The complete offline Assistant suite exposed a live models.dev fetch in a unit test. Use the existing URL-injection seam with a loopback JSON fixture, assert every decoded provider and fuzzy cache key, and verify TTL reuse and recent versus old model classification. Isolate both tests from the singleton without changing production code.
Contract-Neutral: Test-only loopback fixtures replace live network and catalogue dependence with stricter cache assertions; no runtime, API, model-catalogue or product behaviour change.
