Hauser 8b75145a29 fix(s3): preserve catalog lock failures at the error boundary (#8550) ...

Retain typed retryable catalog lock failures and route S3 publication
errors through the canonical storage conversion for bounded metrics,
public-message redaction, and existing retry advice.

Borrow CAS results for metrics instead of cloning opaque error sources.
Cover authorization under a real publication writer, HTTP serialization,
source preservation, recovery, and established catalog error categories.
