Hover readouts that change the layout around them make a chart bounce while a person scrubs it, and no existing check sees it: the visual patrol takes settled screenshots, and the specs that hover assert state, not geometry. The probe steps the pointer across drawer history charts, workload row sparklines and platform table rows, and at every step compares the boxes of the surrounding structure (the hovered element, its ancestors and their neighbours, the table header and next row) with the box taken before the pointer arrived. It then holds the pointer through live updates, and records layout-shift entries throughout, ignoring fixed overlays such as tooltips. A finding names the surface, phase, step, landmark and delta, and the readout text before and after. On main it finds the drawer History chart header (guest Disk I/O and Network I/O, node Thermals) at 1440px: "Latest stored" wraps the readouts to a second line at rest, "Stored" fits on one under the pointer, so the plot jumps 20px. A control build with a non-wrapping header passes. It lands in probation because it is red on arrival; it earns stable under the promotion rule once that header is fixed.
