houseme 152f110583 revert: rollback AHashMap changes and keep using std HashMap (#6741)
* Revert "perf(ecstore): use AHashMap for FileInfo metadata fields (#6738)"

This reverts commit 13a2ae212e.

* fix(filemeta): restore standard HashMap metadata (#6742)

Remove the direct ahash dependency added for FileInfo metadata and revert the affected filemeta/ecstore call sites back to std::collections::HashMap.

hector d9080ae77f test(pool): cover rebalance retry and cold-start recovery (#6720)
* test(pool): fix warp log path and retry rebalance start

- warp writes now use a unique mktemp log file instead of a fixed
/tmp/rustfs-warp.log: the runner user could not write the stale
root-owned file, which made the background warp process die instantly
(warp never ran). The workflow uploads /tmp/rustfs-warp.*.log.
- rebalance start is retried (6x, 20s apart): nightly builds gate
rebalance activation on a live cross-pool fence fleet capability proof
that takes ~10-20s to re-establish after a pool joins. Verified live:
attempt 1 fails with 500 'pool activation requires a live fleet
  capability proof', attempt 2 succeeds.

* test(pool): annotate known server-side issues in failure output

When a node fails to start, grab the rustfs journal tail and match known
server-side error signatures (e.g. the fleet capability proof cold-start
regression, rustfs/backlog#2031), printing a hint with the tracking issue.
Also annotate the rebalance-start retry exhaustion and the rc.3 decommission
metacache-listing failure with actionable guidance.

* fix(ecstore): defer rebalance activation without fleet proof

Zhengchao An 18cde00fad fix(ecstore): retry decommission entries safely on source changes (#6419)
A single object's SourceChanged during decommission cleanup no longer
cancels the shared worker token and fails the whole pool operation.
Cleanup preflight and source-cleanup outcomes now retry per entry with
bounded attempts and cancellation-aware backoff, applied uniformly to
ordinary versions, delete markers, and tiered copies (removing the
try-once-only branches); every retry re-lists the entry and redoes
version multiset validation before touching the source. Only quorum
loss, unrecoverable system errors, or exceeding a pool-level
SourceChanged exhaustion threshold still fails the decommission, and
exhausted entries never delete their source versions.

Retry attempts, backoff, and deferred/exhausted reasons are logged per
entry for observability. Heavy regression tests spawn on dedicated
32MiB stacks following the existing store-test pattern.

Zhengchao An c442c543d3 fix(ecstore): merge peer pool meta reload monotonically (#6392)
The peer reload_pool_meta handler blindly replaced in-memory pool
metadata with the persisted snapshot, so a delayed or out-of-order
reload could roll back newer local queued/canceled/failed/complete
decommission state, and a missing pool.bin wiped local state to an
empty default.

Route peer reload through the same monotonic merge used by the admin
status refresh (merge_pool_status_refresh): entries are replaced only
when strictly newer and no local worker is active; missing snapshots
fail closed. The helper now reports whether any entry was replaced or
appended, and rejected stale/missing reloads are logged. The RPC
handler spawns missing decommission workers only after a reload
actually merged newer state, so duplicate deliveries cannot start
workers for an older generation.

Zhengchao An 99c3811d93 fix(ecstore): classify decommission stage failures by type, not by message (#6269)
T2 of backlog#1827. `data_movement_stage_error` flattened every stage failure into `Error::other(format!(...))`, discarding the typed error. The cost was visible in tree: `is_decommission_target_capacity_error` had to match rendered text —

    let message = err.to_string();
    message.contains(&disk_full) || message.contains(&storage_full)

— to notice that the destination pool had filled up, and `is_decommission_copy_cleanup_safe_error` could not see a not-found that surfaced from inside a stage at all.

The wrapper now carries what it wrapped. `DataMovementStageError` renders the same string and returns the original through `source()`; `Error::other` boxes it through `std::io::Error`, so `data_movement_stage_source` recovers it by downcast. Both classifiers unwrap before matching, keeping their substring paths for errors that arrive through some other wrapper.

The rendered message is unchanged, which a test now pins against the exact string the old `format!` produced rather than against a `contains`. Three more cover the round trip for `DiskFull`, `StorageFull`, `FileNotFound` and `SlowDown`, that unrelated errors are not mistaken for stage wrappers, and — the case the issue names — that a not-found surfacing from inside a stage is judged cleanup-safe by the decommission loop exactly as a direct one is.

houseme 360bceafce feat(heal): add progress and trace observability (#6179)
* feat(heal): track erasure set progress baseline

Record erasure-set heal byte progress from per-object results and seed progress totals from complete usage-cache snapshots when available.

Keep usage-cache failures observational so heal execution continues without a baseline.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* feat(heal): skip filtered erasure set versions

Skip erasure-set versions written after the durable heal start time, and queue lifecycle-expired versions for expiry before skipping them.

Track new-version and ILM-expired skips separately so progress can explain completed baseline work without treating these skips as retry-blocking failures.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* feat(heal): wire abandoned data-dir cleanup check

Connect check_abandoned_parts through ECStore, pool, and set layers so heal can invoke the existing orphan data-dir reclaim path instead of returning NotImplemented.

Add dry-run support to the reclaim scan and cover dry-run plus scoped set behavior with regression tests.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* feat(obs): add heal scanner trace bus

Introduce an in-process broadcast trace bus with typed heal and scanner events, lazy event construction, and bounded lagged-subscriber behavior.

Cover zero-subscriber publishing, subscription delivery, drop accounting, and lagged receivers with focused common-crate tests.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* feat(obs): stream heal trace events from admin API

Wire the admin trace endpoint to the common trace bus for heal/scanner events, including kind, regex, and threshold filtering.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* feat(obs): emit heal trace events

Publish heal task lifecycle and abandoned-parts cleanup events through the common trace bus so the admin trace stream has live heal diagnostics.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* feat(obs): emit scanner trace events

Publish scanner folder, lifecycle action, and heal-candidate events through the common trace bus for live admin scanner diagnostics.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* fix(heal): route data usage loader through storage api

Keep ECStore data-usage facade access behind the heal storage_api boundary so architecture migration guards can validate the heal progress path.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* perf(heal): avoid lifecycle snapshots on ordinary heal pages

Only request lifecycle object snapshots when the heal pass has lifecycle expiry context. This keeps ordinary listing and disk-walk pages from cloning FileInfo/ObjectInfo payloads while preserving the skip path that queues expired versions.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* test(heal): update bug-fix mocks for lifecycle snapshots

Carry the lifecycle snapshot opt-in argument through the remaining heal bug-fix test mocks so all-targets clippy covers the updated storage trait.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* test(rustfs): sync heal storage mock signature

Update the rustfs storage RPC test mock for the lifecycle snapshot opt-in argument and cover it with rustfs all-targets clippy.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* test(e2e): allocate smoke ports across nextest processes

Serialize E2E port selection with a small /tmp allocator so nextest workers do not reuse the same just-released ephemeral port before RustFS binds it.

Zhengchao An 7cb91a0190 chore(ecstore): adjudicate 32 bare dead_code allows (#6173)
Replace every bare `#[allow(dead_code)]` in ecstore with either a deletion or a per-item allow carrying a `reason`. Blanket allows at module, struct, and impl level silence the lint for future members too, so each is narrowed to the members that are actually dead.

Delete the dead cluster in `config/heal.rs` (`Config`, its three methods, `RUSTFS_BITROT_CYCLE_IN_MONTHS`, `parse_bitrot_config`) rather than annotate it: it has no callers and is unreachable outside the crate, and `parse_bitrot_config` would panic on its disabled path via `Duration::from_secs_f64(-1.0)`. `DEFAULT_KVS` stays, since the config registry uses it.

Correct two `reason` strings on `Checksum::new` and `PutObjReader::md5_current_hex_string`, which are methods but carried a field-only rationale.

* feat(admin): expose replacement recovery status

Surface the local durable replacement recovery snapshot in the background heal status response so operators can tell whether replacement cleanup is definitive or still pending.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* fix(heal): keep replacement status compatible

Keep the existing background heal status response wire-compatible while retaining the Linux mount lease cleanup needed for the replacement recovery branch.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* style(ecstore): match linux mount lease formatting

Keep Linux rustfmt output stable for the replacement mount lease comparison.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* fix(ecstore): qualify mount lease test constant

Use the disk module path for the format config constant in the Linux mount lease regression test.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* fix(ecstore): keep procfd mount roots directory-safe

Use a procfd path with an explicit directory component so Unix directory guards can open the replacement mount lease root with O_NOFOLLOW while preserving handle-relative I/O semantics.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* fix(ecstore): delete empty leased buckets via dirfd

Use the held mount lease fd as the parent for non-force empty bucket deletion on Linux so procfd-rooted paths do not get rejected as BucketNotEmpty. Also make the download-part OpenOptions truncate behavior explicit and keep fsync test recording stable across procfd canonicalization.

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* fix(ecstore): scan leased bucket paths for emptiness

Use the local disk I/O root for bucket emptiness probes before non-force bucket deletion and table-bucket metadata checks. This keeps validation on the same mount instance as the subsequent local disk delete path.

* fix(heal): classify flat replacement intent corruption

Co-Authored-By: heihutu <heihutu@gmail.com>

* fix(heal): keep transient resume loads retryable

Classify malformed legacy replacement state as blocking corruption while preserving disk and transient load failures for retry. This avoids permanently blocking replacement recovery on temporary storage errors.
