Omit the identifier key for device-independent legacy REST reporting graphs instead of sending an explicit null, matching the TrueNAS 13 middleware requests the reporter supplied for issue #2077. The null identifier is not the native contract and is a plausible whole-batch rejection that discards CPU and memory telemetry. Keep the existing per-graph failure isolation and add a request-validating synthetic regression that rejects any graph carrying an identifier key. Native CORE response schema and appliance acceptance remain unproved.

Treat higher delivered severity as new information for the same occurrence without bypassing manager admission, grouping or destination routing. Keep the highest delivered level across late lower-severity completions. Include the contract and observation-to-HTTP/history regressions in this commit.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Keep usable system telemetry when an optional reporting graph fails, with bounded per-graph fallback that preserves terminal errors. Stop treating FreeBSD active pages as total used memory so free/ARC history agrees with live projection.
Request-validating synthetic regressions cover repeated snapshots, history and adverse responses. Native CORE schema and appliance acceptance remain unproved for issue #2077.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Resolve issue #2076 mixed PVE/agent aliases only within the same parent and unique compatible device topology. Reject conflicting populated identities and controller-member fallback; preserve usable serials and WWNs over placeholders. Include snapshot and JSON regression coverage in the canonical registry verification artifact.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Prevent simultaneous recoveries from bypassing the configured grouping window. Preserve destination receipts and pending restart recovery, and keep PagerDuty incident keys separate. Include the notification contract and regression coverage with the runtime change.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Render complete wrapping paths above usage using an opt-in shared detail-row layout. Preserve compact rows and unknown-usage semantics. Include the typed regression fixture, registered primitive and Workloads guardrails, substantive owning contracts and the content-bound five-layout browser receipt in the same candidate commit. Recompose the rejected unshared candidate without changing its browser-tested runtime bytes. Addresses #2121.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
A standalone source=pbs host row and the PVE guest carrying the same agent are one machine. Collapse correlation candidates that share an agent identity and prefer the guest metrics target, whose persisted host series the Backups drawer renders; the PBS service target names the service key and has no host history. Distinct agent identities, or rows without a provable identity, still decline to choose so the drawer cannot substitute an unrelated host. Re-compose the reviewed runtime change with its three subsystem contracts, offline browser fixture, check script and a content-addressed browser receipt in one governed commit.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Complete the #2148 runtime change with the monitoring and unified-resources contract sections its canonical subsystem paths require, so the combined change satisfies the canonical completion guard without rewriting reviewed history.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
A PBS host/config backup (backup-type host) is keyed by the node name, not a guest VMID, so CheckBackupsWithInventory raised a guest backup-age alert under a node-named subject (for example 'nas backup via proxmox-pbs') that never advanced while the node's guests were backed up, notifying repeatedly. Skip backup-age alerts for PBS subjects with no guest VMID: they are host/config backups, not guest workloads, and the Backups overview already keeps them out of guest coverage. PVE host backups already produce no subject and no alert, restoring consistency. Genuine orphaned PBS guest backups (numeric VMID) and PMG node backups still alert. The recovery point and rollup are retained, so inventory and artifact display are unchanged; only the spurious alert is cleared. Includes the alerts subsystem contract record and the regression tests.

The secure-runtime RC qualification workflow (commit 79d87a4a2c) resolves the branch the control plane maps the version to and passes it as --main-ref, but secure_runtime_attestation_v6.verify_canonical_main_identity still required origin/main and required the candidate to be an ancestor of origin/main. Every release-train candidate therefore failed the pre-authentication step before any check ran; v6.4.5-rc.1 failed at 'Pre-authenticate exact qualification packet' with 'committed-main classification requires canonical origin/main' (run 35680955017), and all three historical runs failed.
Accept exactly origin/main or the release train's origin/release/vX.Y, verify the ref against the canonical origin's live branch tip, and check candidate ancestry against that same ref. The release-candidate classification is unchanged. Update the deployment-installability contract and the v6 unit tests, including a mapped-release-branch acceptance case.

Saved objectives could remain uncovered indefinitely after their in-memory
setup trigger was lost or rejected. Reconcile missing or invalidated
observers from retained intent and recheck its revision at run admission.
Persist attempt timing before provider work so restart and history pruning
cannot erase pacing. Keep coverage dependent on actual observer validation,
installation and health evidence.
Support case patrol-objective-recovery.
Record the #2140 node TLS-preference fix in the contracts its runtime commits touch: agent-lifecycle, api-contracts, security-privacy and the dependent storage-recovery contract, with the node API payload and persisted-field proofs in internal/api/contract_test.go and internal/config/config_load_test.go. The canonical completion history registers these contract and proof files as the completion of the auto-register and consolidation runtime commits.

ConsolidatePVEInstances promoted VerifySSL false->true whenever a merged duplicate or standalone had it enabled, silently re-enabling a disabled Verify SSL certificate setting on every save, load and monitor reconciliation (#2140). The add and update handlers now record an explicit operator choice in VerifySSLExplicit; a merge never overrides it, while the historical promotion is kept when neither side recorded a choice so an existing secure connection is not downgraded. A merged fingerprint still pins the peer.
Regression tests cover the standalone and duplicate-cluster merges and the reported PUT-save path through normalizePVEConfigState.

ConsolidatePVEInstances promoted VerifySSL false->true when folding a duplicate cluster or overlapping standalone into the canonical instance, silently re-enabling a disabled Verify SSL certificate setting on every save, load and monitor reconciliation (#2140). The canonical instance now owns the preference; a merged fingerprint still pins the peer, so verification is not downgraded.
Regression tests cover the standalone and duplicate-cluster merges and the reported PUT-save path through normalizePVEConfigState.

Dependabot's npm-minor-patch group (#2138) bumps frontend-modern and tests/integration but is blocked by Canonical Governance, which requires the deployment-installability contract update and the frontend dependency security proof in the same commit. The portal frontend in the same group is split out: it needs a portal bundle rebuild and is owned separately.
Carry the frontend-modern manifest/lock bump (dompurify 3.4.15, highlight.js 11.12.0, solid-js 1.9.15, @types/node 26.6.1, typescript-eslint 8.70.0, autoprefixer 10.6.1, eslint-plugin-solid 0.18.0, postcss 8.5.28, prettier 3.9.8, vite-plugin-solid 2.11.14, vite-plugin-sri-gen 1.7.4) and the tests/integration @types/node 26.6.1 bump with a Current State contract entry and dependencySecurity floor assertions. @playwright/test stays pinned at 1.56.1, so browser-test parity is unchanged.

Lands contributor PR #2067 (head 5eeea72a3a, author rcourtman) as a single maintainer commit on main. The PR documents the authenticated /api/resources/{id}/operator-state maintenance window contract and repairs GitHub-compatible documentation heading fragments.
Composed from the reviewed web-product candidate tree 68465bc48d (candidate 20260921T054028Z-web-product), which resolved the conflicts against main and replaced the unavailable github-slugger dependency with a dependency-free GitHub-compatible heading slugger. The tree is unchanged from that reviewed candidate; only the commit shape differs so the fdb2be15be..HEAD provenance range contains no external PR commit.
Validation retained from that candidate: vite build passed, check-bundle-size.mjs passed (vendor within budget), 61 focused vitest tests passed, and the offline Playwright docs-fragment-navigation run passed with a content-addressed browser-verification.json receipt based at fdb2be15be.

Record the shared windowing controller's representative item-height
measurement in the frontend-primitives and performance-and-scalability
contracts. Grouped surfaces lead with a short group header, so sampling only
the first sibling collapsed the estimate and desynced the mounted window from
the scroll position; the controller now samples several leading siblings and
keeps the tallest.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
A permanently-offline derived identity flapped a docker-host alert and wrote 4,748 resolved/refired pairs in three days; each lifecycle event stores a full alert-state snapshot averaging ~170 KB, so events.db reached 1.2 GB and filled the host root filesystem (#2113 downstream evidence). The 90-day age retention is not a volume bound: one alert can still write unbounded payload inside the window.
The hourly prune now also enforces a total stored snapshot-payload cap and removes the oldest events first when it is exceeded, raising the same retention revision age pruning uses so the history projection rebuilds from the remaining log. Normal installs stay far below the cap and are unaffected; the bound only triggers on pathological amplification. Focused proof in eventlog_snapshot_test.go; the alerts subsystem contract records the bound.

pkg/server/server.go is a security-privacy runtime path, so the startup
watchdog commit needs its contract obligation and an accepted proof in the

security-privacy contract and place the watchdog proof in the

Integrate the reviewed failed-staging config-backup discard repair (07d54cd345)
with its deployment-installability contract, installtest proof and registered
completion pair (ccfd22da7f, b36e9609dd). The candidate auto-update RETURN-trap
repair (9b004cc787) duplicates the already-integrated 564c235e32, so the merge
keeps the canonical trap implementation and both regression suites and retains
both registry entries. Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Record the deployment-installability contract section for the auto-update
RETURN-trap and failed-staging config-backup repairs, and add the Go proof
that exercises the extracted perform_update and asserts the trap does not leak
into a later function return. This completes the two runtime commits for
canonical governance as one reviewed unit each.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Follow-up to 564c235e32 (fix(update): disarm perform_update RETURN trap after
it runs). That runtime change touches the deployment-installability subsystem,
so this commit adds the matching substantive contract section in
docs/release-control/v6/internal/subsystems/deployment-installability.md and
the registry-accepted deployment-script-runtime proof in
scripts/installtests/pulse_auto_update_test.go
(TestPerformUpdateDoesNotLeakReturnTrap). The pair is registered in
scripts/release_control/canonical_completion_history.json by the next commit.

The five unified syncs ran serially and each waited for its own SQLite commit, so a registry rebuild that carried new data for several resource types opened one transaction per type and re-committed the same WAL. Collect the agent, VM, storage and app-container writes through a batch sink and commit them once; the per-series replay guard still runs first, so the series, values and source observation times are unchanged. Standalone callers keep the immediate write. Focused proof in monitor_host_agents_test.go; contract sections recorded in monitoring.md and agent-lifecycle.md.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
The unified physical-disk sync now anchors SMART history to the source
observation time and drops exact replays, so the monitoring and
agent-lifecycle contract sections record the disk-history behaviour and its
focused proof. The proof lives in monitor_host_agents_test.go alongside the
other unified-sync rebuild tests.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
The replay guard added in df44238797 only suppressed repeats for storage, whose samples already carry the provider LastSeen. The agent, VM and app-container syncs still stamped every write with the rebuild wall clock, so dedupeUnifiedMetricWrites could never match and each read-side registry rebuild re-issued the whole batch as fresh rows. That is the same WAL churn described in #1966, still live for VMware/TrueNAS VMs, TrueNAS apps and supplemental agents.
Resolve each resource's observation time from its metric source (unifiedResourceObservedAt) and use it for both the in-memory history point and the store write, matching the storage path. Proxmox and libvirt VMs already have native history writers, so exclude libvirt VMs from the unified VM sync to avoid writing a second timeline for the same series.
Contract sections recorded in monitoring.md and agent-lifecycle.md; focused proof added in monitor_polling_test.go and monitor_host_agents_test.go. Local Go compilation is unavailable this turn (module cache read-only, toolchain snapshot missing); the canonical completion guard passes and gofmt is clean.

The create-release prepare job now verifies that pulse-enterprise declares docs/release-source-pairs/<expected_source_sha>.json and that it names the frozen public commit before any draft release object exists. Record that obligation in the deployment-installability contract and add the release-promotion policy proof that guards the step and its ordering ahead of create_release.

The Windows unified agent exits at startup when HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Cryptography\MachineGuid is a braced GUID. gopsutil v4.26.6 reads the value through a fixed 74-byte buffer and rejects any length other than 36, so a braced 38-character GUID fails the whole InfoWithContext call and newAgent aborts with 'fetch host info'. Recover the host info on Windows when the host-ID read is the failing field: read MachineGuid directly, strip braces and fill the other fields from gopsutil accessors, while keeping any non-host-ID failure fatal. Canonicalise Windows machine IDs by removing braces so both forms map to one stable agent identity. Includes agent-lifecycle contract section and focused proof in the registry-accepted agent_new_test.go. Windows recovery is cross-compiled with GOOS=windows; runtime execution on Windows is not qualified in this environment.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Record the monitoring contract section for the TrueNAS legacy-REST memory telemetry repair and move its regression coverage into the registry-accepted internal/truenas/client_test.go proof file. The runtime commit and this contract/proof follow-up are one reviewed completion unit.

FreeBSD base ships sha256(1) but not GNU sha256sum or Perl shasum. Record the fallback contract for the unified and MCP installers and add the MCP installer proof the deployment-installability verification policy requires.

TrueNAS SCALE on AMD reports the bare `cpu` cputemp legend series at roughly 1.5x the hottest per-core reading, and the provider trusted that mapped `cpu_package` value unconditionally, firing an 80C threshold alert at a real ~60C. Compare `cpu_package` against the hottest `cpu*` per-core entry and fall back to the per-core max only when the package value exceeds it by more than 20%. Package-only and per-core-only payloads keep their existing behaviour. Adds focused provider coverage and records the selection contract for #2122.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Integrate the reviewed #2121 guest-drawer filesystem panel ordering fix (958eae0744) with its contract assertion and the Playwright browser receipt recomposed into the same commit. The reviewed commit's parent is 22fd851e72; this merge preserves its identity.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
The shared DetailSectionTable span algorithm gives the earlier of the last two compact sections the wider column. GuestDrawerOverview declared Tags before Filesystems, so a guest with tags and disks but no network section rendered Tags two tiles wide and the mount-point list one tile wide, which the reporter found hard to read (#2121). Declaring Filesystems first gives the longer list the readable panel and keeps the short tag list narrow.
Recomposes the reviewed #2121 fix and its Playwright browser receipt into a single commit on the current maintenance base (22fd851e72), because the per-commit browser guard requires the receipt in the same commit as the user-visible frontend source. The GuestDrawerOverview.tsx blob is byte-identical to the previously browser-verified content (sha256 bcfebc20), so the receipt is content-addressed to the same source; the added contract assertion and performance-and-scalability ordering note are unchanged.

Integrate the reviewed ai-runtime prompt-cache repair (248ada3cc6) with its transport contract (f08b96b968) and registered completion pair (bc3da3ad49). Merge resolved the canonical completion registry against the rehearsal-timeout completion pair already on main by keeping both entries.

Dependabot #2099 bumps @types/node 20.19.43 to 26.5.1 in frontend-modern, but the PR is blocked twice: Frontend tsc fails with TS2550 on .at() (26 removed the compatibility polyfill), and Canonical Governance blocks the package.json/lock change for a missing deployment-installability contract update and frontend dependency security proof.
Carry the bump with its required governance artifacts in one commit. tsconfig already declares the ES2022 lib (95db35b6c3), which the source's .at() usage needs; this adds the manifest and lock bump (matching tests/integration, which already pins @types/node ^26.5.1), a Completion Obligations entry, and a dependencySecurity proof that keeps the manifest range, the locked @types/node/undici-types versions and the declared lib in step. Verified offline: the guard passes and the proof test passes.

Address the remaining verified findings from the pkg/metrics/store.go review
(#2079 finding 5 and the lower-impact nits):
- writeBatch now retries the whole transaction on a retryable lock error.
BEGIN is deferred, so contention is hit at the first INSERT or COMMIT; the
old loop retried only Begin() and skipped rows. While the one-time startup
maintenance (deferred identity-index rebuild and auto-vacuum VACUUM) is
active, an extended retry budget keeps upgrade-time history instead of
dropping it after the steady-state budget.
- migrateLegacyHostResourceType probes with an indexed EXISTS before opening a
write transaction, so an already-migrated store does not dirty the WAL on
every boot.
- QueryAll caps the per-series MetricPoint preallocation so a fine requested
step over a long range cannot reserve hundreds of thousands of slots.
Regressions: TestStoreStartupMaintenanceSignalsWriteRetryBudget,
TestStoreWriteBatchExtendsRetryDuringStartupMaintenance,
TestEstimateQueryAllBatchSeriesCapacityCapsPreallocation. The
performance-and-scalability contract records the invariants.

Distinguish independent customer-owned Community, Relay and Pro installations
from provider-owned MSP entitlements so outside IT support alone does not
trigger an MSP requirement. Preserve per-customer subscriptions and the
prohibition on pooling licences across unrelated customers.
The canonical completion guard requires the metrics-store hot-path proof in
pkg/metrics/store_additional_test.go. Move the rollup-gap, upsert-spread,
busy-retry and auto-vacuum regressions there and point the
performance-and-scalability contract at that file. The runtime change and
contract section are in the preceding fix(metrics) commit.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Address the remaining verified findings from the pkg/metrics/store.go review
(#2079 findings 2-4 and 6):
- rollupTier no longer leaps its checkpoint over a source gap. Previously a
trailing or interspersed gap advanced the checkpoint to the rollup cutoff, so
a lower tier that backfilled the gap later had those rows stranded below the
upper checkpoint and purged by retention.
- Retry conditions now classify SQLITE_BUSY/LOCKED by driver result code. The
modernc driver reports "database is locked (5) (SQLITE_BUSY)", which the
previous exact-string comparison never matched, so a busy writer dropped its
batch without retrying.
- The metrics upsert preserves an existing rollup row's min/max spread with
COALESCE instead of overwriting it with NULL.
- migrateAutoVacuum pins the pragma and VACUUM to one connection and verifies
the persisted mode, so the one-time conversion cannot silently repeat a
full-file VACUUM on every restart.
Regressions: TestStoreRollupTierBackfillsInterspersedGap,
TestStoreWriteBatchPreservesRollupSpread, TestIsRetryableWriteError,
TestIsRetryableWriteErrorMatchesDriverBusyCode,
TestStoreAutoVacuumPersistsAcrossRestart. The performance-and-scalability
contract records the invariants.

Follow-up to the physical-disk endurance precedence fix. Records the
dependent agent-lifecycle contract section and moves the regression into the
accepted physical-disk proof file so later per-commit canonical guards find
both the contract and the verification artifact.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
The physical-disk SMART merge let a linked host agent raise a disk's
remaining life above the Proxmox inventory value. An intermittent NVMe
PercentageUsed 0 reading therefore resolved a genuine low-life disk-wearout
alert, which re-fired on the next physical-disk poll and emitted a fresh
resolved notification every poll interval (#2112).
The merge now takes the agent value only when the Proxmox value is unreported
or more pessimistic, never raising a reported remaining-life value, while
still recording the agent SMART attributes. This does not change agent
admission, token binding or removal-block behaviour.
Regression: TestMergeHostAgentSMARTIntoDisks_AgentWearoutDoesNotHideLowPVELife
and TestMergeHostAgentSMARTIntoDisks_AgentWearoutFillsUnreportedPVELife in
internal/monitoring/monitor_integration_test.go. The monitoring contract is
updated in this commit.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Contract-Neutral: Behavioral bug fix in the physical-disk SMART merge; no public API or external contract delta. The monitoring contract is updated in this commit and the dependent agent-lifecycle contract and accepted proof file follow in the next commit.
The ingestion worker closed writeCh when it observed stopCh. A concurrent WriteWithTier that passed its stopping check, or a WriteBatchSync/WriteBatchBounded caller (which never checks stopping), could then send on the closed channel and panic the process during shutdown. Reproduced deterministically: enqueueWrite after Close panics with send on closed channel, and 8 concurrent monitoring writers racing Close panic in boundedEnqueueAndWait (store.go:1034).
Never close writeCh. Drain already-queued requests non-blockingly, then process them. Late writes land in the buffered channel and are discarded with the store rather than crashing it. Record the invariant in the performance-and-scalability contract and pin it in the accepted store proof file.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
A removed host agent could re-enroll under a derived base-hex identity because identity resolution forked the machine before the removal block was consulted. The block is keyed on the base machine identity, so the forked ID bypassed it and the machine was silently re-admitted (#2113). ApplyHostReport now consults the base-identity removal block when the presenting token had no prior binding, so a fresh install token clears the block and heals to the base identity while an established distinct forked host (#1753) is left alone.
Record the behaviour in the monitoring and agent-lifecycle contracts and add the focused regression to the accepted monitor.go proof file. Change-source: pulse-maintainer
