Zhengchao An 45f706b274 test(iam): pin the policy-to-iam error mapping and record the fold verdict (#6635)
Backlog#1845 step 8 conclusion. The plan called for folding iam::Error into a policy::Error #[from] wrapper and deleting the hand-written mapping. Measurement rejected the fold: the duplicated variants have ~220 construction/match sites (about 140 in production) across iam and the admin handlers - all auth-critical - and the alias route is blocked by the orphan rule (iam's From<IamStorageError> and io conversions cannot be implemented for a foreign type). Meanwhile the drift risk the fold targeted is already compiler-covered: the From match is exhaustive with no catch-all, so any new policy variant fails the build until mapped.

What remains of the step, delivered: the six dead policy variants are gone (previous commit), the grouped lossy arm is down to the two variants actually produced, a doc comment on the From impl records the verdict with the evidence, and a new totality test constructs one representative of every policy::error::Error variant and asserts the conversion preserves the rendered message - so the mapping is now pinned loss-free in both directions the classifiers care about.

Zhengchao An b610d5a55d fix(policy): remove six dead error variants (#6631)
Backlog#1845 step 8 prerequisite. policy::error::Error carried six variants with zero construction and zero match sites anywhere in the workspace: ErrCredMalformed, CredNotInitialized, NoAccessKey, InvalidToken, InvalidAccessKey, InvalidExpiration. Their only reference was the grouped fallthrough arm in iam's From<policy::error::Error>, whose own dead same-name twins were already removed in backlog#1831 (#6030).

Delete the variants and their display-message test rows; the iam mapping's grouped arm shrinks from eight variants to the two that are actually produced (InvalidServiceType from service_type parsing, JWTError via #[from]). This clears the way for folding the remaining 25-arm hand-written mapping (backlog#1845 step 8).

iam::Error mirrored policy::Error variant-for-variant, and eight of the twins had zero construction and zero match sites anywhere in the workspace: InvalidServiceType, ErrCredMalformed, CredNotInitialized, JWTError, NoAccessKey, InvalidToken, InvalidAccessKey, InvalidExpiration (each verified by repo-wide sweep; the InvalidToken hits elsewhere are KeystoneError's unrelated variant). Delete the variants along with their Clone and PartialEq arms.

The From<policy::Error> mapping keeps its exhaustive match: the eight orphaned arms now route through a grouped binding to Error::StringError(err.to_string()), so the rendered message is preserved; nothing could observe the old discriminants because no site ever matched on them.

* fix(iam): make Error clone variant-preserving via Arc payloads

iam::Error's hand-written Clone demoted PolicyError and CryptoError to StringError because their payloads are not cloneable — a clone changed the variant identity. There is no production clone site today (the issue's refuter confirmed this is preventive hardening, not a live bug), but any future holder of a cloned error would match the wrong variant.

The two payloads are now Arc-wrapped, so Clone is a cheap reference bump that keeps the variant. Display strings are unchanged ({0} and crypto: {0}); the #[from] derives become manual From impls wrapping in Arc; the one behavioral trade-off is that source() is no longer forwarded for these two variants (Arc<E> does not implement std::error::Error), which nothing in the workspace consumed. A regression test pins discriminant and rendered message across clone for the hard-to-clone variants.

Zhengchao An 31c6859965 chore: converge stale TODOs and apply safe fills (backlog#646) (#4322)
Second TODO-convergence round over the current tree (backlog#646). All
line numbers in the old inventory had gone stale after the set_disk /
diagnostics / cluster refactors, so this re-scans and reduces the marker
count from 144 to 99.

STALE removals (comment describes already-implemented behavior, or dead
commented-out blocks) across ecstore (set_disk ops/core, store,
cluster/rpc, bucket/metadata_sys, services), iam, filemeta, s3select and
rustfs auth/object_usecase. No behavior change.

Safe fills, each verified:
- filemeta: replication_info_equals now also compares
  replication_state_internal (function currently has no callers; adds a
  regression test).
- bitrot: drop the confirmed-unused `_want` parameter from bitrot_verify
  and the now-unused `sum` on LocalDisk::bitrot_verify, removing a
  Bytes::copy_from_slice allocation. Streaming verify uses the file's
  embedded per-shard hash, never the passed sum.
- signer: rename v4_ignored_headers -> V4_IGNORED_HEADERS and drop the
  non_upper_case_globals allow.
- admin/heal: test_decode was #[ignore]d and used serde_urlencoded on a
  JSON body (would panic); rewire to serde_json::from_slice to match the
  production decode path, add assertions, un-ignore.

Verified: cargo fmt; cargo check on touched crates; tests pass
(filemeta, signer, bitrot, heal::test_decode); arch guardrail scripts
pass.
