Self-service deletion from Settings > Profile confirmed with the account
password (when present) plus a 6-digit code sent by email, and a root-only
"delete by email" tool in the impersonation bar to fulfil GDPR requests.
Both paths run the same flow: cancel every Stripe subscription (customer is
kept for invoicing), delete the user and all owned organizations in one
transaction, anonymize audit trail left in other organizations, reassign
pending invitations to the org owner, remove the HubSpot contact when
HUBSPOT_ACCESS_TOKEN is configured, and log a JSON deletion record.
Also blocks better-auth's raw /admin/remove-user endpoint and makes the
Stripe webhook tolerate subscription/customer events for already deleted
users.
better-auth's account-linking guard requires either the IdP asserting
email_verified or the sso_provider row being domainVerified before it
will link an SSO login to an existing local user with the same email.
Entra ID never asserts email_verified (neither via its OIDC userinfo
endpoint nor via SAML attributes), and Dokploy never persisted
domainVerified at all, so linking was permanently impossible for any
Entra-backed provider (OIDC or SAML) regardless of the local user's
own emailVerified state.
Add the domainVerified column, defaulting to true — Dokploy already
scopes providers to an admin-configured domain and gates registration
behind enterprise/admin permissions, so that domain match (still
enforced by better-auth's validateEmailDomain check) is trust enough.
Fixes#5099
- Include /sign-in/passkey, /passkey/verify-authentication, /passkey/generate-authenticate-options, and /sign-up/email in enforced SSO block
- Prevents registered passkeys from bypassing enforced SSO policies
Resolves#5288.
- In better-auth hooks.before, reject /sign-in/email and /sign-in/social with FORBIDDEN when webServerSettings.enforceSSO is enabled
- Prevents direct API password authentication when SSO enforcement is enabled
Reaching a server implied being able to open an SSH root shell on it: the
/terminal websocket only checked that the server was in the caller's accessible
set, so granting a server to a developer necessarily granted root on it.
Add a server.terminal action, assignable on custom roles, and require it on the
remote-server terminal websocket on top of server access. Owner/admin keep it
through the enterprise bypass; the local host terminal stays owner/admin only.
A migration grants server.terminal to existing custom roles that already have
server.read, which is the permission that surfaces the terminal today, so
current setups keep working. Roles without a server entry are left alone.
Note: server.create still implies root execution (server.update persists
server.command and server.setup runs it over SSH), reflected in the Create
description in the role editor.
SCIM provisioning created users with emailVerified: false, so better-auth
refused to link the matching SSO account (account_not_linked), and the
resulting redirect landed on better-auth's bare /error page with no
actionable feedback.
- Mark SCIM-provisioned users as email-verified at creation time, same
trust rationale already applied to admin-invited credential users.
- Sync a SCIM user's membership role to the organization's configured
default role instead of the hardcoded "member" the SCIM plugin creates.
- Set errorCallbackURL/onAPIError.errorURL to the sign-in page so failed
SSO/OAuth callbacks land back on Dokploy's UI instead of better-auth's
generic error page.
- Read the error query param on the sign-in page and show it through the
existing AlertBlock instead of failing silently.
Fixes#4973
Lets you connect a DNS provider and manage its records (create,
update, delete) from Settings -> DNS Providers, instead of doing it
by hand in Cloudflare/AWS.
- dns_provider table, org-scoped, jsonb config as a discriminated
union per provider type
- Cloudflare adapter (REST, bearer token)
- Route53 adapter (AWS SDK, SigV4); records are identified by
type:name since Route53 has no native record id, so update
handles renames as delete-old + upsert-new
- listZones/listRecords/createRecord/updateRecord/deleteRecord/
testConnection wired through a shared DnsClient interface
- Settings UI: provider management, zone browser, record CRUD,
IP-fill dropdown for A records (panel IP + remote servers)
- Access control: dnsProvider resource wired into custom roles
- Unit tests for both adapters and the config mask/merge logic
- Added support for managing various vault providers (HashiCorp, AWS, Azure, Doppler, Infisical) in the dashboard.
- Implemented environment variable resolution using vault references, allowing seamless integration of secrets into application environments.
- Enhanced UI components to display and manage vault providers effectively.
- Introduced tests for vault reference resolution and environment variable preparation.
- Updated related components to utilize new vault management features.
Updated the SSO configuration to trust verified emails and modified user creation to set emailVerified to true by default. This enhances security and ensures that user email verification is properly handled.
The @dokploy/server modules get bundled multiple times per process
(esbuild inline copy, compiled node_modules copy, and several Next.js
chunks via transpilePackages), so every module-level side effect ran
once per copy: up to 6 postgres pools, 6 dockerode clients and 6
better-auth instances in the server process, plus the repeated
'Using Docker socket' logs at boot.
- db/index.ts: use the globalThis cache in production too (one pool per process)
- constants/index.ts: cache the dockerode client on globalThis
- lib/auth.ts: wrap betterAuth() in a factory and cache the instance
- Dockerfile: exec node directly instead of leaving pnpm resident (~100MB RSS)
- Added a new script `migrate-auth-secret.ts` to facilitate the migration of 2FA secrets when changing the BETTER_AUTH_SECRET.
- Updated `package.json` to include a command for running the migration script.
- Refactored the handling of BETTER_AUTH_SECRET to improve security by removing the hardcoded default and introducing a fallback mechanism using environment variables or Docker secrets.
- Updated the authentication logic to utilize the new `betterAuthSecret` function for retrieving the secret.
- Added `sendInvitationEmail` function to send invitation emails when a new organization is created in the cloud environment.
- Updated email template to enhance the invitation message and included a direct link for users to accept the invitation.
- Refactored email sending logic in the user router to utilize the new invitation email rendering function.
- Improved organization invitation email design for better user experience.
Prevents owner/admin users of one organization from accessing servers,
destinations, and Docker Swarm join tokens belonging to other organizations
by validating organizationId on all endpoints that accept serverId or
destinationId as direct input.
- cluster: validate serverId org on getNodes, addWorker, addManager, removeWorker
- deployment: validate serverId org on allByServer
- backup: validate destinationId + serverId org on listBackupFiles
- volume-backups: validate destinationId + serverId org on restoreVolumeBackupWithLogs
- wss: validate server org on docker-container-logs, docker-container-terminal,
listen-deployment, and terminal WebSocket handlers
- auth: fix TypeScript type for API key metadata parsing
Change the logger's disabled property to be dependent on the NODE_ENV variable, ensuring logging is disabled in production for improved performance and security.
- Add `sendOnSignIn: true` to emailVerification config so unverified users
receive a new verification email when they attempt to sign in
- Create styled verification email template matching the invoice email design
- Extract `sendVerificationEmail` helper to keep auth.ts clean
- Show friendly message on login when email is not verified
- Normalize emails with toLowerCase().trim() before comparing
- Wrap getUserByToken in try/catch since it throws TRPCError on miss,
rethrow as APIError for consistent error responses
Also checks that the invitation is not expired and has not already been
used before allowing account creation.
