Every disk heat judge follows the per-type disk temperature policy (NVMe 70C, SAS 65C, SATA 55C, under the agent Disk Temp default) except TrueNAS disk temperature alerts, which used a flat 55/50 TrueNAS Disks default. A TrueNAS NVMe at 60C raised a warning while the TrueNAS storage table, Physical Disks and Patrol called it fine, the false NVMe alert #1388 removed for agent disks. TrueNAS disks now resolve their trigger per disk type unless the user saved a TrueNAS-wide value, which still applies to every TrueNAS disk; a per-disk override beats both. Saved configs keep a chosen value: a stored 55/50 is dropped only from configs written before the new truenasDiskTemperatureByType marker, because the thresholds page wrote that factory value back on every save. Alerts record their disk type so a config save re-judges them per type, and a retained reading no longer raises one. The TrueNAS Disks Global Defaults cell reads "By type" while unset (Off when the agent default switches the policy off), each disk row shows its type's trigger, and Off is written as trigger 0. The shared alert table now reads its props reactively, so the Custom badge and reset control follow a config that loads after the table mounts. The TrueNAS disk drawer tones a current reading by the same per-type trigger instead of a fixed 55C.

- Docker and Podman
- Kubernetes and Helm
- TrueNAS SCALE and CORE
- Unified Agent
- Agent security
- VM disk monitoring
- ZFS monitoring

VMware vSphere support is early access. Current builds expose dedicated vSphere inventory and recovery context, but operators should validate the integration against their own vCenter before production use.
Monitoring and operations

Pulse Intelligence
- Assistant, Patrol, and external-agent overview
- Patrol modes and safety
- Assistant safety model
- External agent HTTP and MCP substrate
Patrol watch-only analysis is available on Community with a local model or the operator's own provider. Investigation and governed fixes require the relevant Pulse Pro capabilities.
Security, privacy, and access
- Production deployment and security
- Security review scope
- Authentication and credential storage review packet
- Security guide
- Privacy and telemetry disclosure
- OIDC and SSO
- Proxy authentication
- Role-based access control (Pro)
- Audit logging (Pro)
- Reverse proxy configuration
- Code-signing policy
Plans and managed access
- Community, Relay, and Pro capabilities
- Relay and Pulse Mobile handoff
- Multi-tenant organizations (Enterprise/custom)
- Provider-hosted MSP operations (request-assisted)
Pulse Cloud is not generally available. Ordinary self-hosted Pulse remains the primary installation path; MSP and Enterprise access are explicit commercial paths rather than defaults in self-hosted setup.
Development and reference
Detailed design notes and dated migration specifications may remain in this directory for maintainers, but they are not operator setup guides unless they are linked from the sections above.
Previous versions and migrations
- Upgrade from v4 to v5
- Retired unified-navigation migration — historical context only; current Pulse uses platform-shaped navigation.
- Move a Pulse installation
