the
client matches the bytes that were sent, even if the file is replaced
between the two operations.

PUT without If-Match still succeeds (backward compatibility with
scripted clients that do not roundtrip the ETag). FileViewer now sends
the loaded mtime on save, updates its local mtime from the success
response, and on FileConflictError adopts the server snapshot as the
new baseline so the user's follow-up edit-and-save does not loop on
the same precondition.

* fix(stack-files): treat deleted-target as conflict; preserve user buffer on conflict

Two follow-ups from code review on the prior commit:

- writeStackFileIfUnchanged now returns ok:false when expectedMtimeMs is
set and the target has been deleted. The caller was editing a file
that no longer exists; silently writing the buffer to the void is
wrong. The client adopts the empty snapshot as 'file is gone, start
over' and the user keeps control of what to save next.

- The FileViewer conflict handler no longer overwrites the user's
typed buffer with the server snapshot. It updates the baseline so
the next save sends the fresh mtime, then leaves the editor content
alone. The user sees their edits, the Save button stays enabled,
and a follow-up click applies their changes on top of the new
server version without silently destroying what they typed.

* fix(api): preserve default headers when caller supplies a headers field

apiFetch built defaultOptions.headers by merging Content-Type, x-node-id,
and the caller's headers, but then spread the unmodified fetchOptions
over defaultOptions at the outer level. The spread overwrote the merged
headers with the caller's bare headers, silently dropping Content-Type
on every request that supplied any custom header.

This was latent until the file-explorer save path started sending an
If-Match header. The Express body parser refused the PUT without
Content-Type, the route returned 400, the editor showed an error
toast instead of the success toast, and the Playwright save assertion
timed out.

Destructure headers out of fetchOptions before the outer spread so the
already-merged defaultOptions.headers survives. Add api.test.ts with
four regression cases pinning Content-Type, the If-Match merge,
x-node-id presence when active, and localOnly skip.

Anso c8b095b887 fix(stack-files): confirm before overwriting an existing upload target (#1204)
* fix(stack-files): confirm before overwriting an existing upload target

Same-name uploads previously truncated the existing file silently. A
user dragging a file with a name that matched an in-place file
destroyed the original with no warning and no undo.

The upload route now reads ?overwrite=0|1. When the flag is not set
and the target already exists, the server returns 409 FILE_EXISTS
and the original file is untouched. The frontend opens a confirm
dialog and retries with overwrite=1 on the user's approval; cancel
keeps the original.

A new pathExists helper on FileSystemService performs the existence
check through the same path-resolution barrier as the write so a
malicious relPath cannot bypass the conflict check. UploadConflictError
is exported so callers can distinguish the conflict case from generic
upload failures without parsing error strings.

* fix(stack-files): distinct DIR_EXISTS code, drop INVALID_PATH swallow in existence check

Anso 82a4e94589 chore(stack-files): client-side path-traversal guard in stackFilesApi (#1190)
The backend already rejects path-traversal attempts through
isValidRelativeStackPath, so the server side is safe today. Adding a
client-side mirror is defense-in-depth: it shortens the failure loop
(no wasted round trip) and protects against a future server-side
regression that loosens validation.

Adds isClientSafeRelPath in frontend/src/lib/stackFilesApi.ts mirroring
the backend predicate (rejects absolute paths, drive letters,
backslashes, NUL bytes, double slashes, and any segment that is `.`
or `..`). Wraps every export that accepts a relPath / targetDir /
fromRel / toRel argument with assertSafeRelPath, throwing a clear
Error before the fetch is issued.

12 unit tests cover the predicate (POSIX accepts, traversal rejects,
Windows drive letters, backslashes, NUL bytes, non-string inputs).
Frontend suite stays at 288/288.

Anso cdb9cd414e feat(routing): redesign node cards to the System Sheet recipe (#1133)
Lift <RoutingNodeCard> primitive from audit §21 / DESIGN §9.13. Migrate
the fleet adapter to consume it: collapse five inline state pills into
a single nodeState prop, replace the k/v stat list with a mono meta
line, drop the per-row HEALTHY chip in favor of a state dot, and add a
real empty-state block with a primary CTA for every state. Compact
density body swap stays inside the component, no -compact fork.

Anso e05099f2a1 fix(fleet-sync): make control-identity-mismatch sticky and surface in UI (#1117)
Treat 409 CONTROL_IDENTITY_MISMATCH from a replica as a non-retriable
failure instead of looping the same 409 through the 5-minute retry
service forever and silently writing identical failure rows.

Backend
- DatabaseService: add `sticky_error_code`, `sticky_error_expected`,
`sticky_error_got` columns to `fleet_sync_status` via an idempotent
  migration. New methods setFleetSyncSticky, getFleetSyncStickyCode,
  clearFleetSyncStickyForNode. recordFleetSyncSuccess clears the sticky
flag on a clean push. getFailedSyncTargets SQL adds
`AND sticky_error_code IS NULL` so the retry loop skips sticky rows.
- FleetSyncService.executePushToNode: short-circuits at the top when
sticky is set (covers event-driven pushResourceAsync calls). On a 409
with code CONTROL_IDENTITY_MISMATCH, records the failure once and
pins sticky with the expected/got fingerprints carried in the 409 body.
- routes/nodes.ts: new POST /api/nodes/:id/fleet-sync/reset-anchor.
  Admin + paid + node:manage. Proxies POST /api/fleet/role/reanchor to
the peer with `{override:true}` using the stored Bearer node_proxy
token. On peer 200, clears every sticky row for the node so the next
push re-anchors and resumes replication. Distinct 502 / 504 responses
for peer-rejected / peer-unreachable so the UI can show a useful toast.

Frontend
- New lib/fleetSyncApi.ts + hooks/useFleetSyncStatus.ts. Polling hook
(30s visibilityInterval) skips fetch when !isPaid.
- NodeManager.tsx: destructive banner per affected node listing both
fingerprints, with `Reset anchor on peer` and `Remove node` buttons.
Hidden for community-tier users via empty hook data.
- FleetConfiguration.tsx (Fleet -> Status): read-only `Policy sync`
SummaryRow per remote node card. In sync / degraded / paused with
a tooltip; no action buttons (the action lives in NodeManager).

Tests
- fleet-sync-service.test.ts: 4 new cases for sticky-set on first
mismatch, short-circuit on subsequent pushes, null fingerprints,
and non-mismatch failures not setting sticky.
- database-fleet-sync-sticky.test.ts (new): 6 cases pinning the DB
contract incl. retry-loop SQL filter and migration idempotency.
- nodes-fleet-sync-reset-anchor.test.ts (new): 6 cases covering
  happy path, peer 401 -> 502, peer unreachable -> 504, local-node
rejection, unknown node id, and community-tier 403.

Gate parity (Directive 30): the new POST .../reset-anchor enforces
requireAdmin + requirePaid + node:manage (matches the existing read at
GET /api/fleet/sync-status). UI banner + SummaryRow only render when the
hook returns data, which it only does for paid-tier authed users. No
existing tier-gate file moved; this is greenfield parity.

Auth audit: the peer's POST /api/fleet/role/reanchor route already uses
requireAdmin, which accepts the central's stored node_proxy Bearer
token because authMiddleware maps `scope === 'node_proxy'` to
`req.user = { username: 'node-proxy', role: 'admin', userId: 0 }`.
No widening required.

Backend tsc clean. Frontend tsc -b clean. 59 fleet-sync tests pass; full
backend suite green minus the pre-existing Windows-only file-lock flake
on filesystem-backup.test.ts that reproduces unchanged on main.

Anso 554f662563 fix(mesh): surface stopped-stack opt-ins on routing node cards (#1098)
Add `currentlyResolvable: boolean` per entry in `MeshNodeStatus.optedInStacks`,
derived from the existing alias cache so the new field stays consistent with
`/api/mesh/aliases` without any extra Dockerode or cross-node inspect on the
status path. The Routing tab renders an amber `suspended` pill for entries
whose stack is opted in but currently has no running services, plus a single
explanatory caption below the suspended list.

Resolves the contradictory `Mesh stacks: 1 / Aliases: 0 / No mesh services
on this node yet` copy on the node card when a meshed stack's container has
been stopped; the misleading line is now only shown when the node truly has
no opt-ins. The opt-in itself remains sticky: when the stack starts again,
its aliases reappear automatically on the next refresh.

Defensive de-dup in the UI filters suspended entries against the live alias
snapshot to handle the transient gap where `/mesh/status` and `/mesh/aliases`
return slightly inconsistent views from their separate fetches.

Tests:
- new `mesh-status-resolvability.test.ts` (6 cases) locks the resolvable /
  suspended / mixed / empty / per-node-scoping / stale-alias-no-phantom
  invariants for `getStatus`.
- `mesh-topology-layout.test.ts` gains a `stacksKey` resolvability-flip case
and a `meshNodeStateEqual` case asserting a resolvability flip on an
otherwise identical stack registers as a state change so the topology
  layout re-runs.

Operator docs gain one new troubleshooting accordion in
`/docs/features/sencho-mesh.mdx` explaining the suspended state.

Anso f6e42535c8 fix(mesh): route peer→central traffic over the existing forward WS (#1094)
* fix(mesh): route peer→central traffic over the existing forward WS

The reverse mesh callback path (`/api/mesh/proxy-tunnel-from-peer`) needed
SENCHO_PRIMARY_URL on central plus a publicly reachable origin from the
peer's perspective. In a typical homelab where central sits behind NAT,
peer→central dispatch silently failed at the dialer's short-circuit and
the headline "call any service on any node by hostname" worked one way
only.

The forward WS at `/api/mesh/proxy-tunnel` is already bidirectional end
to end. Make the bridge a persistent control-plane primitive: dial every
mesh-enabled proxy peer at startup, reconcile every 60 s, never idle-close.
Peer→central traffic multiplexes over the same WS via `tcp_open_reverse`.

Removed:
- `meshProxyTunnelFromPeer.ts` WS handler and dispatch
- `MeshCentralRegistry`, `PeerToCentralMeshSessionDialer`
- `mesh_handshake` first-frame state machine in `meshProxyTunnel.ts`
- `maybeSendBootstrap`, `buildHandshakeFrame` in the dialer
- `mesh_proxy_callback_bootstrap` capability and `maybeWarnUnsetPrimaryUrl`
- `mesh_centrals` table (drop migration; greenfield, no users)
- `PilotTunnelManager.replaceOrRegisterProxyBridge` (dead after handler removal)
- twelve associated unit/integration tests plus the peer-recovery branch
  in `MeshService.openCrossNode`

Added:
- `MeshService.proactiveBridgeFanout` selects every mesh-enabled proxy
peer (no longer gated on `mesh_stacks` rows)
- `startBridgeReconcileLoop` runs the fanout every 60 s (override via
  `SENCHO_MESH_RECONCILE_INTERVAL_MS`)
- `MeshProxyTunnelDialer` default idle TTL is now `0` and exposes
  `isDialing(nodeId)` for the status surface
- `MeshNodeStatus.reverseCallbackStatus` discriminator
  (`connected | connecting | unavailable | not_applicable`) surfaced via
`/api/mesh/status` and rendered as a pill in the Routing tab
- `openCrossNode` error message distinguishes "no proxy target" from
"waiting for central to dial the reverse bridge"
- New tests: `mesh-service-proxy-tunnel-reconcile`,
  `mesh-status-reverse-callback`, `mesh-proxy-tunnel-dialer-no-idle-close`

SENCHO_PRIMARY_URL is no longer required for any mesh function.

* fix(mesh): rewrite proxy-tunnel reconcile test contents

The previous commit renamed the file but the rewritten test bodies stayed
unstaged on top of the rename. This commit lands the actual rewrite: the
fanout assertion now requires every mesh-enabled proxy peer to be dialed,
not just those with `mesh_stacks` rows, and adds a reconcile-tick
repeated-call test.

Anso 3323a59003 fix(mesh): poll topology data and tighten stack-membership equality (#1059)
Adds a visibility-aware 30s poll on the Routing tab so the graph reflects
tunnel state, alias publishes, and remote-node disconnects without a
manual reload. Polling pauses while the tab is hidden and wakes
immediately on focus via the shared visibilityInterval helper.

Tightens nodeStateEqual so a stack swap on the same node (opt out A, opt
in B) is detected even when the count is unchanged. Extracts the helper,
the minimap colour mapping, and the minimap colour literals to
mesh-topology-layout so they can be unit-tested and to drop a now-unused
isOwnerView field from MeshNodeData.

Persists the Table/Graph and Tunnels/Aliases toggles to localStorage so a
Routing tab session keeps the operator's last-used view.

Adds a legend line to the per-stack topology sheet clarifying that
consumer edges mean meshed peers that could reach the aliases via DNS;
whether containers dial them depends on each consumer's own opt-in
stacks.

Adds unit tests for stacksKey, meshNodeStateEqual, and miniMapColorFor,
plus troubleshooting entries and a refresh-cadence note to the mesh docs.

Anso 2e82eb44fe feat(fleet): multi-mode topology with label grouping and persisted positions (#1054)
The Topology view now offers three layouts so the canvas adapts to how the
fleet is organised, not the other way around:

- Hub: the gateway anchored on the left with remotes radiating right
- Grouped (Skipper+): remotes cluster by their primary node label, with the
local node in its own cluster and unlabeled remotes in an Unlabeled cluster
- Free (Skipper+): drag any node; positions persist per browser via local
  storage

Node cards gain label pills (Skipper+), a cordon banner with reason tooltip,
a latency chip for online remotes, and a stale pilot-heartbeat glyph. All
fields are sourced from /api/fleet/overview, which already returns cordon,
latency, and pilot timestamps; no backend changes required.

Community continues to see the single Hub layout (without the toolbar, no
gating cues), matching the visibility principle that paid affordances are
hidden from lower tiers rather than displayed as locked teasers. The
backend /api/node-labels route is already requirePaid, so the data gate is
honoured end to end.

Includes unit tests for the layout module (hub/grouped/free coverage) and
the preferences hook (round-trip plus corrupt-JSON fallback).

Anso 9e4b969dfb feat(mesh): add topology graph view and per-stack drill sheet (#1052)
Adds a Table/Graph toggle to Fleet → Traffic. Graph mode draws the fleet
as a ReactFlow diagram with a second toggle that switches edge encoding
between Tunnels (one edge per node pair, coloured by tunnel state) and
Aliases (same edges labelled with alias counts). Clicking a node card
opens the existing opt-in sheet, where each opted-in stack now has a
Topology button that opens a focused side sheet showing the stack at
the centre, the aliases it publishes, and the meshed consumer nodes
with per-tunnel state.

Reuses the existing /mesh/status and /mesh/aliases endpoints; no
backend changes. Inherits the Admiral gate from the parent Routing
tab. Layout helpers and the per-stack sheet are unit-tested.

Anso 0f0b22c51a feat(fleet): Fleet Secrets tab with env-var bundles (v1 MVP) (#965)
* feat(fleet): add Fleet Secrets tab with versioned env-var bundles (Skipper+)

Centralized, encrypted-at-rest secret bundles that can be pushed to labeled
nodes' stacks. Each save bumps a monotonic version; each push records a
per-node-per-version row in `secret_pushes` plus an entry in `audit_log`.
Conflict detection shows added/changed/unchanged/removed (informational)
diffs before write. Overlay merge preserves keys missing from the bundle.

- Adds `secrets`, `secret_versions`, `secret_pushes` tables.
- New `SecretsService` reuses CryptoService for AES-256-GCM, NodeLabelService
for selectors, and direct fetch + Bearer for outbound calls to remote nodes.
- New `secretsRouter` with 9 endpoints under `/api/secrets`, gated by
`requirePaid`. Mounted after the auth gate.
- Audit summary patterns added for the new routes.
- New Fleet › Secrets tab with bundle list, editor sheet (key=value rows,
versions tab), and push wizard (selector, target stack, env file picker,
  per-node diff preview, results pills).
- Documentation: docs/features/fleet-secrets.mdx + docs.json nav entry.
- 26 Vitest cases cover parser, encryption, versioning, push aggregation,
  tier gating.

* fix(fleet): use const for rawValue in env parser

ESLint prefer-const flagged the let declaration as a CI-blocking error;
the variable is never reassigned.

Anso 52b46753af feat(fleet): add Federation tab with cordon and pin policy (Admiral) (#964)
Ships the v1 MVP for the Federation tab as placement control, not
placement automation:

- Cordon a node: marks the node unschedulable so the BlueprintReconciler
skips it for new placements only. Existing deployments continue to
drift-check and redeploy on revision changes; cordon never triggers
withdraw or eviction. Toggle on the NodeCard kebab (Admiral, admin
role); Cordoned pill renders for all tiers.
- Pin a blueprint to a node: stores blueprints.pinned_node_id, replacing
the desired set with the pinned node regardless of selector. Pin
  overrides cordon by design. Action lives only in the Federation tab;
BlueprintDetail and the deployment table show read-only Pinned
  indicators.

Backend: idempotent migrations add nodes.cordoned/cordoned_at/cordoned_reason
and blueprints.pinned_node_id. New routes POST /api/nodes/:id/cordon,
POST /api/nodes/:id/uncordon, PUT /api/blueprints/:id/pin, all gated by
requireAdmiral plus requireAdmin. Audit summaries added so the existing
auditLog middleware records every operator action. deleteNode clears
dangling pins.

Reconciler: pin override evaluated before selector match; cordon filter
applied only to the new-placement branch (deploy/stateReview without an
existing deployment). 11 new Vitest cases cover cordon filter, pin
override, pin-overrides-cordon, missing pin target, pin shrinks
desired set (stateless withdraw + stateful evict_blocked), and pin
clearing on node delete.

Frontend: new FederationTab.tsx with cordoned-nodes summary and
pin-policy table. Federation moved out of the experimental flag into
{isAdmiral && (...)} + AdmiralGate, mirroring the Routing tab pattern.
Secrets stays under experimental.

Tests pass: backend tsc, full Vitest suite (1704 passed), frontend
tsc -b, ESLint (0 errors). Manual verification via the local dev
instance confirmed the tab is hidden at Community, the kebab and pill
render at Admiral, and cordon and pin endpoints round-trip end to end.

Refs cut-line-1.0.md Federation v1 MVP.

Anso 7fe90d9f3a feat(blueprints): capture compose snapshot before stateful eviction (#957)
Wire the snapshot_then_evict withdraw mode to actually persist the
blueprint's compose YAML to fleet_snapshots before running the
eviction. The mode previously recorded intent only. Capture failure
aborts the eviction with HTTP 500 rather than silently falling
through to a destructive withdraw.

Volume bytes remain out of scope: the snapshot holds the compose
definition only. UI copy and the Blueprints docs (Withdraw note,
Migrating stateful data section, two new Troubleshooting entries)
clarify that operators must move volumes by hand if they need the
data on another node.

Adds 9 route-level tests covering the success path, snapshot DB
write failure, orphan-row cleanup when insertSnapshotFiles fails,
empty compose_content, evict_and_destroy unchanged, stateless
unchanged, evict_blocked gate, omitted confirm field, and bad
confirm value.

Anso 775fab7d64 feat(dashboard): replace duplicate Recent Activity card with Fleet Heartbeat / Stack Restart Map (#932)
* feat: open security basics, manual fleet ops, and basic fleet management to Community

Realign tier guards to the user-stated philosophy: Community covers
deploy/monitor at scale plus security basics, Skipper adds automation
and advanced fleet management, Admiral keeps enterprise control.

Community now includes:
- Trivy install / uninstall / update from the Settings Hub (admin role)
- CVE suppressions CRUD (admin role; replicates fleet-wide)
- Manual image scan with vuln, secret, and misconfig results
- Stack-config scan, scan comparison
- Manual fleet snapshots: create, list, view, restore, delete
- Per-node Sencho self-update (Check Updates + per-node Update)
- Fleet Overview search, sort, filters, node-card expand, auto-refresh

Stays paid:
- Scan policies with block_on_deploy enforcement (Skipper+)
- SBOM (SPDX, CycloneDX), SARIF export (Skipper+)
- Bulk Update All across the fleet (Skipper+)
- Scheduled snapshot create (now Skipper, was Admiral)
- Trivy auto-update toggle, fleet-wide policy push (Admiral)

The Settings -> Security tab is unhidden by setting the registry tier to
null. The SecuritySection no longer early-returns a PaidGate; the policy
list, Add Policy button, and policy dialogs are wrapped in {isPaid && }.
The Fleet view drops isPaid gates on the Snapshots tab, Check Updates
button, per-node update handlers, OverviewToolbar grid controls, the
NodeCard expand affordance, and the auto-refresh notice. The
NodeUpdatesSheet receives a canBulkUpdate prop and gates the Update All
button on it. useFleetUpdateStatus and useFleetPolling drop their isPaid
guards so polling runs for Community; useFleetOverview drops the isPaid
wrap on the filter and sort path.

Backend route guards are flipped per the matrix above. The scheduler
tick and requireScheduledTaskTier add 'snapshot' to the Skipper+ branch.
Backend test assertions are inverted for the now-Community endpoints
and a positive Skipper-snapshot-task test is added.

Documentation across features/, api-reference/, and operations/ is
updated to reflect the new tier mapping.

* feat: add node last-contact tracking, fleet latency, and stack-restart summary

- DatabaseService: add last_successful_contact column to nodes table via
idempotent migration; expose updateNodeLastContact() and getStackRestartSummary()
methods; include the column in NODE_COLUMNS so getNodes/getNode return it
- fleet.ts: record latency_ms and last_successful_contact on each remote
  node overview fetch; pilot-agent nodes surface pilot_last_seen instead;
pass db singleton into fetchRemoteNodeOverview to avoid redundant getInstance calls
- dashboard.ts: replace /recent-activity with /stack-restarts endpoint that
groups notification_history events by stack and category (crash/autoheal/manual)
over a configurable window (default 7 days, max 30)

* refactor(dashboard): remove redundant per-route authMiddleware

All routes under /api/ are covered by the global auth gate in app.ts.
The inline authMiddleware arguments on /configuration and /stack-restarts
were redundant with that gate and inconsistent with every other route in
the file. Remove them and drop the now-unused import.

* refactor(backend): consolidate Date.now(), move SQL aggregation, normalize node row mapping

- Capture a single completedAt timestamp in fetchRemoteNodeOverview to
eliminate two separate Date.now() calls and ensure latency_ms and
last_successful_contact are derived from the same instant
- Inline the redundant contactedAt variable; use completedAt directly
- Move stack-restart aggregation from JS into SQL (GROUP BY stack_name
with CASE/SUM counts), replacing the Map loop in the route handler
- Export StackRestartSummary interface from DatabaseService and remove
the duplicate local definition in dashboard.ts; handler now returns
  the query result directly
- Add last_successful_contact normalization in decryptNodeRow, mirroring
  the existing pilot_last_seen pattern
- Add authGate reliance comment above dashboardRouter route handlers

* feat(dashboard): replace Recent Activity card with context-aware Fleet Heartbeat / Stack Restart Map

- Multi-node installs (≥1 remote node): shows Fleet Heartbeat — real-time
reachability, latency, and container count per registered node
- Local-only installs: shows Stack Restart Map — 7-day restart frequency
per stack grouped by crash / auto-heal / manual category
- Conditional wrapper (DashboardActivityCard) switches states automatically
when the node list changes, with no page reload required
- Deletes RecentActivity card and hook (duplicated data already in Recent Alerts)
- Extracts formatRelativeTime to frontend/src/lib/utils.ts for reuse

* fix(dashboard): add pilot_last_seen to FleetNodeOverview and use it in getLastSeenLabel

* fix(fleet): expose mode and pilot_last_seen in overview, consolidate formatRelativeTime, drop em dash

- Add `mode` and `pilot_last_seen` (in seconds) to the FleetNodeOverview
interface and to both the pilot-agent and HTTP-proxy return paths in
fetchRemoteNodeOverview so the frontend getLastSeenLabel pilot branch
  can fire correctly
- Remove the private formatRelativeTime from RecentAlerts.tsx and use
the shared implementation from lib/utils, converting the millisecond
  timestamp at the call site
- Replace the em dash in getLatencyLabel with 'n/a' per project rules

Anso 49d775c61f feat(volumes): add read-only volume browser (#926)
* feat(volumes): add read-only volume browser

Adds a browser for the contents of any Docker named volume. Click the
folder icon on a volume row (admin only) to open a sheet with a directory
tree on the left and a file viewer on the right.

Backend
-------
New VolumeBrowserService spawns a one-shot Alpine 3.20 helper container
with the target volume mounted read-only at /v. The container runs as
nobody (65534:65534) with a read-only rootfs, no network, all caps
dropped, no-new-privileges, and capped at 64 PIDs and 128 MiB. The
helper image is pulled on first use per node.

Listing and stat use a portable busybox-compatible shell loop (find
-printf is not available on Alpine). Reads use head -c with an
explicit -- separator; the helper's working directory is /v so user
paths are passed as ./<path> argv elements and never as flags. The
container lifecycle is managed manually (create, attach, start, wait,
remove) to avoid the AutoRemove race where dockerode sees a 404 on
its post-exit container lookup.

Path safety: relative paths are sanitized server-side, rejecting
parent-escape segments, absolute paths, null bytes, and oversized
input. Symlinks are listed but never followed on read. Files larger
than 5 MB are truncated; binary content is detected via null-byte
scan and returned base64-encoded. Non-zero helper exits map to
404, 403, or 500 by classifying stderr.

Routes mounted at /api/volumes:
- GET /:name/list?path=
- GET /:name/stat?path=
- GET /:name/read?path=

All three require admin. The read endpoint always inserts an audit
log row (success or failure) with the actual response status code,
volume name, and relative path.

Frontend
--------
FileTree generalized to take a loadDir callback and a sourceKey
instead of a hard-coded stackName. The single existing consumer
(StackFileExplorer) was updated and its tests rewritten. The loader
is read through a ref so re-creating the arrow on every parent
render does not re-trigger the root fetch effect.

New VolumeBrowserSheet renders the tree against the volume API,
shows file content (hex view for binaries), and surfaces truncation.
Rapid sheet open and reopen on different volumes is generation-
checked to avoid stomping the visible result with a stale read.

A persistent footnote reminds the user that file reads are recorded
in the audit log, and the docs page warns about the typical contents
of database volumes.

Tests
-----
15 new vitest cases cover the pure helpers (path traversal, volume
name validation, binary detection). The Docker-facing exec path is
exercised by manual end-to-end via curl against a seeded volume.

* fix(volumes): truncate long volume names in browser sheet header

Wide volume names overlapped the close X. Reserve right padding on
the header, set min-w-0 on the flex title, mark the icon and refresh
button shrink-0, and truncate the name span.

* fix(volumes): satisfy lint on volume browser additions

prefer-const on sanitizeRelPath's local; drop unused FileTree entry
arg from the file-select callback (variance lets the arrow take fewer
params than the contract).

Anso a0bf5b5bf5 feat(sidebar): bulk stack operations (#854)
* feat(sidebar): bulk stack operations (select, start/stop/restart/update)

- Add ⊞ bulk mode toggle in SidebarActions (cyan active state, tooltip "Bulk
mode (B)"); keyboard shortcut B toggles, Esc exits, Ctrl+A selects all
  visible (chip-filtered) stacks
- Reserved checkbox column in StackRow becomes visible and interactive in bulk
mode; clicking a row in bulk mode toggles selection instead of opening the
stack; kebab and context-menu still work in either mode
- SidebarBulkBar appears below filter chips when >=1 stack selected: shows
count, Start / Stop / Restart / Update actions; Update is disabled with a
  Skipper TierBadge for Community licenses
- useBulkStackActions hook fans out operations via Promise.allSettled and
surfaces an aggregate toast ("3 of 4 restarted; 1 failed: plex")
- Bulk update enforced Skipper-gated frontend-side (isPaid check in hook) and
sends x-bulk-mode header for backend defense-in-depth
- Extract isInputFocused / isPaletteOpen to lib/keyboard-guards.ts; both
useStackKeyboardShortcuts and the new bulk keyboard effect now share the
same guards instead of duplicating the logic
- chipFilteredFiles captured via useRef in bulk keyboard effect so the listener
is not torn down and re-added on every status-poll cycle

* fix(sidebar): separate TooltipProviders for bulk and scan icon buttons

Wrapping both icon buttons in a single TooltipProvider made them
render as one flex child, collapsing the gap-2 between them.
Splitting into two independent TooltipProviders restores the 8px
gap and right padding of the scan button.

Anso 9a1c043189 refactor(settings): replace modal with nested full-page route (#848)
* refactor(settings): replace modal with nested full-page route

Settings sections are now URL-addressable at /settings/:sectionId, rendered
nested inside EditorLayout alongside the stack sidebar. Browser back/forward
navigates between sections. Deep links (e.g. /settings/cloud-backup) load
the section directly on hard reload.

- Add react-router-dom v7; BrowserRouter wraps the full app tree
- New SettingsPage (scroll memory, Cmd+K palette), SettingsSidebar (NavLink
active styling, back-arrow), SectionGate (visibility + tier lock card)
- Rename SectionId 'appstore' to 'app-store' so slug === SectionId
- Decouple SystemSection, DeveloperSection, AppStoreSection from modal-
passed props; each fetches its own data on mount
- Replace onLabelsChanged prop chain with SENCHO_LABELS_CHANGED window event
- Drop onOpenSettings prop from UserProfileDropdown, HomeDashboard,
  ConfigurationStatus; each calls useNavigate directly
- Delete SettingsModal.tsx

* fix(settings): validate sectionId against registry before property write

Prevents prototype pollution (CodeQL js/remote-property-injection #243).
URL param sectionId is checked against SETTINGS_ITEMS before being used
as a property key on scrollPositionsRef.

* fix(settings): eliminate remote property injection via Map and registry-sourced key

Two-part fix for CodeQL js/remote-property-injection:

1. currentSection is now derived from SETTINGS_ITEMS.find().id (trusted
registry data) instead of the raw sectionId URL param. The tainted
string never flows into any property access.

2. scrollPositionsRef uses Map<SectionId, number> with .get()/.set()
instead of a plain object. Map operations do not write to the prototype
chain, removing the prototype pollution vector entirely.

* test(e2e): align settings selectors with full-page route

The settings refactor (4475afd) replaced the modal with a nested route.
The new sidebar renders sub-sections as NavLinks (role link, not button)
and adds a "Filter settings" button that collides with the loose
/settings/i regex used in mfa and nodes specs.

- Use exact 'Settings' match for the profile-dropdown menu row
- Switch the Nodes sub-section selector from button to link role

Anso e74b4db44d perf(frontend): lazy-load xterm chunk + addons (#825)
xterm-the-terminal-emulator and its three addons (fit, search,
serialize) used to be imported at module scope by Terminal.tsx,
BashExecModal.tsx, and HostConsole.tsx along with xterm's CSS.
Even though only Terminal.tsx is rendered eagerly inside the editor
layout, the static imports forced the ~660 KB xterm chunk plus the
xterm.css bytes into every cold app start regardless of whether a
user ever opened a terminal.

Move the bootstrap into a new frontend/src/lib/xtermLoader.ts
module. loadXtermModules() Promise.alls the four addon imports plus
the CSS, caches the result on a shared promise, and returns the
constructors. On rejection the cache is cleared so the next mount
can retry instead of rethrowing the same failed promise.

Three consumers (Terminal, BashExecModal, HostConsole) swap their
value imports for type-only InstanceType aliases from the loader,
then call loadXtermModules() inside their existing useEffect. A
mounted/cancelled flag in each effect closure prevents
initialisation if the component unmounts during the load.

The vite.config.ts manualChunks group from #823 already groups all
@xterm/* packages into the xterm chunk, so it now loads on demand
instead of being bundled into the entry chunk.

Anso b5d038f395 perf(frontend): lazy-load Monaco editor + diff editor (#824)
Monaco-editor and @monaco-editor/react were imported eagerly from
main.tsx so that the locally-bundled Monaco was registered with
@monaco-editor/react (CSP blocks the default CDN load). This pulled
the ~3 MB monaco chunk into every cold app start regardless of
whether a user ever opened the editor.

Move the Monaco setup into a new frontend/src/lib/monacoLoader.tsx
module that exports React.lazy-wrapped Editor and DiffEditor
components. The lazy factory awaits a one-shot setupMonaco() that
dynamic-imports monaco-editor, @monaco-editor/react, and the editor
worker, then calls loader.config({ monaco }) and sets
window.MonacoEnvironment before resolving the underlying component.

Concurrent first mounts share a single setup promise so the work
runs at most once per process. The three consumers (EditorLayout,
FileViewer, GitSourceDiffDialog) wrap their editor in <Suspense>
with a transparent fallback that preserves layout while the chunk
loads.

main.tsx loses three eager imports plus the MonacoEnvironment +
loader.config bootstrap. The vite.config.ts manualChunks group from
PR #823 was already prepared for this; the monaco chunk now loads
on demand instead of being bundled into the entry chunk.

Anso d7d8f9bfe8 feat(dashboard): replace 24h charts with Configuration Status and Recent Activity (#785)
* feat(dashboard): replace 24h charts with Configuration Status and Recent Activity

The 24-hour CPU/Memory area charts summed per-container metrics normalized
to each container's CPU quota, producing numbers that bore no honest
relationship to host load. The live ResourceGauges strip already shows
accurate host-level stats, making the historical charts both inaccurate
and redundant.

This commit replaces that row with two side-by-side cards:

- **Configuration Status**: aggregates every toggleable feature on the
active node (notification agents, alert rules, routing rules, auto-heal,
auto-update, webhooks, scheduled tasks, MFA, SSO, vulnerability scanning,
cloud backup, and alert thresholds) into a single at-a-glance card.
Tier-locked rows display an upgrade indicator instead of a value.
Each row is clickable and navigates to the relevant settings section.
Data refreshes every 60 s and immediately on state-invalidate events.

- **Recent Activity**: lists the ten most recent notification-history events
for the active node (deployments, image updates, auto-heal actions, scan
findings, cloud backup events, system notices) with category icons and
relative timestamps. Refreshes every 30 s.

New backend endpoints:
- GET /api/dashboard/configuration - per-node feature status with locked/
requiredTier markers so the frontend renders upgrade chips without extra
calls. The endpoint sits after authGate and before the remote proxy so
  remote-node requests are transparently forwarded.
- GET /api/dashboard/recent-activity?limit=N - thin wrapper over
  DatabaseService.getNotificationHistory.
- GET /api/fleet/configuration - fleet-wide fan-out using the same
  Promise.allSettled dead-node-tolerant pattern as /fleet/overview.
Exposed as the new "Status" tab on the Fleet page (after Snapshots).

Shared utilities:
- visibilityInterval and formatCount extracted to frontend/src/lib/utils.ts
so the three polling hooks and two components share a single copy.

Anso 801a098a5b feat(files): per-stack file explorer (#780)
* feat(files): backend foundation for stack file explorer

Install multer for multipart file upload handling. Add
isValidRelativeStackPath to validation.ts to guard client-supplied
relative paths against traversal, absolute paths, NUL bytes, backslash
injection, and double-slash segments. Add isBinaryBuffer to a new
binaryDetect.ts utility for heuristic text/binary detection via
NUL-byte fast exit and non-printable byte ratio sampling.

* fix(files): reject bare dot segments in isValidRelativeStackPath

* feat(files): add safe stack-scoped file I/O methods to FileSystemService

Adds FileEntry interface and seven new public methods to FileSystemService
for stack-scoped file operations: listStackDirectory, readStackFile,
streamStackFile, writeStackFile, deleteStackPath, mkdirStackPath, and
statStackEntry.

Each method routes through a private resolveSafeStackPath helper that
enforces two-phase path containment: a pre-realpath lexical check plus a
post-realpath symlink-escape check. ENOENT targets are handled by walking
up to the deepest existing ancestor, realpaths that ancestor, and
reattaching the remaining suffix.

Binary detection delegates to isBinaryBuffer; path safety delegates to
isPathWithinBase. Protected file names and the MIME map are module-level
constants to avoid repeated allocation.

* feat(files): frontend API wrappers and Monaco language helper

* fix(files): tighten stackFilesApi error handling and localOnly support

* fix(files): FileSystemService safety and correctness fixes

* feat(files): add file explorer API endpoints to stacks router

* feat(files): FileTree and FileTreeNode components

* fix(files): route security hardening and stream cleanup

* fix(files): FileTree accessibility, icon stroke, stale fetch guard

Add strokeWidth={1.5} to all Lucide icons in FileTreeNode to match the
design system. Add aria-expanded to directory rows for accessibility.
Guard handleDirClick .then() callbacks against stale stack name
references when the component re-renders with a new stack. Add
toast.info fallbacks when compose.yaml or .env is clicked without a
navigation callback registered.

* feat(files): FileViewer, FileUploadDropzone, NewFolderDialog, DeleteFileConfirm

* fix(files): resolve code quality findings in file explorer components

- Move editorOptions useMemo above conditional returns in FileViewer (Rules of Hooks fix)
- Fix blob download: append anchor to DOM before click, defer URL revoke 100ms
- Keep protected-file confirm input visible during NOT_EMPTY recursive retry in DeleteFileConfirm
- Remove non-functional cursor-pointer/onClick from Community upgrade pill in FileUploadDropzone
- Add success toast on folder creation in NewFolderDialog
- Switch all (e as Error).message casts to instanceof Error narrowing

* test(files): unit tests for binary detection, stack path safety, and file explorer routes

- binary-detection.test.ts: covers isBinaryBuffer edge cases (empty, NUL,
PNG header, threshold boundary, sampleBytes parameter)
- filesystem-stack-paths.test.ts: covers isValidRelativeStackPath (accepts/
rejects matrix) and FileSystemService stack methods against a real temp dir
(listStackDirectory sort and protection flags, readStackFile text/binary/
  oversized paths, writeStackFile/Buffer, deleteStackPath, mkdirStackPath,
traversal guard); platform-specific empty-dir/NOT_EMPTY cases skip on Windows
- stack-files-routes.test.ts: route-level integration tests for all seven
file explorer endpoints; covers auth gating, Community-tier 403 gates,
input validation, 413 TOO_LARGE upload limit, and 204/200 happy paths

* feat(files): StackFileExplorer container with lazy tree, viewer, and action bar

* fix(files): add Download button to explorer toolbar, fix Community upgrade pill, reset state on stack change

* test(files): add missing test coverage for file explorer routes and service

* feat(files): add Files tab to EditorLayout with StackFileExplorer integration

* fix(files): add defensive activeTab guard to saveFile and discardChanges

* test(files): unit tests for FileTree expand/collapse and FileViewer render modes

Covers the three FileViewer content modes (text/Monaco, binary panel,
oversized panel) and the FileTree expand/collapse/cache cycle: first
expand fetches the subdirectory, second click collapses without a fetch,
third click re-expands from the in-memory cache without a second fetch.

* test(e2e): file explorer community and skipper+ flows

Covers the full file-explorer feature surface in two describe blocks:

Community (read-only): intercepts /api/license to simulate community
tier, confirms the upgrade pill is visible in the left pane, and
asserts that the Save button is absent after opening a text file.

Skipper+ (full CRUD): uploads a text file and confirms it appears in
the tree; edits config/app.conf and saves via Monaco; deletes an
uploaded file and asserts the tree entry is gone; issues a raw HTTP
request to the download endpoint and checks for status 200 and the
content-disposition: attachment header.

Also adds data-testid="file-action-delete" to the action bar Delete
button in StackFileExplorer for stable targeting, and exports
waitForStacksLoaded from e2e/helpers.ts to eliminate the three
identical local copies in stacks, deploy-log-panel, and stack-files
spec files.

* fix(e2e): improve test isolation and selector stability in stack-files spec

Move beforeEach seed to beforeAll/afterAll so fixtures are created once per
suite, not before every test. Extract shared seedSuite/teardownSuite helpers
to eliminate the duplicate beforeAll/afterAll blocks. Wrap teardown in
try/catch so failures log a warning rather than masking test results.

Replace waitForTimeout(500) with a deterministic expect on the file tree
sentinel. Add data-testid="anatomy-files-btn" and data-testid="delete-confirm-btn"
to replace the fragile button text/positional selectors. Assert Save button
starts disabled before editing.

* docs(files): add stack file explorer documentation

Add user-facing guide for the stack file explorer feature covering
tier access (Community read-only, Skipper+ read-write), viewing
limits, upload/download caps, protected file routing, and
troubleshooting. Update the editor page to reference the new guide
and register the page in the navigation.

* fix(docs): use canonical Skipper tier name in file explorer overview card

* fix(files): resolve lint errors blocking CI

Remove unnecessary backslash escape before double-quote in the
Content-Disposition regex (no-useless-escape). Replace five synchronous
setState resets at the top of the FileTree mount effect with a React key
prop on the FileTree element in StackFileExplorer so remounting resets
state automatically, eliminating the react-hooks/set-state-in-effect
violation.

* test(files): fix e2e seeding to work on community-tier CI

Replace the browser-side paid upload/mkdir API calls in seedTestStack with
direct Node fs writes. The upload and folder endpoints require Skipper+ so
they returned 403 on CI, which runs with no license set. Stack creation
via POST /api/stacks stays as an API call since it is community-allowed and
keeps the backend registry in sync.

Add a per-test tier check in the Skipper+ beforeEach that skips gracefully
when the instance is community, matching the pattern in auto-heal-policies.

Anso e0034132b4 feat(notifications): match routing rules by labels and categories (#776)
- Add label_ids and categories columns to notification_routes via idempotent migration
- Matcher logic always evaluates routes (AND semantics across all non-empty matchers)
- getStackLabelIds skips DB call when no enabled route uses label filtering
- Extract ALL_NOTIFICATION_CATEGORIES array from NotificationService as single source of truth
- Derive VALID_CATEGORIES set from the array in the route handler
- Extract validateLabelIds and validateCategories helpers to remove POST/PUT duplication
- Extract tryAddColumn as a private DatabaseService class method (removes 5 local re-declarations)
- Extract CATEGORY_LABELS to frontend/src/lib/notificationCategories.ts (shared by NotificationPanel and NotificationRoutingSection)
- Frontend form adds label and category multiselects with AND-filter hint
- Route cards show label and category badges; empty-matcher routes show 'Matches all alerts'
- Add tests for category-only, label-only, and combined AND-semantics routing

Anso 4c35226719 fix(frontend): make copy buttons work over plain HTTP (#757)
The Clipboard API requires a secure context, so navigator.clipboard is
undefined when Sencho is accessed over HTTP on a LAN IP. Most copy
buttons therefore failed silently and a few even fired success toasts
without writing anything to the clipboard.

Extract a shared copyToClipboard helper that prefers the modern API in
secure contexts and falls back to a hidden-textarea execCommand path
otherwise, then route every existing call site through it.

Anso 12c2b37510 feat(security): polish scan sheets, fix CVE links, surface policy violations (#721)
* feat(security): polish scan sheets, fix CVE links, surface policy violations

Adds cveUrl helper that rewrites Trivy's 404-ing avd.aquasec.com links to
cve.org for CVE-prefixed IDs (GHSA and misconfig URLs pass through unchanged).
Redesigns both scan sheets with shadow-card-bevel chips, tracked-mono kickers,
severity row tinting with a left accent rail, and tabular-nums timestamps.
Surfaces a destructive policy-violation banner on scans whose policy_evaluation
row flags a block, and fixes the compare sheet's delta ribbon so CRITICAL
net-positive deltas render in destructive (not warning) tone. Backend parses
the JSON policy_evaluation column at the API boundary so the UI receives a
structured object.

* chore(security): suppress CVE-2026-32281 and CVE-2026-32283 in Trivy scan

Both CVEs affect Go stdlib crypto/x509 and TLS in Docker CLI 29.4.0
(Go 1.26.1) and Compose v5.1.2 (Go 1.25.8). No upstream static binary
has been released with the patched Go 1.26.2 or 1.25.9 runtimes yet.

Exposure analysis: the Docker CLI and compose plugin connect to the local
Docker socket (Unix socket, no TLS) and to public registries with well-known
CAs. Neither CVE is exploitable in this configuration. Added alongside
sibling entries already in .trivyignore for the same binary versions.

Revisit on next Docker CLI and Compose upstream release.

Anso d95e154aeb feat(fleet): interactive topology with ReactFlow hub-and-spoke layout (#713)
Replace the static SVG fleet topology with a ReactFlow canvas laid out
via dagre. Each node renders as a rack card with status pill, type
badge, CPU/MEM/DISK bars, and stack/running counts. Pan, zoom, drag,
and minimap are enabled; user-dragged positions persist across the
30-second poll so live metric updates no longer reset layout.
2026-04-20 16:16:02 -04:00
Anso e721742560 feat(ui): redesign node switcher as sidebar identity anchor (#694)
Replace the inline Select in the sidebar with a dedicated NodeSwitcher
component that always renders as an identity card, regardless of node
count. With two or more nodes it opens a Popover listing every node
with status dot, type, version, last-seen metadata, and an active-row
accent rail, matching the design language of the user menu and
notification panel.

Extract the relative-time formatters out of NodeManager into a shared
@/lib/relativeTime module with formatTimeUntil and formatTimeAgo, and
add a 'just now' / '<1m' branch so fresh heartbeats and imminent runs
read naturally.

Anso 4722028904 feat(mfa): UX hardening — auto-submit, paste tolerance, low-codes warning, dev-mode diagnostics (#620)
* feat(mfa): auto-submit 6-digit TOTPs and normalize pasted backup codes

Match the UX every major MFA prompt has (GitHub, GitLab, 1Password): the
challenge screen and every code-entry dialog now submit automatically once
the sixth TOTP digit lands, and the backup-code input accepts pastes with
smart-dashes, trailing whitespace, or mixed case without silently
truncating the value. Also caps the backup-code input at the correct
11 characters (10 plus a single separator) instead of 12.

Shared normalization helpers live in frontend/src/lib/mfa.ts so the
challenge and the three account-settings dialogs stay in lockstep.

* feat(mfa): warn users when backup codes run low

The Account & Security card silently showed a dim count of backup codes
remaining, which meant users could drift toward zero without noticing
until their phone was already lost. The card now surfaces a warning tone
with an alert icon when 1 or 2 codes remain, and swaps to a dedicated
destructive warning card with a "Regenerate now" action when the user
has used every code.

* feat(mfa): gate diagnostic logs behind developer mode

Reuses the existing isDebugEnabled() gate so operators investigating a
2FA support ticket can flip Developer Mode on to get per-branch
diagnostics (login path taken, replay check outcome, failure counter
after a verify, replay-table purge counts), and flip it back off when
they are done. Standard lifecycle logs stay on by default: enrolment
completed, 2FA disabled, backup codes regenerated, admin reset, SSO
bypass toggled, lockout engaged. Nothing that could reveal a TOTP code,
base32 secret, backup-code cleartext, or partial-auth JWT is ever
logged.

* test(mfa): cover drift, invalid formats, lockout recovery, and paste normalization

Backend: a TOTP generated for a window that has already slid out is
rejected, malformed backup codes (too short, non-alphanumeric, 11-char
alphanumeric that matches no hash) all increment failed_attempts, a
successful verify clears a below-threshold failure streak, a successful
verify after locked_until has passed clears the lockout, a second
enroll/start overwrites the prior pending secret, and the backup-code
normalizer treats en-dash/em-dash/figure-dash with stray whitespace the
same as the canonical form.

E2E: low-backup-codes warning renders in the warning tone and the
exhausted-codes state flips to the dedicated warning card, a 6-digit
TOTP auto-submits without a button click, and a backup code pasted
without the separator still signs in.

* docs(mfa): auto-submit, paste guidance, and expanded troubleshooting

Document that the challenge screen submits automatically on the sixth
digit, that backup codes accept the separator and any case, and that
the Account & Security card nudges at low code counts. Expands the
troubleshooting section with entries for lost or exhausted backup codes
and adds a short note to the admin guide about surfacing auth
diagnostics via Developer Mode.

Anso c4ff58347e fix(container-exec): harden with security fixes, validation, and test coverage (#577)
* fix(container-exec): harden with security fixes, validation, and test coverage

- Enforce admin role at WebSocket upgrade for container exec sessions
- Validate container is running before creating exec
- Fix bash-to-sh fallback (move .start() inside try/catch)
- Register container-exec as a capability for fleet visibility
- Add standard and diagnostic logging for exec lifecycle
- Fix false Admiral license claim in API docs
- Fix design system violations in BashExecModal (hardcoded colors)
- Remove duplicate legacy xterm dependencies
- Add 18-test suite covering auth, validation, fallback, and cleanup

* fix(container-exec): use correct Duplex type for exec stream

The stream variable was typed as NodeJS.ReadWriteStream, which lacks
.destroy(). Dockerode's Exec.start() returns stream.Duplex per its
type definitions. This caused tsc to fail while Vitest (which skips
full type checking) passed.

- Clean up orphaned 'running' records on scheduler startup
- Auto-disable tasks when cron expression becomes invalid at execution time
- Promote CRUD debug logs to standard logs for scheduled task admin actions
- Add diagnostic logging for task pre-checks, action timing, and prune fallback

* refactor(scheduling): extract shared types and fix design system violations

- Extract ScheduledTask, TaskRun, NodeOption to shared types file
- Extract getCronDescription and formatTimestamp to shared utilities
- Fix formatTimestamp falsy-zero null check
- Tighten last_status type to 'success' | 'failure' | null
- Add strokeWidth={1.5} to all action icons per design system
- Add sr-only DialogDescription for accessibility
- Wrap Sheet run history in ScrollArea
- Fix delete button styling to match design system pattern
- Change manual trigger toast from "executed" to "triggered"

* test(scheduler): add tests for snapshot, remote update, stale cleanup, and cron invalidation

- Add stale run cleanup tests (bulk markStaleRunsAsFailed, logging)
- Add cron invalidation test (auto-disable, error message)
- Add executeSnapshot tests (fleet capture, empty stacks)
- Add executeUpdateRemote tests (proxy success, remote error)
- Document stale run cleanup and cron auto-disable in troubleshooting docs

- Add admin role enforcement to update trigger and update-all endpoints
- Add missing error field in rejected-promise fallback for update-status
- Fix rejected promises in update-all losing node names
- Harden frontend recheck button with try/catch/finally error handling
- Align frontend isValidVersion with stricter regex validation
- Add diagnostic logging gated behind developer_mode
- Extract resolveTracker helper to centralize terminal state transitions
- Add 15 new fleet test cases covering auth, tier gating, input validation, and admin roles
- Document admin requirement and troubleshooting in fleet-view docs

Anso a74a516850 fix(logs): harden global logs with shared parsing, SSE fixes, and level filter (#539)
- Extract log parsing utilities (normalizeContainerName, parseLogTimestamp,
detectLogLevel, stripControlChars, demuxDockerLog) to shared module,
eliminating duplication between polling and SSE endpoints
- Fix timestamp regex to accept timezone offsets (+HH:MM/-HH:MM), not just Z
- Replace any[] with typed GlobalLogEntry interface
- Add SSE heartbeat (30s) to prevent reverse proxy timeouts
- Add X-Accel-Buffering: no header for nginx SSE compatibility
- Replace swallowed catch blocks with console.warn diagnostics
- Fix SSE not reconnecting on node switch (missing dep in effect array)
- Add settings change event so devMode/pollRate updates apply without remount
- Add log level filter (ALL/ERROR/WARN/INFO) to toolbar
- Replace overflow-auto div with ScrollArea for design system compliance
- Add strokeWidth={1.5} to all toolbar icons
- Include stack name in download format
- Surface fetch errors with inline banner
- Add 39 unit tests for all log parsing utilities
- Update docs with level filter documentation and refreshed screenshot

Anso 3ee4fe6e44 feat(topology): overhaul network topology with dagre layout, enriched nodes, and click-to-logs (#447)
Replace N+1 Docker API calls (inspectNetwork per network) with a
container-centric approach that fetches all networks and containers
in 2 parallel calls, then maps relationships in memory.

Add dagre auto-layout algorithm for hierarchical DAG visualization,
replacing the static two-row layout that caused edge spaghetti at scale.

Add "Show system networks" toggle, enrich container nodes with running
state indicators, stack badges, and base image names. Clicking a
running container opens its log viewer directly from the topology graph.

Anso a55d1245f8 fix(fleet): resolve version detection pipeline for Docker builds (#402)
* fix(fleet): resolve version detection pipeline for Docker builds

The Dockerfile backend-builder stage was missing a COPY of the root
package.json, causing generate-version.js to fall back to "0.0.0-dev"
at build time. At runtime, the filesystem walk also failed (root
package.json not in the final image), producing the string "unknown"
which the frontend rendered as "vunknown".

Changes:
- Dockerfile: copy root package.json into backend-builder stage
- CapabilityRegistry: return null (not "unknown") for unresolvable
versions; add isValidVersion() type guard; normalize remote meta
responses to strip "unknown"/"0.0.0-dev" sentinel values
- Fleet endpoints: hoist gateway version validation outside per-node
loops; treat unresolvable remote versions as "potentially outdated"
instead of silently marking them up to date
- FleetView: guard all version display points (card badge, update
button, gateway label, modal columns) via shared formatVersion()
- EditorLayout, CapabilityGate: use shared isValidVersion utility
- New frontend/src/lib/version.ts shared utility
- Docs: add troubleshooting section for version display edge cases
- Screenshots: updated Fleet Overview and Node Updates modal

Anso 87b5908288 feat(fleet): add remote node update management (#353)
Add the ability to check for outdated nodes and trigger over-the-air
updates from Fleet View. Nodes self-update by pulling the latest Docker
image and recreating their container via the "last breath" pattern.

Backend:
- SelfUpdateService: self-container identification via HOSTNAME + Docker
Compose labels, triggers pull + force-recreate
- CapabilityRegistry: runtime capability disabling via disableCapability()
- POST /api/system/update (202 + deferred self-update)
- GET /api/fleet/update-status (version comparison across fleet)
- POST /api/fleet/nodes/:nodeId/update (single node)
- POST /api/fleet/update-all (bulk remote update)
- In-memory update tracker with 5-min timeout

Frontend:
- Node Updates modal with summary stats, search filter, table layout,
per-node Update buttons, and bulk Update All
- Version badges and update-available indicators on node cards
- ReconnectingOverlay for local node updates (polls /api/health)
- 5s fast-poll when any node is actively updating
- UpdateStatusBadge shared component for consistent badge rendering

Requires Skipper (Pro) tier. Nodes must be deployed via Docker Compose
with Docker socket access.

Anso ee75811e25 feat(nodes): add capability-based node compatibility negotiation (#350)
* feat(nodes): add capability-based node compatibility negotiation

Each Sencho instance now exposes /api/meta with its version and supported
capabilities. When the user switches nodes, the frontend fetches this
metadata and disables features the remote node doesn't support via a
CapabilityGate overlay. Version is shown in the node switcher dropdown
and connection test results.

- Backend: CapabilityRegistry with static capability list and fetchRemoteMeta helper
- Backend: /api/meta (public) and /api/nodes/:id/meta (auth) endpoints
- Frontend: NodeContext enhanced with per-node meta caching (5min TTL)
- Frontend: CapabilityGate component with typed Capability union
- Frontend: 13 features wrapped with capability gates
- Docs: node-compatibility.mdx + OpenAPI spec updates

* fix(nodes): revert to require() for package.json version reading

The static import fails in the Docker multi-stage build because the
root package.json is not copied into the backend-builder stage. The
require() call resolves at runtime when the file is available.

Anso 7637091e84 feat(ui): glassmorphism redesign with settings decomposition (#274)
* feat(ui): add glassmorphism design tokens and utility classes

Introduce glass design system foundation: translucent oklch color
variables for both light and dark themes, glass/glass-border/glass-highlight
tokens, semantic status colors (success/warning/info), .glass and
.glass-strong utility classes with backdrop-filter, reduced shadow
values, and standardized spring animation presets in lib/motion.ts.

* feat(ui): apply glass treatment to core components

Update card, dialog, input, button, popover, sheet, tooltip,
dropdown-menu, context-menu, select, alert-dialog, and tabs
components with glassmorphism styling: translucent backgrounds via
new CSS variables, backdrop-blur layers, glass-border luminous
edges, and glass-highlight hover states.

* refactor(settings): decompose Settings Modal into section components

Extract 10 inline sections from the 1,987-line SettingsModal into
dedicated files under components/settings/. Introduce section
registry pattern replacing 14 conditional blocks. Add shared types,
sidebar navigation grouping with separators, glass treatment on
sidebar and nav buttons, and responsive modal height. SettingsModal
shell shrinks to ~380 lines.

* refactor(ui): unify all tabs to animate-ui TabsHighlight with glass styling

Migrate 4 tab instances (EditorLayout, FleetView, ResourcesView,
NotificationsSection) from inconsistent patterns (manual layoutId,
underline border-b-2, default fade) to the shared TabsHighlight
primitive with glass-highlight indicator and springs.snappy
transition. Standardize EditorLayout nav highlight spring config,
apply glass-highlight to sidebar stack list hover/active states,
and update mobile nav styling.

* refactor(ui): migrate hardcoded colors to semantic CSS variables

Replace hardcoded Tailwind color classes across ~19 component files
with semantic CSS variable classes: emerald/green to success,
orange/amber to warning, blue to info. Preserves brand/decorative
colors (Crown amber, Admiral blue). Enables consistent theming of
status indicators across the entire application.

* refactor(ui): Linear dark precision aesthetic — solid surfaces, depth cues, text hierarchy

Replace glassmorphism with Linear.app-inspired design: solid surface tokens
(card #111111, sidebar #0d0d0d, root #0a0a0a), backdrop-blur restricted to
floating overlays only (blur(10px) saturate(1.15)), desaturated teal accent,
font-weight 500 everywhere, monochrome chart palette, and three depth cues:
root ambient glow, luminous card top-edge, steep text brightness ramp.

* refactor(ui): precision polish — fix muddy dark, snowblind light, add design anchors

- Replace 34 hardcoded rgba values with theme-aware stat-* CSS tokens
- Fix light theme: solid white cards, off-white background, readable text
- Add card-border tokens with sharper directional lighting (top edge 2x)
- Add chart-grid/chart-tick tokens for theme-aware axis rendering
- Upgrade body glow: teal-tinted (dark), warm amber (light)
- Terminal-inspired sidebar: monospaced UP/DN status codes, Geist Mono
- Add tabular-nums to stat values to prevent layout jitter
- Light mode cards get shadow-sm for depth against off-white background

* refactor(ui): Linear materiality pass — ghosted nav, translucent sidebar, font unity

- De-escalate Delete button from solid destructive to ghost with hover fill
- Make sidebar translucent (80% opacity + backdrop-blur) so body glow bleeds through
- Bump dark nav accent to 0.07 for ghosted backlit selection
- Unify all terminal/editor fonts to Geist Mono (was JetBrains/Consolas mix)
- Add Monaco editor fontFamily for YAML/env editing consistency
- Add threshold-based color to Host RAM and Host Disk stat values (warn/crit)

* refactor(ui): material simulation — inherent depth, layer separation, recessed terminal

- Bump dark background 0.065→0.08, card surfaces 0.10→0.12 for 4% layer separation
- Add card-bevel token (inset top shimmer) for permanent structural depth
- Add button-inner-glow token for physical key feel on outline buttons
- Recess terminal with inset shadow and dimmed label
- Reduce action icon strokeWidth to 1.5 for refined industrial feel
- Add teal LED backlight bar on active nav item via blur pseudo-element

* fix(ui): parse usagePercent string to number for getValueColor

usagePercent is typed as string in SystemStats but getValueColor
expects number, causing TS2345 in CI builds.

Anso 32a7d53b2b feat: RBAC, atomic deployments, fleet backups, and licensing (Pro) (#185)
* feat: add RBAC viewer accounts, atomic deployments, and fleet-wide backups (Pro)

Introduces three Pro-tier features:

- RBAC: Multi-user system with admin/viewer roles, user management UI,
automatic migration from single-admin credentials, viewer restrictions
across the entire UI (read-only editor, hidden action buttons)

- Atomic Deployments: Pre-deploy file backup to .sencho-backup/, automatic
rollback on health probe failure, manual rollback button, health probes
added to stack updates, webhook-triggered deploys use atomic rollback

- Fleet-Wide Backups: Point-in-time snapshots of compose files across all
nodes (local + remote), stored centrally in SQLite, per-stack restore
with optional redeploy, graceful handling of offline nodes

* fix(settings): use correct ProGate prop name in UsersSection

* fix(settings): remove unused isPro prop from UsersSection

* fix(auth): fetch user info after login and setup so isAdmin is set correctly

* feat(pricing): revise pricing strategy and enforce variant-based seat limits

Raise Personal Pro from $49/yr to $69/yr with 3 viewer seats (up from 1).
Add $15/mo billing option for Team Pro. Mark lifetime pricing as a
90-day early-adopter offer. Store Lemon Squeezy variant_name on
activation/validation and enforce seat limits server-side per variant.

* feat(licensing): add Lemon Squeezy checkout, webhook, and billing portal integration

Server-side checkout URL generation (POST /api/checkout) with admin email
pre-fill and instance_id custom data. HMAC-SHA256 verified webhook endpoint
(POST /api/webhooks/lemonsqueezy) handling order, subscription, and payment
lifecycle events for automatic license activation. Customer billing portal
link stored from webhook events and exposed via GET /api/billing/portal.
In-app checkout buttons in Settings with manual license key fallback.

* fix(licensing): exempt Lemon Squeezy webhook from auth middleware

The catch-all auth middleware on /api/* was blocking the public webhook
endpoint. Added /webhooks/lemonsqueezy to the exemption list alongside
/auth/* and /webhooks/:id/trigger.

* feat(pricing): update pricing to final live rates

Personal Pro: $7.99/month, $69.99/year, $249 lifetime.
Team Pro: $49.99/month, $499.99/year, $1,499 lifetime.
Added personal_monthly checkout variant across backend, frontend, and website.

* refactor(licensing): remove server-side checkout/webhook for self-hosted model

Sencho is self-hosted — each user runs their own instance, so there is
no central server to receive webhooks or hold the store API key. Replaced
in-app checkout buttons with a "View Pricing" redirect to sencho.io and
kept manual license key activation as the primary flow.

- Delete LemonSqueezyService (checkout, webhook, HMAC verification)
- Remove POST /api/checkout, GET /api/billing/portal, POST /api/webhooks/lemonsqueezy
- Remove raw body parser and auth exemption for webhook route
- Remove all LEMONSQUEEZY_* env vars from .env.example
- Replace checkout buttons in SettingsModal with single "View Pricing" button
- Simplify LicenseContext checkout to open sencho.io pricing page
- Update licensing docs to reflect website-based purchase flow

* chore: normalize em-dashes to hyphens across codebase (linter)

* chore: remove accidentally tracked directories from index

SaelixCode aeefd79b50 fix(proxy): prevent remote 401 from triggering local session logout
- Add x-sencho-proxy sentinel header to all proxied responses so
the frontend can distinguish remote auth failures from local session
expiry, breaking the logout loop when a node's api_token expires
- Add authMiddleware to all 5 /api/notifications endpoints that were
  missing protection (default-deny policy enforcement)
- Expand CSP to include connectSrc ws:/wss: and workerSrc blob:
for WebSocket and Monaco editor worker support
