UI: group chip buttons changed to icon-only (matching folder chips), Create Group tile styling unified with Create Folder, old .group-chip-action CSS replaced with unified .chip-action class.
Go server: peerResponse and singlePeerResponse now return status as int (1=active, 0=disabled) instead of string, added status_text for admin panel backward compat. Fixes RustDesk client crash 'type String is not a subtype of type int?'.
Go server: new handleUsersWithClientFallback — detects RustDesk client requests to /api/users and returns current user without requiring user.view permission. Fixes disappearing folders/groups caused by _getUsers() 403 short-circuiting _pull().
Node.js: normalisePeer updated to use status_text fallback for status_tier.
Branding: RustDesk Server Management -> BetterDesk Server Management across themes, i18n, settings. Console version bumped to 3.0.0.

5 root causes identified and fixed:
- H1: /api/peers returned status as string 'ONLINE' — RustDesk PeerPayload expects int (1=active, 0=disabled). New handleClientPeersList() detects client requests (?accessible/?pageSize) and returns {total,data} envelope with PeerPayload format (nested info map, int status).
- H2: mergeAdminTagsIntoAB() used typed struct → silently dropped tag_colors field. Rewritten with map[string]any to preserve all AB fields.
- H3: /api/device-group/accessible missing (404) — RustDesk GroupModel._getDeviceGroups() calls this endpoint. Added route pointing to handleClientGroupList.
- H4: /api/users returned plain array with wrong field names — RustDesk expects {total,data} with UserPayload (name, display_name, status:int, is_admin:bool). New handleClientUsersList() returns correct format.
- L1: .group-chip.chip-add CSS didn't fully override base 3-column grid. Added explicit grid/centering/dashed-border overrides.
Also updated handleClientGroupPeers (/api/peers/list) to use PeerPayload format with nested info map for consistency.

Make device group edit/delete actions visible, add direct user-group management entry points from the device group ACL modal, and allow device group editors to load user groups for ACL assignment.

Introduce a SessionManager for relay-based remote sessions in the Tauri MGMT client: new SessionCommand API, start/stop/session input routing, clipboard/recording/quality controls, and notification read/dismiss state. Wire AppState with new mutexes and show main window on startup. CI: add SBOM generation (anchore) and Trivy vulnerability scan steps. Misc: change console Docker DB path, large README/CHANGELOG updates (chat E2E, unattended access/WOL, i18n expansion, CDAP/SDK docs), and many web-nodejs assets/locales/routes/views/services and server-side changes.
Simplify the management app startup and UI: App.tsx now initializes auth and conditionally renders Login or Layout with a minimal Splash. Introduces an auth store and new Login/Layout components, adds DeviceList and Settings components, and updates Sidebar, Dashboard, locales and global styles. Removes the legacy chat window (HTML + entry), the tauri chat window entry, and many panel components that were unused (Activity, Automation, CDAP, ChatWindow, Connection, RemoteAgent, Management, NotificationCenter, Operator, OrgLogin, PasswordDialog, RemoteBadge, RemoteView, ServerPanel, SettingsPanel, SetupWizard, TotpDialog, Toolbar, etc.). Also adds a favicon and updates vite/server config and main entry adjustments to reflect the new streamlined, auth-driven layout.
Introduce full CDAP subsystem and devices UI overhaul. Adds a new CDAP WebSocket gateway (cdap/gateway.go) with auth, connection lifecycle, message loop, heartbeat monitor and APIs (cdap/api.go, cdap/auth.go, cdap/handler.go, cdap/manifest.go, cdap/messages.go). Wire CDAP into the server (api/server.go + handlers in api/cdap_handlers.go) exposing REST endpoints for status, device list, info, manifest, state and sending commands. Enhance peer handling: CDAP-connected overlay in peer list/get, device revocation/cascade support in handleDeletePeer (blocklist, connection teardown, events + audit), and new audit action ActionPeerRevoked. Frontend updates include CDAP device page, widgets, commands, styles and services; major devices page UI redesign (responsive folder chips, toolbar, slim table, kebab menu) plus related CSS/JS/views, translations, docs and assets. Overall adds CDAP features, revocation workflow, and a responsive devices UI.
Bump to v2.3.0 and switch to Node.js web console as the primary console (Flask deprecated). Add comprehensive security and feature updates: CSRF protection, session-fixation prevention, timing-safe auth, WebSocket auth, TOTP 2FA, operator/admin roles, address-book sync, desktop connect (URI handler), and SSL certificate configuration in installers. Introduce a dedicated RustDesk Client API (WAN port 21121) and related web-nodejs middleware, routes, views, protos, and client JS (rdclient) plus vendor libs. Add developer tooling and scripts (dev_modules), update hbbs-patch-v2 Rust sources, README and changelog/docs, and ignore Node.js artifacts in .gitignore.
Introduce a new Node.js-based web console (Express + EJS + better-sqlite3) under web-nodejs/ and add installer support to choose between Node.js and the legacy Flask console. Update interactive ALL-IN-ONE installers (betterdesk.sh, betterdesk.ps1) with flags/options for --nodejs/--flask, automatic Node.js installation, migration logic, enhanced service handling and diagnostics. Bump VERSION to 2.2.0 and update README and project docs (.github/copilot-instructions.md) to reflect the new console, usage examples, and Docker/docs changes. Many new web-nodejs files and supporting middleware/services/routes/views/static assets were added to support the new console.
