* test(collab): freeze the collab schema version, because a bump deletes every item's unflushed edits (BUG-3244 U0) A join at a new schema version prunes the item's whole op-log. That includes the content-bearing rows above the flush watermark, and it clears content_state, so the stale body then reads as current. Measured on main with a no-bump control (trail on BUG-3244). Until the rebuild sets those rows aside instead of deleting them (BUG-3244 option A) a bump is a data-loss release. So a guard test now fails on any change to DefaultSchemaVersion. A second test reads the web client's SCHEMA_VERSION and fails when it differs from the server's; no lockstep check existed, and a disagreement refuses every editor upgrade. CLAUDE.md said this prune loses no edit history, which is false; that prose is corrected and freeze notes are added on both constants.
