rcourtman cccb43ecdf Apply operator links in the mock-mode unified view
In mock mode the websocket broadcast and /api/state serve a view of the
fixture graph, and the fixture graph was built in a registry with no
store, so it never loaded the operator's manual links. The resources API
seeds its own store-backed registry from that list and applied them, so
a standalone agent linked into a VM showed merged in /api/resources and
stayed a separate row in the broadcast, even after a restart. Peers
verifying link UI on mock stacks had to block the websocket to see it.

The mock view now builds the fixture graph with the links the monitor
adapter's current registry generation loaded (MonitorAdapter.ManualLinks),
through NewRegistryWithManualLinks: a registry with those links and no
store, so fixture ingest cannot persist identity pins, successions or
change rows. The links apply at each ingest stage, as in the live
rebuild, so an availability check that names the folded resource by
source still projects onto the primary. Without links the shared
memoized snapshot is used as before.

The cached view is keyed on the fixture version and the link list, so a
link change rebuilds it without a fixture tick. Its freshness, which the
resources API keys its registry cache on, is assigned in publication
order: a view with the published fixture freshness and links keeps the
published value, and any other view gets a later one than every view
before it.

The fence view behind currentModeReadState still omits links; it only
covers the window after leaving mock mode, before the registry rebuilds.

Pulse documentation

Start here for installation, platform setup, security, operations, and Pulse Intelligence. Commands, configuration keys, image names, API fields, and product identifiers remain untranslated in localized guides.

Start here

  • Install Pulse — signed Proxmox/Linux installation, Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, and first-run setup.
  • Production deployment and security — least-privilege Proxmox setup, root-agent boundaries, discovery, supply-chain verification, plan limits, scale evidence, and a rollout checklist.
  • Upgrade from Pulse v5 — migration prerequisites, rollback, agent continuity, and post-upgrade checks.
  • Releases and update channels: choosing Stable or Preview, beta and RC expectations, and how releases are tested and promoted.
  • Configure Pulse — authentication, notifications, discovery, retention, and system settings.
  • Deployment models — data locations, lifecycle, and differences between supported deployment paths.
  • Troubleshooting and FAQ — common failures, diagnostics, and operator questions.

Platforms and agents

VMware vSphere support is early access. Current builds expose dedicated vSphere inventory and recovery context, but operators should validate the integration against their own vCenter before production use.

Monitoring and operations

Pulse Intelligence

Patrol watch-only analysis is available on Community with a local model or the operator's own provider. Investigation and governed fixes require the relevant Pulse Pro capabilities.

Security, privacy, and access

Plans and managed access

Pulse Cloud is not generally available. Ordinary self-hosted Pulse remains the primary installation path; MSP and Enterprise access are explicit commercial paths rather than defaults in self-hosted setup.

Development and reference

Detailed design notes and dated migration specifications may remain in this directory for maintainers, but they are not operator setup guides unless they are linked from the sections above.
