pulse-triage[bot] 6bf99407b0 Check final browser evidence before local source compilation
Use the existing CI range guard in local pre-push validation so missing, stale, partial or invalid final-content browser proof cannot produce a green local verdict. Bind the outgoing range to exact commits and its common ancestor, preserving honest own-parent receipts when upstream advances or merges. A refused receipt stops before compilation and type-checking; changed-graph strict audit and all protected rules stay unchanged.

Contract-Neutral: Local preflight now invokes the existing browser evidence rule; production code, receipt admission semantics and protected CI policy are unchanged.

pulse-triage[bot] 94abfb3511 Reject incomplete frontend local delivery preflight
Run the existing bounded strict audit before expensive local checks when frontend manifests or its audit runner change. Fail missing frontend dependencies rather than print a passing pre-push verdict after a skipped type-check. Preserve per-commit contract binding, CI gates and the inherited-advisory policy; execute real disposable Git and canned-provider orchestration controls without an external advisory query.

Contract-Neutral: Local developer preflight now reports incomplete checks honestly; no runtime, API, dependency graph or protected CI policy changes.

rcourtman cf785c0ac5 Judge each commit's contract edit against that commit, not HEAD
CI and dev-prepush walk a branch's commits with HEAD at the branch tip and
run the completion guard per commit with --diff-base <commit>^. The guard
then compared the parent's contract text against HEAD rather than against
the commit it was evaluating, so every commit was judged by the whole
branch. The pre-commit hook compares HEAD with the staged index, which is
the commit's own parent-to-commit change, so the two disagreed.

PR 2494 hit this: its second commit reverted a Current State paragraph in
performance-and-scalability.md that its first commit wrote. Parent-vs-HEAD
saw no change, and CI blocked a commit the hook had correctly passed. The
same comparison lets a bare runtime commit through when a later commit in
the branch carries the contract update.

When --commit is given, the guard now resolves the diff base and reads the
new contract text from that commit. CI already passes --commit, and
dev-prepush now does too. Without --commit the guard still compares with
HEAD, which is right when the evaluated commit is checked out.

pulse-triage[bot] 553592d2bd fix(governance): align pre-push guard with CI 2026-08-27 17:07:58 +01:00
courtmanr@gmail.com 8aeffc456d Parallelize Build and Test and add a local pre-push check
The Build and Test workflow ran everything in one serial job — frontend
lint/tests/build, the full go test -race sweep, and benchmarks — for a
37-55 minute wall clock on every push. The job now splits into parallel
jobs: frontend (lint, unit tests, type-check, bundle build and size gate),
backend tests sharded three ways with internal/api on its own shard since
it alone takes ~10m under -race, script smoke tests with the backend
build, and benchmarks with the existing baseline cache flow. Backend jobs
satisfy the frontend embed with a stub index.html, which unit tests do
not assert against; the real bundle is still built and size-gated by the
frontend job and by release builds. Expected wall clock is roughly the
slowest single job, 10-15 minutes.

A new changes job skips the build/test jobs when a push touches only
docs/ and Markdown, mirroring the path filters Core E2E already has. The
gitleaks secret scan deliberately stays unconditional since this workflow
is the only per-push scan and docs can leak secrets too.

scripts/dev-prepush.sh runs the checks that most often turn main red,
scoped to the outgoing commits: the canonical completion guard in CI
mode, the registry snapshot tests when registry.json changed, the
mutation registry audits, build plus tests for touched Go packages, and
the frontend type-check. It exists because CI verdicts arrive well after
the push; today's unclassified force-fail route would have failed it
locally in about a minute.
