Require a blank destination instead of using nodes.enc as a first-run sentinel. Recheck before writes, retain unknown or unreadable state, and leave deliberate authenticated transfer unchanged. Keep deployment .env provisioning and encrypted file precedence; explain the separate archive path in canonical and served help.

Document the existing nodes.enc gate, replacement scope, file precedence and non-fatal import errors. Preserve agent identity and excluded state, isolate provisioning from live traffic, and keep one-shot inputs private rather than forcing a reset.
Contract-Neutral: Existing bootstrap and encrypted-import behaviour is unchanged; this corrects canonical and served help, with documentation regression controls.

Close the token-response fence that swallowed the Audit Log heading and first endpoint, and route migration recovery's safe-reporting link to the existing Getting Help section. Check actual rendered fragment destinations across all shipped guides, including nested documents, rather than accepting headings that only exist inside code blocks.
Contract-Neutral: Documentation rendering inputs and navigation regression tests only; frontend runtime, API behaviour, guest operations, storage, permissions and delivery controls are unchanged.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Separate configuration transfer from complete stopped-state recovery, correct omitted platform and agent-state claims, and preserve safe credential/retargeting guidance. Validate the real encrypted archive and production dialogs with scoped tests and desktop/phone browser interactions. No new backup capability or runtime contract change.
Contract-Neutral: The archive, persistence, authentication and agent contracts are unchanged; help and visible warnings now describe existing scope, with regression proof for that account.
Change-source: pulse-maintainer
Restoring a configuration backup onto a Pulse instance with a new address
makes every agent vanish until each agent's configured --url (PULSE_URL for
containers) is updated, because agents dial the address they were installed
with. The post-migration checklist covered the token but not the address.
Refs #1813
Implements server-side persistence for AI chat sessions, allowing users
to continue conversations across devices and browser sessions. Related
to #1059.
Backend:
- Add chat session CRUD API endpoints (GET/PUT/DELETE)
- Add persistence layer with per-user session storage
- Support session cleanup for old sessions (90 days)
- Multi-user support via auth context
Frontend:
- Rewrite aiChat store with server sync (debounced)
- Add session management UI (new conversation, switch, delete)
- Local storage as fallback/cache
- Initialize sync on app startup when AI is enabled
- Major updates to README.md and docs/README.md for Pulse v5
- Added technical deep-dives for Pulse Pro (docs/PULSE_PRO.md) and AI Patrol (docs/AI.md)
- Updated Prometheus metrics documentation and Helm schema for metrics separation
- Refreshed security, installation, and deployment documentation for unified agent models
- Cleaned up legacy summary files
The storage deduplication logic only checked cluster config's Shared
flag, but this required the cluster config API call to succeed. When
the per-node storage API already returns shared=1 (as the user
verified), we should use that directly.
Now we check three sources for shared storage detection:
1. Per-node API shared flag (storage.Shared)
2. Cluster config shared flag (if available)
3. Storage type heuristics (NFS, RBD, PBS, etc.)

Add contextual help icons throughout the UI to improve feature
discoverability. Users can click (?) icons to see explanations
with examples for settings they might not understand.
- HelpIcon component with click-to-open popover
- Centralized help content registry in /content/help/
- FeatureTip component for dismissible contextual tips
- Help added to: alert delay, AI endpoints, update channel
Adds IncludeAllDeployments option to show all deployments, not just
problem ones (where replicas don't match desired). This provides parity
with the existing --kube-include-all-pods flag.
- Add IncludeAllDeployments to kubernetesagent.Config
- Add --kube-include-all-deployments flag and PULSE_KUBE_INCLUDE_ALL_DEPLOYMENTS env var
- Update collectDeployments to respect the new flag
- Add test for IncludeAllDeployments functionality
- Update UNIFIED_AGENT.md documentation
Addresses feedback from PR #855
- FAQ.md: Replace LXC installer one-liner with Docker quick start
- MIGRATION.md: Replace LXC mention with Kubernetes
- README.md: Remove "Proxmox LXC" from installation methods list
The install.sh script is a unified agent installer, not an LXC
container creator. Pulse server installation is via Docker,
Kubernetes helm, or manual systemd setup.
